Hubby & I changed to Carnivore diet almost a year ago. I’ve lost 39lbs & him 60. We feel the best we’ve felt since our 20’s we’re 57. My seasonal allergies I’ve had are gone! Aches & pains gone! Went to eye doctor she said my stigmatism got a little better. Changing your diet can save your life! Of course most doctors won’t tell you this because no money in Healthy people. They want us obese & sick so they can make billions.
9 months ……I’m 57 years old and it’s completely changed life. In the first 12 weeks I was off all my meds for High blood pressure, acid reflux, high cholesterol, high triglycerides. I’m still shocked how easy it was and also angry at all the nutritional lies we’ve been taught for all these years.
Id LOVE to see a current follow up for all these beautiful people! We changed our lives in may 2018… and still going strong.. so many things have totally resolved for us. sugar issues, blood pressure. heart palpitations, allergies. asthma, clarity, overall wellness. this has been an absolutely riveting, life changing thing! It started by seeing this show!. SICK an tired of being sick and tired.. I was done. Time to change.
I have had chronic heart disease for 12 years resulting in 7 heart attacks with 9 cardiac stents stents delaying what was an inevitable bypass or sudden death. I started cutting back on refined carbs some years ago and noticed some weight loss. Then I started taking more and more seriously as I could see and feel the difference, especially the noticeable loss of belly fat. I was just short of 15 stone back then and now I am 12 stone 10 with a defined stomach. I haven’t been that weight for over 30 years and I have never ever had a defined stomach. More importantly though I fully expect to never be regarded as insulin resistant ever again and will have reduced my chances of sudden cardiac death, stroke, cancer, early onset dementia or any other chronic non-communicable disease massively. Learning about the low carb, healthy fat, real food diet has undoubtedly saved my live from years of misery, pain and an untimely death. This documentary will undoubtedly help save so many lives, including those loved ones I show it to. Thank you ever so much!
I watched this documentary one evening in August 2019, cleaned out my kitchen till midnight, brought all my high carb foods to an organization to feed the poor. 10 months later: minus 40 pounds/ 20 kilos while in theory I can’t loose weight because of PCOS. My doctor calls me a miracle. Awnsered her: ‘No just followed strict keto, yo should look it up’ 😀
As a medical provider, I have been prescribing this method of nutrition for the past 5 years. My patients have done tremendously well and have changed their lives. I have taken them off a lot of their medications and for some, almost all of their meds for the common metabolic diseases i.e. blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes medications.
The Magic Pill For people with kids with autism, the segments where Abigail appears are as follows: 6:38 (showing Abigail age 5, nonverbal autism, epilepsy, central sleep apnea, constipation – parents discuss hardest part being that she can’t speak, but also 50 mini-seizures a day, with a major one setting her back from any progress she has made developmentally, discussion of meds and huge expense) 17:15 (discussing foods she’s been fed up to now: Spaghettios, Chicken McNuggets, Goldfish crackers, Doritos, apple juice) 26:40 (Abigail’s initial reaction to radical change of diet) 27:51 (Abigail not only reconciles herself to new foods, she starts saying, “More more more!”) 46:30 (changes in behavior in just five weeks) 1:05:00 (cost? family buys entire grass-fed cow and saves $400) 1:25:38 (Abigail is stringing beads, touching nose on command, touching someone else’s nose on command, talking, playing game of giving people things) 1:27:27 Her father’s pancake recipe: 4 eggs, 1/2 cup almond butter, a cup of squash, topped with ghee when served. “She’s waking up.”
I am TRULY so incredibly happy for all of these people!! I am so sad that this is a free documentary and not over 1m views! And it should be! Keto has changed my life as well over a year ago! God put the tools here for us to heal ourselves! Best of love to everyone who is struggling with any sickness and trying to change their lifestyle. You can definitely do it! Just think about yourself!!
This is one of the best documentaries in the world, this is amazing, every person needs to see this. I am so happy the people who are in this article lives continue to improve greatly with changing thier eating and thier lifestyle I hope they are able to live long happy lives. This is a very touching human story. People of this world need to live this way! All of us…..need be better this way!
I’m down 82 lb on keto over the last 13 months. My triglycerides are 68. My cholesterol is in the zone. All my lipid panel numbers are phenomenal. The biochemistry behind this has always made sense. More doctors need to have better backgrounds in biochemistry. So do nutritionists. Thank goodness I have a medical team that understand that keto works.
This movie changed my life. I struggled so long with my weight until I watched this and it made everything clear to me. I tried everything before this film. I was doing WW, trained for half marathons, ran like crazy, and couldn’t lose weight. This movie changed all of that and reversed my dangerously close approach to pre-diabetes.
This doc has put me on the right road finally. Once the symptoms of the ‘keto flu’ vanish, you’ll be on cloud 9. I’ve never felt healthier and i have abs for the first time in my life, even though I’ve relentlessly tried and failed beforehand. High healthy fats, carbs below 20g and a medium amount of protein and a workout and you’ll see a vast improvement.
So many people I have spoken to about this actually get so angry and defensive. A friend whose child is autistic feeds him only carbs. He eats biscuits and bread. And that is it. It is easier to medicate then to take on this challenge for some. I can see it being a struggle short term but I cannot understand the resistance. I speak from experience as I was an epileptic. I am no longer. I always say to people Tim noakes is my hero. I love the man.
After perusal this wonderful documentary I cleaned out my pantry and it has changed the way my family will eat forever!! We have both lost weight without really trying just eating better. Carbs (except for fruit and veggie carbs) are the DEVIL!!! Try it for a week and see, after a few weeks you wont even be that hungry. AMAZING!! I wish everyone in the world could watch this documentary.
17 days on keto, have lost 6lb but I don’t want to lose anymore weight so I’ve I’ve updated my macros to maintain my current weight of 9 stone. I’m 36 female 5ft3 and have never felt better ❤ I don’t want to back to eating how I was ever again! I’ve always been pretty healthy/athletic but was starting to feel bulky/bloated all the time. I eat more now and am more toned plus I cook every think I make instead of eating out of packets!
Keto changed my life… I messed up went off for a few months due to holiday eating and guess what happened.. I get extremely depressed craved alcohol strangely but not so strangely if you research and became bloated gained, 8 pounds etc etc. I am CONFIDENT AND CONVINCED this is the lifestyle for me. Looking back I’ve been severely addicted to sugar my whole life. Why? Because oddly you crave what’s bad for you until you change your taste buds. I swear after a few weeks you won’t even look twice at sugar or carbs. Don’t want it don’t need it.
Found a reference to this in a Dr. Ken Berry article from a few years ago. All of this information has been out there for a long time. Wish I’d found it before a diagnosis of type 2 diabetes. I feel great now. Normal A1C, off BP meds & zoloft. *But I can’t help feeling let down or even cheated by the medical system. I shouldn’t have existed in such poor metabolic health for such a long time. (Evidently most people have hyperinsulinemia for a decade or two before the system finally crashes and it is detected via glucose testing.)
I wish that I could post a before and after picture – saw this documentary early in my Keto journey – my transformation has been nothing short of remarkable. Lost 70 lbs in 5 months – now maintaining easily for the past four, blood sugar/HAIC now normal, chronic tendinitis in my arm cured, blood pressure normal, no more dandruff or eczema on my elbows – feel better at 58 than 28 – this is REAL. Watch this, take notes, watch articles by Dr. Ken Berry, Thomas Delauer – this is literally LIFE CHANGING PEOPLE!
Amazing. I’m happy to see people living better lives with alternative medicine. There might not be a one size fits all lifestyle that cures everyone, but there are certainly ways in which others taking their health into their own hands cure themselves. It’s interesting how when the medical field tries a one size fits all approach to treat illnesses, and most die, it isn’t considered quackery
I did a low carb diet with Atkins guidelines back in 2003. I had a cheat day once a week. I went from 350 to 206 in 2 years. I stayed low carb for pretty much until 2010. During those 7 I stayed low carb. I never one time got the common cold or viruses when I was on low carb diet. In 2010 I started straying off of a low carb diet and I gained a lot of weight if not more and I started eating whatever I wanted. I have been off of a low carb diet for 8 years now and my health has gotten worse. I’m starting today back on low carb Atkins and I’m losing this weight for good. I believe this documentary has become a eye opener for me.
If you have eaten a modern (factory-food & junk food diet) your screwed & dying. Only a radical zero carb diet with meat, high fat, salt & lots of water will mitigate or even heal you from the damage that’s been done. The diet will be a permanent lifestyle change, but if you stay on it strictly (including with the meat, plenty of fat, salt & drink much fresh water) you won’t have any cravings or hunger at all & your depression & many other mental & physical health problems WILL disappear. By the way, when you eat this way you eat as much as you like & never count a calorie! Good bye pointless doctor visits & medications!
I have been on vegetarian Keto for 10 months and I have never felt better, less aches and pains, clear headed, better skin and eating less. Also lost weight but on a plateau but I am hoo with eating organic, whole foods and nothing processed. Just feel like I am helping my health eating this way and couldn’t believe the amount of carbs I used to eat.
I’ve noticed that people in other countries their teeth are beautiful, but here we go to the dentist and still have bad teeth, and some put their teeth in a glass at might. I’ve heard when you shop don’t go in the middle of the store, stay in produce, meat and dairy, and no the bakery doesn’t count. I really need to do this I have A LOT of medical issues that might go away with proper diet.
Just tried to find this film on Netflix where I first seen it, it’s been taken down, only films saying sugar is ok on it. What the health is on it just watched it, that film saying opposite to magic pill. I’ve followed low carb/ keto no processed food for over 2 years and feel amazing weight loss and better health. ❤
10:24 this dude has got an awesome fashion sense, that shirt is lit for the beach 😂 btw I’ve been a month and keto, and oh boy I feel and look my best! (except I had a week of cheating because of friend gatherings 🙁 ) but I’m sticking to it now more than ever 🙏 wish me the best and always remind me
It is Dec of 2023. I started carnivore 12 months ago to beat ms. Tho, I still can’t walk, my ms has been in remission with no attacks or new damage. I would argue that veggies, and nuts, are very poisonous to our bodies, and that you’re going to see results just by stopping the sugar and processed foods. Veggies, and any sugars, have triggered symptoms when I have tried adding them bk in. So I’m very curious if these ppl still r having positive results while still eating veggies, fruits and nuts.
I cured myself of Ulcerative Colitis 20 years ago – without removing my colon. This was achieved by high doses of wild caught fish oil, removal of as much grain from my diet as I can, and probiotics to counteract the antibiotics I have taken earlier in my life that caused an imbalanced floar in my gut. While I am overweight from excessive consumption in an affluent society, all the metrics the medical community uses to measure health – except BMI – are in the normal range. This is a constant source of amazement at my doctor’s office, especiallyy considering that I have been seeing the same doctor for 25 years, and he told me that Ulcerative Colitis was incurable. He didn’t know any better at the time. He knows better now.
All this information has been around for years, actually there is a very nice lady (i dont have her name atm) that did many conferences and you can find her on youtube, pretty sure this doc is based on the info she praised for many years, and correct me if im wrong but i havent see any credit given to her unfortun… Right now we have almost all the tools to make this world/mankind a better one, information, permaculture, sustainability, technology, the others missing are conciousness and will. Glad to see you waking up. Always Love, the only way.
closing in on 8 months Keto, from pre-diabetic to normal hbA1c values, normal blood glucose levels, triglicyrides down from 400 to 120, fatty liver = gone, acid reflux has not bothered me as well for the duration, no constant hunger feeling and down 70 lbs on top of all of that, tell me more how bad fat and sat. fat is…
It is not a miracle. Just reality! I’ve had some experience on low carb-high fat diet decade ago, returned to “proper healthy diet” and… I was visiting hospitals regularly. 1st of August I decided to go for Keto, and… no more hospitals! No more need for a nap after dinner. Full of energy, requires less sleep. But adaptation from high carb to keto took approx 45 days, even more… And I was thinking that I would die… Keto flu is real! 😉 but it’s worth of. Great movie! Sadly, removed from Netflix…
The walnut oil they show @ 24:30 may not be much better than cheap vegetable oil. Even “cold pressed” or “expeller pressed” oils go through a high-heat (like over 200 degrees) process during extraction. There are very few truly cold-processed oils out there: One is olive oil- get organic, extra virgin, first cold pressed, unrefined. Another is raw coconut butter. Artisana makes a great one. For flax oil supplements, the best one is Udo’s. They are the only company which strictly controls heat, light, and oxygen during processing. I buy it in small bottles and use it quick. Otherwise, your best best is to just eat fresh raw nuts and fish. That way, the fat is housed in the food, undisturbed. Fresh pecans and walnuts are fabulous. If you can find a local organic grower, jump on that.
Isnt it funny the only a holes that dispute this is the climate change freaks and vegans. Keto changed my life. I have lost 100 lbs, daughter lost 85 lbs and we feel amazing! I have tried MANY different things over my life and this was the only thing I stuck with as if I ate something from previous S.A.D it would mess me up! I would bloat badly with water, joints hurt bad and felt like crap for a few days and that kept me on track. I always go back to keto, never have I went back to restricting calories, low fat diets. The low fat diets, I was ALWAYS hungry! The cravings never went away. Keto is perfect for me, Im not hungry all the time, I can walk past a donut and chocolate now with no problem.
I am now a carnivore… 50, no menopause issues, energy, my brain is working well…. I am happy! I gekt miserable when I was 42, with diabetes2, chronic sinusitis since I was 17 and many more issues, also light depressions and anxiety… All gone since 2017, when I started LCHF then Keto and since 2019, carnivore.
By the time you lot try prof. Noakes again the whole thing should be laughed out of court. At least I hope so. I’ve never heard so much rubbish. He’s old enough to remember when people ate fat normally all the time and no-one bought low fat food because fifty years ago it simply wasn’t available and everyone was thin.
I don’t very often eat meat. After this documentary I went out and bought some chicken. As I was chopping up the raw, dead flesh i felt sad and weird and depressed and heavy…. like the the ‘truthometer’ inside me was saying NOOO This is WRONG!!! I know that sugar and grains are totally wrong… but meat and fat just clog up the arteries and I HATE animal suffering. Plus it is almost impossible for most people to get the grass-fed meat the documentary recommends…. and factory meat is every bit as dangerous to health as a bad of sugar.
Interesting documentary but it could be dangerous long term? I study nutrition so understand the element of a balanced diet as the key to healthy functioning of the body. This documentary is promoting a high fat low carb diet so I wanted to tell why nutrition experts would recommend against it but I would also like to highlight the good advise taken from this documentary. High fats can clog the liver making it difficult to function. As you probably already know the liver is responsible for filtering out toxins and waste products but it also has around 500 other functions in the body. One of them is aiding the pancreas which is involved in insulin production- so a struggling liver also puts us at risk of diabetes. The liver also affects overall ‘metabolism’. This is why people say ‘wait till you hit my age, you won’t be able to keep the weight off then!’ This understanding comes from ‘age slows metabolism’ when really its a liver giving up from all the years off alcohol abuse, high fat diets and toxins. Toxins can enter the body via what we inhale via smoking, pollution, chemical perfumes, household cleaners, cheap skin care products, drugs and off course processed food. Anything unnatural to the body really. The documentary gave a lot of good advice like throwing away processed food and only eating high quality fat. Quality is key I’m afraid, as you may have noticed I mentioned drugs in the list of toxins that harm the liver. Cheep meat is likely to contain a whole bunch of drugs as theses drugs are required to make the animal bulk up faster and prevent it from disease in disease-ridden environments.
funny how many “diet” and lifestyle change articles are out there. I have had issues with Cholesterol and triglycerides for years. I cannot take Statins, they make me feel like I’m being poisoned. I went vegan and in less than 4 weeks my levels dropped over 100 points. In my case I don’t feel that meats were the problem, but sugars and dairy. I have re introduced eating seafood (only wild caught) and would add meat back in but the meat in this country is disgusting. If I could find a reliable source of red meat that I could be confident really was grass fed and drug free I would I would add it back in. i think the real healthy diet is something between an pure Keto/paleo diet and a pure Vegan diet. the only carbs I eat now are steel cut oats, quinoa and occasionally some rice. I try to get my carbs from all vegetables, no bread, pasta etc. I feel really good at 6 weeks in.
I live in Italy, I am married to an Italian and he loves pasta, in Italy babies start eating pasta at the 6th month. Is going to be very difficult to convince my husband not to eat more pasta or sugar. Also wine is difficult for Italians to stop. I love meat and I have always heard that meat is no ok cause gives you cancer. Is all a lie. I love the truth.
The question that no one talks about is what will we do with these hundreds of thousands of acres of corn, wheat, and soybean if everyone or at least a large percentage of the population started to eat ketogenic or carnivore. You would be threatening a $1 trillion industry. Did you know that many of the government workers that are in charge of our food health guidelines and regulating big Pharma, many of them go to work for big Pharma or the big food industries if you really think they have your interest in mind, I have some good oceanfront property in Nebraska that I’ll sell you at a good price!
Agriculture is not the enemy… the mis information in our nutritional education system is! The food companies have taken our product which is natural and wholesome and made it unhealthy. Cattle raised for food live nearly their whole lives as grass fed, only the last 60-100 days of their typical 14-18 month long life span do they get a feed mixture with a high percentage of grain… Agriculture has an enormous number of people to feed and open range 100% grass fed systems cannot produce the volume needed to feed everyone. No easy answers, but the message of low carb and high fat benefits must NOT be overlooked.
Carbs aren’t bad. Protein isn’t bad. Fats not bad. It just so happens that most of the time, fat and protein make you less hungry. Due to that, you eat less and feel much better and lose weight. Due to losing weight, you will have less risk for illnesses and issues. That being said, keto is my preferred choice only because it does seem to help with my depression and I’m never hungry. Nothing magic about it. I just function better with it and other people function better with carbs.
2010, keto diet and intermitent fasting are the revolution of medicine and, that is a fact. que terrible que hayan torpedeado este documental, debe ser por que no intenta venderte nada, no te dice que hagas nada peligroso, solo comer bien y natural, muchas grasas buenas, bastante proteína y muy poco carbohidrato. nada más. por cierto estoy haciendo la dieta cetogénica y los resultados, en pocas semanas han sido increíbles, y sobretodo no sabía que se podía vivir sin dolor, sin tantas alergias, descansar bien y sentirse con tanta energía, lo recomiendo, mi primera y última dieta.
When the most effective and natural medicine to prevent and even cure diseases is in the way we should eat, if carbohydrates are eliminated from our diet and the consumption of natural fats, our cells naturally restructure, which makes it unbalanced in our system is harmonized again, we hope that we can all eat organic foods, from meats to vegetables, and not consume those that have had a chemical or industrial process. Autism cases, for example, in the USA. They are associated with a poor diet of people and the consumption of drugs that are finally transmitted to the fetus. In conclusion, we must change the way we eat to maintain our physical and mental health, that is the true magic pill.
I came here thinking they were going to give specific meals we can make that are easy to cook. Apparently this is another dead end just like my doctors are a dead end. For 8 years, I have asked over and over what to eat on a list of foods I have been eating for yrs since a child. No ONE helps me figure this out. I just had a romaine salad with chicken and the blood sugar as usual spikes to 493. I’m so done with trying to get answers. And I will never get rid of the meds.
Here’s the REAL magic pill, and it’s not quite as easy to “swallow:” While excessively processed foods and excessive carbohydrate intake are certainly factors, the real etiology of chronic “lifestyle” diseases such as diabetes and heart disease is obesity, which is in turn primarily caused by consuming too much energy relative to your activity levels. Put another way, most chronic disease comes from excessive bodyweight, not carb intake per se. When diets such as veganism and keto work (and they both often DO work for many people, at least temporarily), they work because when people remove large food categories from their diet (such as carbs, animal products, and/or highly refined/processed foods just to list 3 common categories), they tend to eat less, and consequently lose weight. Bottom line: some foods are indeed better than others, but ultimately, the problem isn’t WHAT you eat, but HOW MUCH you eat. There are no “magic” or “evil” foods.
When they started laying out the selection of healthy foods for that woman, all I could think about is how that grocery bill was probably 2X as much as her typical bill. I think a lot of their dietary recommendations are rooted in pseudoscience or based more on things that not everyone can afford to worry about (sustainability vs health). By specifying organic foods, wild-caught seafood, and excluding legumes, they’ve basically created a diet that realistically is not much/any healthier than if those 3 criteria were removed, but is now significantly more expensive and not something that anyone who isn’t a well-off white person living next to a Sprouts can justify.
