Umbra Mystic is a powerful card that grants auras to permanents controlled by the player, regardless of who controls those Auras. It is a replacement effect for Totem Armor, which grants Umbra armor to creatures attached to permanents. However, it does not grant umbra armor to creatures attached to other permanents.
The effect of Umbra Mystic is mandatory, and if the enchanted creature would be destroyed, the player must remove all damage from it. If an enchantment aura granting totem armor is also being destroyed, it does not protect the creature in question. Totem armor is a replacement effect, and Umbra Mystic grants umbra armor to Auras attached to permanents controlled by the player.
Umbra Mystic grants a significant edge by empowering auras to stick around even if the creatures they are attached to are destroyed. This means that the player won’t lose card investment from board wipes or targeted removal, effectively preserving their board state and resources committed. The spell or ability that says it would “destroy” a creature enchanted with an Aura with umbra armor is what causes the Aura to be destroyed instead.
However, Umbra Mystic is susceptible to many forms of removal as a creature and as an enchantment deck. As an enchantment deck, it is not immune to damage or destruction. If a permanent has multiple auras and Umbra Mystic is out giving them all totem armor, would all auras be destroyed if someone else controls them?
In summary, Umbra Mystic is a powerful card that grants a significant advantage by empowering auras to stick around even if the creatures they are attached to are destroyed.

Warframelore #abyssofdagath #warframecrosssave The Mistress of entrapment, Khora is the slayer of enemies! A fan favorite …
Imagine hypothetically you live to be in your 20’s-30’s in this fantasy medieval world and you hear of an ancient dagger that supposedly has the power to kill something instantly and you take a group of close friends to try and take it but as you progress through the dungeon some of you are dying one by one and your badly wounded but you’ve managed to push forward enough to see the last and final door and you go through . . . Only too find a health potion waiting
You wait until you find out about sneaking around the side to avoid the tripwires entirely or breaking them with the flames spell so they go off and the traps miss you or using the Telekinesis spell to steal things at a distance. Then you can find out about using Telekinesis, possibly plus the Quiet Casting perk from the Illusion skill, to steal loads of things right from under the noses of hostiles.
I did this trick before in some random dungeon really long time ago but what amazes me the most is how many tricks and easter eggs we discover after all this years. This game surely is a masterpiece despite its bugs and limitations. I only wonder how much stuff is gonna be to discover in the future Elder Scrolls game. Keep it up man! I’m with you on a train twards Elder Scrolls 6, its gonna be a long ride tho don’t gave up 🙂
I enchanted a set of armor with a ton of health and healing buffs just because I delved into dungeons so often I couldn’t be bothered with checking for traps. So I decided to just be able to walk through literally anything the game threw at me. I was more than a tank lol, I was the whole damn fortress in daedric armor.
So far no one has found out this exploit. It is very similar to this, there is a box under winterfell college to make random daedric enchanted armors, you need to go back into the box after it started to use the items, make sure the items of quantity is up top and the heart at the bottom, it needs to use 1 item from the box to work. A slight noise tick sfx from the box will let you know when the items are being used for you to do it. I usually start it and open the box to look at the items then the sound will go off and then I take everything Only after hearing that noise you take everything out of it and you can infinitely spawn random armors. This also goes for the dlc for jumping spiders although there isn’t a sfx for it, you just have to guess. So far I haven’t seen anyone do this exploit or heard of anyone doing it without mods. If you’re able to show this to people, it’s a nice way to get gold and also keep achievements in game without the use of mods. It’s been years since I’ve played this game but even in special edition you can do it, so this hasn’t got patched as far as I know. Whether I’m the first or not, I’m sure I’m the first telling you about it lol. I will be trying this in the new elder scrolls most definitely 🤣. Good luck and hopefully you can pull it off!
OK I’ve been playing Skyrim for a very long time and I think I’ve tried about every build you can possibly try on Skyrim, then I came to your website wow this is impressive I have officially put together all four of your bills and have them hard saved through Bessida online thank you so much bud you’ve really changed my view of this game
You’d be surprised what your able to do in skyrim. A lot of the more generic traps like this one have more realistic ways to deal with them like swinging axe hallways actually not requiring whirlwind sprint and can instead be traversed through normally or by getting more creative. It’s such a good inclusion for those players that like immersion and realism
I knew you could do that, but that’s because when I bought Skyrim I also got the Guide Books. And when a new edition came out for dlcs I’d also get the updated book. It helped me and my younger brother out a couple of times when we got stuck, and also taught us a few tricks like that too. I actually still have those books, even if the copies of Skyrim I bought with them no longer work. We had done the same thing back when Oblivion came out, and while it was less detailed and helpful, it did still help us occasionally. I also had gotten them as a Christmas gift, and a tradition we have is to pick One gift to open on Christmas Eve. I picked the book that year, and spent hours reading it. Brother had picked a game instead of anything else he had and so he got first dibs on the Xbox Christmas Day that year
This is where I hoarding random kitchen utensils come in handy. I always have something for Indiana Jonesing my way out of these traps. I also had inigo loot the chest with meridias beacon in it, and shoot arrows at pressure plates(doesn’t ALWAYS work. Depends on the pressure plate model. Doesn’t work for spell traps sadly but a summoned creature does)
This is one of those things you wonder about but never actually bother trying because it seems so far outside of the realm of possibility that Bethesda would actually think of it. Assuming this isn’t somehow a mod or something else you missed that Isn’t a part of the vanilla game(because, as of writing this, I still haven’t personally checked to see if it is indeed possible), it’s cool to see that this is actually something you can do.
I saw a few comments already talking about this being an Indiana Jones trick; there is a dungeon in the Dawn Guard Castle with various obstacles and traps and one of them requires you to leave something on the pressure pads to keep a door open. Being frank; if I had known this too, It would have saved me some trouble running into certain trapped dungeons… although I had a very unfortunate assassin chase me into a dungeon and run head first into a spike trap. (Modded play that allowed NPCs to enter dungeons and player only areas)
The sad part about this is that anyone who’s ever played Quest for Glory, or any other adventure-driven experience would think to do exactly what the player did. I’m a Good Ol’ Boy when it comes to RPGs, and am ever saddened by how dumbed-down the experience has gotten, where people just care about stat-sticks and every bandit just mindlessly attacks hardened adventurers. Yet even in games I otherwise don’t care for, like Skyrim, they still put in elements like this to make me smile.
I did this with one of the skulls in the dragon priest dungeon outside markarth, and my companion actually said something about it while I was doing it. I believe it was uthgerd, something along the lines of: “Ah I see what you’re doing, smart”. This was years ago when I played on 360, and that was the only time I tried it and heard that line.
Took me 10 years to realize you can legendary pickpocket, enchantment and illusion skills forever too but hey we all find out things at a different time. That being said sneak and heavy armor are good skills to illude or tolerate traps. Literally just played this quest with a 66 level heavy armor with orchish armor smithed with potions can tank this… I’m actually sure the potions are optional.. Edit: granted my difficulty is only set at adept so….
My ONLY Gaming regrets Are: #1 I don’t have a Gaming PC, only PS4. #2 PS4 doesn’t have the Mod-ability that PC Has! 😭 I Used to spend more Time Modding the Damn thing to Perfection than Actually playing it! All i want, Is realistic Graphics. Realistic looking humans. Some Gravity Abiding Physics. For Outfits and “(+)(+)” Realistic Looking Gear. Aaand Extra Spells-Perks. And some…. Personal…. Mods.
I dont understand how some ppl play rpgs. Do yall just run around like mindless draugr? Not payin attention to anything around you? I learned of different exploits/glitches myself after 3 months of playing the game(back in 2014) I mean just earlier today i skipped 2 dungeons with a platter. Then put a embalming tool (in place of a steel helm) on a pedestal to avoid spikes and open the door in Ironbind borrow. I even jump on pedestals sometimes then whirewind sprint through before they close. Just this minor “cheat” took you “10 yrs”… that’s crazy bro.
Yeah and it took me about 10 years to accidentally notice that animal pelts can be used to make leather ffs 😂 its 21st of july 2023 and just 1 hour ago i replayed skyrim, and by accident i must of picked up wolf pelt while on my way whiterun, had to make leather strips and saw “leather” 😂😂 right now im wondering how many more random items out there can be used to craft something useful
After you do everything you possibly could in skyrim. Imagine discovering skyrim mods. 💀 Literally skyrim is so much bigger if you use mods. I swear there’s one that makes you able to travel to other countries or basically put oblivion inside the game skyrim. 😅 Like if you haven’t seen the mods you’ll be shook how much there is.
Why not….disable the tripwires on the way in, stand off to the side, and just snatch the shards? Or…wasn’t there like some kind of telekinesis spell that would let you grab objects from a distance? Been so long since I last played I can’t remember, but there are definitely better options than sacrificing an item (even if merely grabbing a useless “filler” item like a bowl or something to use instead)
Telekinesis is an Adept-level Alteration spell. Telekinesis allows objects to be manipulated and maneuvered without touching them. Grabbed objects may be pulled closer, thrust away, or added to the inventory. Multiple objects may be grabbed if dual-casting; however, these objects must be close together.
This was a trip down memory lane! I’ve been a Khora main since the day she came out (Was gifted her by a dear friend because he knew I’m obsessed with ranger/pet classes, never had to farm her and I kept that OG Khora until I subsumed her when I got her Prime last year) And I was around for all of these ups and downs that took place. This was very in depth, and I’d just like to share a personal story of when I was doing Chains of Harrow for the first time, and I used Khora. I still had the Mote Amp because I hadn’t bothered to do anything with Operator at that point (Still barely do tbh) and I made it to the Rell fight. I went down the hole, and Venari followed my Operator down through the hole and was fighting off the shades for me while I was fighting the story boss. It took forever, but with Venari distracting and killing the adds, I was able to push through and finish that quest. Venari may be really limited in what she can do in the majority of content, but she’ll always be my favorite Kavat because of that quest. And every other time she followed my Operator to protect her. It was honestly really touching and cute. Also, if you ever do a article like this for Wisp, I’d recommend a section dedicated to all the things that could/used to be affected by her flowers/mote things. I ran a meme build where I subsumed Vauban’s tesla ball ability for Wisp, and the balls carried the electric flowers and would go three rooms away and zap everything. It was dumb, and not really that effective, but it was really funny lol.
2 bigest things beast companions need in a rework. 1 separately moldable claws, sentieniles can have seperately modded weapons so why do i have to put abilities (that should probably not have to be mods) surivability, fetch (also certainly shouldn’t be a mod) bond mods, and damage mods all in just 10 slots it just dosent fit not to mention the forma to attempt to make it kinda fit. hell they could keep the existing mods for damage and have them stack so you can opt for a dps companion like sentinels do with fired up. 2 their AI needs an entire redo, like AI isnt known for being amazing in this game wen it comes to melee units but at least the butcher isnt standing there getting shot wondering what to do most of the time. usually if i stop to watch my companion fighting its actually standing in the middle of fire and dies.
Sorry. Hot take incoming. The article’s content was great, but I’m not sure about meme edits at the beginning. It really distracted me from enjoying the article, since your articles are, though humorous at times, on the serious side. But, I guess I am in the minority on this topic, and I can feel the heat of fire and pitchforks as I’m writing it, so I’ll just stop here.
Khora was a mixed bag for me personally, i knew her parts dropped from SO but i knew how abysmal drop chances were. My brother got her and so then i. Ive used her a bunch since getting her and Steel Path was no different with SE frm as a whole. I remember there being endless Khoras in almost every single lobby….. the ncame the nerf-pocalyse. I remember my bro getting pissed that they nerfed Whip and the SE drops and rightfully, so did i, i was cheesing with them aswell😂😂. Then they nerfed whip making it unable to go through walls. Anywho, what a time to be Khora during SE frming days
Thanks for this. I’ll add my bit, as I was someone who did Venari testing, back in the day. Basically, TLDR, as you’ve said, her stance utility is mostly useless, outside gimmick builds. However if you enable the healing stance, but don’t trigger it, Venari will use normal Kavat behaviour, allowing her to use things like Swipe/Bite/Elementals/ect. (I think Venari might have missed a pets buff, I assumed in the past her ATK was the highest, but now it’s the lowest: half the rest when unPrimed.) I don’t know how subsuming effects this.
yeah scotts vaccum statement still makes no sense. they literally saw what happend once they moved vaccum from carrier to all sentinels. carrier had a use-rate in the 90% range simple because of how great vaccum is. people finally started to use other sentinels thanks to the move. giving us universal would have just opened up more build options for players. at least they eventually added fetch to the game.
The best thing aboutKhora was that she was meant to be released as the new IPS Frame with a ‘new’ Status rework that’s literally just Slash Nerfs. People hated it so much that they had to scrap probably a huge amount of work from Khora and subsequently made her Signature weapon make zero sense with her gameplay and theme. The best case of Devs not really understanding their own games.
