I always say I believe consciousness is the last frontier. More so than space in the deep ocean in my opinion. All this magick is simply the beautiful power of consciousness It’s a mind blowing thing to really dive into and research. There is absolutely no limit to your consciousness except the limits you’ve placed upon yourself, or been programmed to believe.
Aleister Crowley said that “Magick is the art of changing consciousness at will.” And that’s where it begins, that’s step one, with changing consciousness, usually through chanting or drumming. The repetitive noise causes the brain to transition from a predominance of beta waves, the fastest electrical activity of the brain which is associated with conscious, critical thought. Then something called “entrainment” happens within the brain, wherein it changes the speed and amplitude of its activity to match the repetitive sound in the environment. The brain then goes into a transitional wave state, the alpha wave state, and from there into the even slower waves of theta. Theta waves are the center of hypnosis. And, yes, that is what we’re talking about with occult ritual, self-hypnosis, in other words, self-deception. And this change in consciousness is commonly called “raising power.” This stage is all important. That’s why AC emphasized it. And, during the altered state, one can begin experiencing “visions,” usually demonic influences, even if they seem positive, simply because one’s vibratory rate has changed, and it enables you to see other spiritual realms, which are vibrating at these different speeds. No drugs needed! So occultists will often also invoke beings they think are “deities” at this stage also. The second stage of occult ritual, after “raising power,” ie, entering the hypnotically receptive state, is the perform and action, an enactment, using symbolism. The symbolism is key, because you’re in the hypnotically receptive state, which is the place where the subconscious mind is featured.

Small men that appear as frail appear as an intellectual or a professional in an area of complexity. Men and women that are obese appear as gluttons and lacking self-worth. And, ugly people appear stupid. Yet, we all do this regardless of the fact we are taught otherwise and throughout our history as the “Seven Deadly Sins” imply. In that area, beautiful people can be found disgusting due to their behavior. But, Joe is correct on our inherent judgments based of the first appearance.

this guy is talking new ageism and a modern view of what we are told happened in regards to the occult. Pagan and neopagan aspects of ritual magik only started in the late 1800s(Golden Dawn and Crowley). I think of ritual as another kind of language. And language often dictates perception. IME, the more metaphysical things I learn, the more I’m just remembering what I’ve already experienced: things I didn’t have the language or frame of reference to articulate, even to myself. I think the movie The Arrival does a really good job of exploring this notion: how an expanded vocabulary can actually expand perception and by extension expand experienced reality 🤔🤷🏾♀️😂
Highly recommend giving High Magick a look over if you can. All the language he uses is pretty much belief-neutral, and Damien Echols draws upon some pretty fascinating ideas from both Abrahamic and Vedic traditions, along with some secular considerations. He taught me about Dr. Masaru Emoto, who measured how water freezing while exposed to different sounds had different patterns under a microscope; implored I consider how sonic vibrations affect the mind, which (like the rest of us) is mostly water. Which just makes sense. All superstition aside, who doesn’t actually feel a physiological effect from blasting doom metal in your ears- and how it contrasts with the chanting of a mantra. Not that either is ‘better’. I highly encourage you try both.

He’s correct that magic has its roots in the ancient pagan cults, and he’s also correct that much of it has found its way into the Catholic church. The Catholic church incorporated a lot of paganism to make the conversion more palatable to the predominantly pagan subjects of the Roman empire. Christianity was spreading so fast they had to get out ahead of it and harness it because there was no separation of church and state, and the state derived almost all of its power back then through being the sole source of spiritualism. The whole idea of the separation of church and state came from Jesus when He said to render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s, meaning pay your taxes but don’t worship him as a god. Having established that boundary where Christians could rebel against the spiritual authority of the Roman state, and the state having failed miserably to crush its spread, their only option was to coopt it, which resulted in the anything-but-Christian Roman Catholic Church, and all of its crimes that are today blamed on Christianity, despite the true followers of Christ’s teachings (and Jews being second on that list) having been the most numerous victims of the church. It’s also important to understand that Judaism was also a rebellion against the spiritual authority of the state, and against paganism in general. So Christianity is a furthering of that original cause, to free oneself from the bondage of paganism, particularly as it applies to the religion of the state.

I’ve heard that hypothesis of humans evolving into what looks like grey aliens, but in terms of evolution, women would need to favour procreation with men with large brains for a long period of time. I’ve seen diagrams of our evolution from apes to what we are now. They had smaller heads with large bodies, now our heads are slightly bigger with smaller bodies, so the next step should be even smaller bodies with larger heads. Not necessarily. I recommend looking up Tim Humble and Yasir Qadhi lectures on Magic and Jinn. Magic involves communication with jinns who are beings made of a fire that is invisible to humans. Satan is the most famous Jinn. Angels are beings made of light and never disobey God. Jinns have free will like humans. Evil jinns communicate with humans. Good jinns don’t. To communicate with jinns it’s required that the human commit sinful acts like desecrating the Qur’an, incest, drinking blood, becoming filthy, etc. Every human has a Jinn assigned to them at birth by Satan to follow us around and try to mislead us. I suggest all of us with European ancestry should drop Christianity (except for maybe some of the esoteric stuff like gnosticism) and relearn our ancient traditions. i have considered this very passage, & what i come up with is: The ‘Plurality’ is the Triune God: Father, Son & Holy Spirit. or, as Kings & Queens use: the Royal: ‘We’ . That God is not singular.
