I just killed yellow Loong, no guide, never saw his attacks before. I did clear the whole main storyline and farmed to level 100 first though, but this trick should work for everyone – first try, killed him, but you need to be comfortable doing this build. It’s just the full basic end game mythic you get for free, and you spec everything into smash stance and cloud step (skip the last talent if you are strugling with mana). Then you stack points into mana, including your celestial medicines, and you need the fire worm spirit (the one that reduces cooldowns for spells). Also, use the Loong wine, and the mythic bottle so you can drink 10 times, and put the soak that lets you unveil for lots of damage. You should have some basic dodging ability by the time you reach this boss, so the only thing is just to cheese the crap out of the fight. Cloud step – drink gourd, charge stance to 3 focus points whilst just running around invisible, then approach and lay the smash on him. Do not waste your mana on hair or immobilise. I use transformation as an escape in case I near fail to dodge, or my spell is on cooldown. Should be able to kill him in 10 smashes and a few smacks here and there.
There is a cheese for Yellow Loong that makes the fight significantly more doable whilst still being able to enjoy the dancing/dodging aspect; Change to the thrust and back away from him when he’s not attacking and he’ll start slowly walking towards you. Charge up your thrust as he’s doing so, rinse and repeat whilst jumping into transformation or cloud strike when he’s zapping around the place.
That Dragon summoning thing must be cool but the reason they did that is cos the Pillar stance is by far the weakest and worst stance so to force you and make you use it, they made that staff with that perk. Basically you have to use the worst stance to use that staff, it was all a trick so people would use that stance cos otherwise they knew nobody would use it and they’d stick with the smash stance which is the best and most damaging stance. The same with the yellow loong, they made that thrust stance cheese for the same reason so you’d use that stance instead of the smash one and if you did then the fight would be easy cos if you beat the blacksmith and then try to beat the yellow long with the smash stance, he will be even tougher as he’ll even rock solid you when you try to hit him with a heavy attack, I don’t remember him doing that before I beat the blacksmith, it’s crazy but with the thrust stance he does absolutely nothing.
Does anyone know if say I craft a new staff and now I want to go back to the first one, it looks like i have to craft it all over again is that right? Will it still require the same rare parts i used to craft it the first time? Or will it just require some will or something. Kida stupid imo. Once u craft something it should always be in your inventory afterwards. Anyways i appreciate anyone’s help!
Lame. Poor coding. No challenge. Hit the enemy a million times but get hit twice and it’s over. A choir not worthy of anyone’s time. Learn to code. Learn to make a challenge. That’s not a challenge if I had the same damage power as the enemies I’d never take damage at all. Two hits to all and I win. Oh it’s not like that just to be what a waste of time. Pretty but trash. Why do y’all let this genre exist ? Protecting the weak as usual ?
I like your articles but I have to called bullshit on here unless RNG hates me twice, I was short one material both times for making both weapons after I try-hard my way through these fights. So all I got for my effort were awesome weapons I COULD have but nope, I was short one iron sand or kun metal. So either you were just insanely blessed for the right amount of materials to drop on both bosses to craft both weapons both times, I call bullshit, sometime wrong here. Am I the only one who was short mats to craft the weapon after each fight??
Whoever it helps, going through the crack in the wall refills mana, health and gourd to full – without resetting enemies like resting. I was able to luck out and use that my advantage to eliminate every single enemy off the map without resting in chapter 2. Even a handfull of archers on the sandy slope that fire at you while dropping you in front of Sand Wind Gate. And i actually died on the last npc left alive with 1 or 2 hits left. 1.5 hours later.
Khraze I appreciate all your time but pls take extra care to give full explanation as this another of your articles covering wukong that isn’t fully explaining how to finish the quest and or giving wrong info. You won’t be able to craft the item after yellow loong and you’ve given no further info on what you need after that point ????
