Rite Aid, a leading drug store chain, has announced its expansion of its delivery partnership with Uber Eats to include alcohol in new markets. Nearly 1,000 select Rite Aid stores across California, Idaho, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Virginia, and Washington are participating in the expanded delivery, allowing more customers to shop. Rite Aid’s continued collaboration with one of the leading online ordering and delivery platforms now includes convenient alcohol delivery in eight U.S. markets. Customers of legal drinking age can get delivery from select stores in California, Idaho, and Ohio.
Rite Aid is a leading drug store chain offering superior products, including beer, wine, and spirits at great prices. The company also offers online refills, pharmacy, beauty, and more. However, all MI stores are closing in phases over the next few months, with prescription records being transferred to a nearby Walmart store. The drugstore chain filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last year, and they have closed hundreds of stores nationwide since the filing.
Rite Aid’s DM came in today and store-to-store transfers out all of their liquor, with only three stores in their district currently selling it. The Rite Aid on Robb Avenue in Lima will be closing in August, and the store on North Main Street in Findlay is also on the chopping block.
