The program provides free training for Pharmacy Technicians in Training, including computer training to supplement learning. The program is paid and completed online, with Rite Aid reimbursed for tuition fees.

To apply for the pharmacy tech program, applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, pass both drug and alcohol tests, and be familiar with Rite Aid’s pharmacy computer system (NexGen), HIPAA, CIA, and policies. The program includes Computer Based Training (CBTs), Workbook exercises, on-the-job training exercises, and obtaining a Pharmacy Technician University certificate.

The Pharmacy Technician in Training program begins with comprehensive eLearning modules, including training on the pharmacy computer system (NexGen), HIPAA, CIA, and Rite Aid policies. The program is a six-month program, starting with two weeks of work as a cashier to familiarize oneself with the computer.

To exercise access, correction, or deletion rights, applicants must complete the computer-based training “cbts” and wear proper attire. Payment is paid every two weeks, with the week after the first pay period of hours.

Procedures for accessing, correcting, or deleting requests are subject to obligations.
