In Clash of Clans, the Inferno Tower is a powerful defense tool that can be set on single or multi-target mode. Its effectiveness depends on the type of Inferno Tower being used. Multi infernos are useless against e-dragons and regular dragons, and heroes with high levels. Heal spells can be dropped on them, but they do not receive any healing while being targeted by the Inferno Tower.
A maxed Healer heals 90 HP per second, which covers the 57 DPS dealt by the Multi-Mode. Therefore, it is better to use the Single-Mode for healing. Heal spells can be affected by Inferno towers, and troops under a Heal Spell can survive incoming damage from a multi-target Inferno Tower. However, a single-targeting healing spell will quickly outpace the spell’s pulse rate and healing capability.
In the December update, inferno towers no longer block healing, meaning that multi-target Inferno Towers against heal spells will not block healing. This means that mid HP troops like Valkyries, Bowlers, Hogs, and Wizards will slowly lose their health.
Heal spells can be cast to create a Ring of Healing, which will heal units while they are inside the ring. Inferno Towers no longer interfere with healing spells, and Troops like Hog Riders and Valkyries will make a comeback on TH10 and TH11 War Base Designs.
The Inferno Tower burns up dark elixir to produce hot flames, and it can be set in two modes: single or multi-target. The Heal Spell is potentially the best support for units attacking the multi-targeting defense.

This spell, which requires Town Hall to be at level 6, heals all friendly troops and heroes within the ring, including healers. The healing rate is reduced to 55 the rate of normal troops, while Siege Machines are unaffected. The spell lasts 12 seconds, with 40 healing pulses every 0. 3 seconds.
It provides a medium-ranged radius with yellow shades of glowing color, and is particularly effective when used with high-health and slow troops with many defenses. The Inferno Tower’s ability to block healing effects has been removed.
How to tell if Inferno is single or multi?
An Inferno Tower can be identified as single or multiple target mode by its top flames coming out of a large circular hole. The optimal mode for defending against multiple attacks is a combination of single target towers and multi tower targets. For areas with Area of Effect defenses, a single target tower can be effective, while near single target defenses, a multi tower target is best. How many zaps to take out Inferno?
The Inferno Tower is a powerful defensive structure that can be a significant threat to heavy troops and light units. It can be destroyed by a combination of Lightning Spells and a group of Minions, especially if it is behind multiple walls and defenses. Small troops are stronger against the Inferno Tower in single-target mode, as it must heat up again every time it targets a new troop. Golems can be destroyed quickly, but if surrounded by Archers or Barbarians, it can be defeated quickly.
In single-target mode, it can only target one unit at a time, making it an easy target for attacking units. The Inferno Tower’s top can indicate whether it is in single or multiple target mode. A loaded tower glows with lava and flame, while an empty one is unlit, black stone. It takes 2 maxed Lightning Spells and one maxed Earthquake Spell to take down an initial level Inferno Tower. The Grand Warden’s Eternal Tome allows all troops in his range to be healed, preventing the loss of troops for a short amount of time.
Can you heal through Inferno Towers?
The Inferno Tower can now be toggled between different modes in War Base, even if they are being upgraded in the Home Village. A Healing Spell can negate damage done by a multi-targeting Inferno Tower, but a single-targeting one can quickly outpace the spell’s pulse rate and healing capability. The Inferno Tower can now acquire new targets faster and has been added to level 4 and level 5. The upgrade time or cost of these towers has been discounted.

📹 Single Target vs Multi Target Inferno Tower – Clash of Clans
Single Target Inferno tower vs Multi Target Inferno Tower in Clash of Clans (COC). Inferno Towers are one of the best defenses in …
I’m town hall 12 and I use 2 singles on either side of the town hall and 1 multi next to the town hall in-between the singles. I don’t understand why some people only use single or only use multi. They are clearly designed for dealing with different troops and are really good at doing what they are designed so using a combination of single and multi infernos covers the entire spectrum.
These are stupid ways to go about doing tests because there’s no walls, and not 3-4 other defenses in with you…. How often do 20 troops get a free run at something with walls/other defenses. Of course the offense is going to win most of the time. Do this with level 10-11 walls around the entire tower then see how good it does against 20-30 barbarians…. Feel like these tests aren’t valid
Its really kind of strange: at th10 since their base damage is so low infernos are best set to single, at TH11/12 they become better in terms of base damage and are best multi; at TH13 we have the scattershot and a better giga weapon so it is best set to single; at TH14/15 we add a target for the multi at Lv8+ and we introduced the monolith so we set it back to multi again
Single targeted Inferno is the ultimate defence on the last 80% if 1 or 2 is still not taken if its a single targeted one. Since it delt 2,220+ damage if the enemy is still alive for 5 or 6 second. They always lock heros first before enemy troops so theres a big chance you’re not gonna score 3 stars if the heros aim suck as hell
The thing is – different inferno work for different bases. If you’re lacking in splash damage, or getting destroyed by hogs, then obviously the multi is going to be better. Likewise if you’re getting spammed with edrags, putting them on single will help tame them. I struggle defending against edrag spam so mine are set to single, I position them to weave between xbow and air defense and put a tornado trap just in range of it so that I could at least take out 1 or 2.
Imo this compare is not fair. It is a rear situation, where only one inferno is “fighting” against bunch of archers, barbars, etc. You should compare them while there are other def too. I mean, there are a planty of def with heavy AOE dmg: scatershots, townhall, eagle, mortars (+multi one) bombtowers, wizardtowers and a lot of traps. In this case multi inferno just has a lot of concurrents, which can deal with spam units threat. While singe inferno’s only main concurrent, that specialty is the destruction of heavy units (besides seeking air mines and jump trap) is Monolith, which is unlocked on th15. I am not even talking about super units exist. Most of them are just 2-4 regular units combined into one (if we talking only about stats – housing space). Here, obviously, single inferno also better. And, at the end, not all units are being used equally often. Usually it’s some kind of Pekka smash, Yeti smash, E-titans Smash, Quinn change Hydra/hybrid. Super Withces or super Bowlers. I am not even talking about e-dragas, literally every casual player uses them. In all those, what’s important, popular mixes, the main units are heavy tanks or heroes. In this scenario single inferno also be better, cause it would be able to kill 1-2 pekkas or yetis or titans, which will be better, then hurting some of them, and then they just got healed by spells or healers. So yeah, in my opinion when tou got to th13 and got a hell of amount of AOE dmg def, AND a lot of people using mostly heavy units, single inferno is better option
let me clear your doubt if to use multi or single-target inferno tower when to use a multi-target inferno tower? If you think your base is closed packed and by closed packed I mean that the buildings and all the defences are very close to each other then you should use the multi-target inferno tower since it targets multiple troops so in case your base is under attack it will give the enemy some damage before they can actually 3 or 2 star your base when to use a single-target inferno tower? if you believe that your base is large and expanded over the whole village then you should use the single-target inferno tower since your base is so expanded and large the enemy troops unless it is one of the spam armies like e-drags or drags will have a hard time clearing the whole base unless you’re not rushed and having single-target inferno tower can damage the tank troops which is really helpful since now other defences can take care of the troops with fewer hitpoints
You see how it just depends on the troop. When it’s a huge troop like Dragon or PEKKA and only one is deployed, single obviously wins as it does more damage per unit. Wizards, Barbs etc single would perish as it would only kill one troop every 3 seconds and there are a lot of them. Giants and Balloons, single wins again as killing one troop takes away most of the firepower the group has, meaning the single can easily survive while the multi only reduces the HP for both balloons (or all 3 giants) without killing any of them
Single target inferno tower – What ever spells u can use to heal but my unbelievable cause of damage for single targets will slay you Even Pekka Electro dragon, dragon yeti no strong one can’t survive Multi target inferno tower: LOL but small barbarians Archers even can defeat you I will defeat by constantly roasting multiple targets Single target inferno tower: Ok I agree but u can’t survive when heavy units arrives We both have a strength and weak ness But I have a speciality than all I can cause unbelievable damage to any troops even they have 10k hp No other defenses has 😎😎
Multi inferno is more dangerous than single target inferno… It creates lot of problem in bat attack strategy, witches attack n hybrid attack.Single target inferno is no match for bat, witches, hybrid, laloon etc.People use to attack this type of attack most rather than Rage electro. I always set my all inferno in multi target and this enable me to defend my base against the opponent.
Single target is effective in more weightage troops likes ed/dragon/super dragons etccc and its very non efective in witches hog rider and small weightage troops Multi target is very effective in small weightage troops witchs hog rider barbarians and all another small weigtage troops and not very effective like ed/dragons
Its actually best to place 1 inf tower on each setting imo. If you space them out it doesn’t matter what attack is coming, yes one inf will go down but the 2nd one will melt the attack when it reaches it. When you unlock 3 I would put two on single target spaced out along the left and right of the village and place the one on multi target in the center, or two multi and 1 single.
