How To Activate Spells In Baldur’S Gate?

In Baldur’s Gate 3, you can customize and change your actions bars to have more rows of buttons easily visible and change the arrangement of those buttons whenever you want. Spellcasting is a combat mechanic in BG3, allowing spellcasters to use with spells with their primary abilities. To customize your actions bars, click on “Personnalised” at the bottom right corner of your skils, open your skills window, drag the skill you want to shortcut into the Personnalised Bar, and learn everything you need to know about spells, from preparing and casting them to how Spell Levels, cantrips, and concentration work in Baldur’s Gate 3.

More powerful spells require the use of your limited spell slots, which not only take up an action but also one of the purple spell slots that can be seen above your character. Ritual spells are specific spells that can be used outside of combat without consuming a Spell Slot, but will consume Spell Slots if used in combat. To adjust your spells, go to the Character Sheet of you or any of your companions in Baldur’s Gate 3 and adjust their spells from the Spellbook section on the far right.

To create a custom action, click on “Manage Custom” at the top right of the Actions tab area, go down to Add New Actions, and select “General” from the drop-down menu.
