In League of Legends, the Smart Cast feature allows players to cast spells, abilities, or buffs with one click. The default command for selfcast is ‘alt’ + Q/W/E/R, which can only be used with spells that can be used on allies. To enable or disable Quick Cast, use F1-F5 keys to cast spells on yourself or your allies. The default binding for self cast is Alt + (Q, W, E, R).
To cast a targeted spell on yourself, hover your cursor over your own champion. The default key binding for Smart casting is Shift, and you press alt + Q/W/E/R or whatever to target yourself. For portraits, you just have to cast on their portrait. There are three ways to do this: Click spell, target character, click spell, target character icon on the bottom left, or click spell, target character icon on top left.
Selfcasting is often necessary when a player needs to cast spells on themselves during teamfights. The combination will look like Shift+Q/WE/R, depending on which of the four abilities the player wants to use. You can set all your spells to quick cast by default.
To enable Quick Cast, change all keybindings from alt-q/w/e/r/d/f to just q/w/e/r/d/f in your keybindings. This will allow you to cast abilities on any character. To cast a targeted spell on yourself, hover your cursor over your own champion.
