In the Quran, Satan is considered one of the practices preached by Allah (SWT) to fulfill human needs and desires. To dispel black magic, one must trust in Allah and practice Islam, reading the Glorious Qur’an as a cure and mercy for believers. To protect oneself from black magic, follow these steps:
- Put one’s trust in Allah. The Muslim’s best protection against black magic is practicing Islam, reading the Glorious Qur’an, observing obligatory prayers on time, reciting the three “Quls” (al-Ikhlas, al-Falaq, and al-Nas) every morning and night, ideally three times, and reciting Ayat al-Kursi every day.
99.9% of the time, it is merely awhaam (delusions, imaginations, and assumptions) that someone has performed black magic. Take stock of your life and reflect on your religious practice to determine if there is a normal reason for things happening the way they are.

Take stock of your life and reflect on your religious practice. Is there a normal reason for things happening? What is the treatment for someone affected by sihr (magic or witchcraft, including spells aimed at causing hatred or love)? How can the believer save themselves from black magic?
Have a scientific mindset that qualifies them to worship Allah, administer the earth, and purify the self. Do not heed the superstitious mindset, which attributes phenomena to their scientific causes relying on evidences and proofs. Remember that Allah alone has created everything in existence.
Recite Surah Al Ikhlas, Surah Falaq, and Surah Nas, each three times in the morning and evening. Belief and practice in magic in Islam is widespread and pervasive, both historically and currently. By maintaining a state of Wudhu, reciting the three Quls, and regularly reciting Ayatul Kursi, we establish a spiritual shield against adversities.
