Love this article and both of your guys’ websites!! Brandon explaining the Bagon Purification and Transfer strategy for an event was crazy to hear. Its insane the amount of optimization that goes into playing this game at the highest level. Keep it up Mystic, I would love to see more articles of this format in the future!
Just in case anyone would like to know why it started counting backwards it’s because the xp data was saved as a signed 32bit integer which has a maximum of 2,147,483,647 the reason why it’s exactly that is because the data is stored in 4 bytes (8bits per byte) and the first bit determines positive or negative so only 31 bits actually determine the maximum value which is written like this 2^31 but we must also subtract 1 because binary starts from 0 not 1 so the total maximum is 2^31 – 1. Reason it went negative is because the counting is inverted once the signed bit changes to negative (aka 0 to 1) technically Niantic might have changed it from a signed integer to an unsigned integer making the new maximum represented as 2^32 – 1 which is 4,294,967,295 so it’ll be interesting when Brandon passes that xp barrier it’ll make his xp go back to 0 if it’s an unsigned integer. And once that happens Niantic could just ignore that or if they wanted to represent his data properly they’d need to dedicate 4 more bytes from his profile for a 64 bit integer. Or hopefully change it for everyone in the game as Brandon would literally need a separate database for his account 😂 if they didn’t change it for everyone I’m saying^ in case your curious new maximum would be 9,223,372,036,854,775,807 (64 bit signed) 18,446,744,073,709,551,615 (64 bit unsigned) I think that’ll do for Brandon as much as he grinds lol
6:45 i feel brandon’s pain 1000x as my og gym that i used to put my pokemon up was removed due to the physical location of it being removed. it also happened to an old poke-stop that i use to spin a lot due to how near it was, but now, both that poke-stop and gym are gone at this point as the physical location of the painting/sign waa removed, making me sad that they aren’t there anymore….. just goes to show that some things will never last till the end of time… 🙁
I was just perusal Trainer Tips Nick’s interview with Brandon last night from 2018. It was interesting and good hearing about his story with Pokémon Go. He’s such a nice guy and great part of the community like yourself Mystic 7. I’ve been playing since day one as well and finally reached level 40 not long ago so the level cap increase seems impossible for me at this point haha.
Brandons right about the gym leader badge. I started in 2018 (just hit level 48), and live in a fairly rural town with maybe 40 gyms and mine is already at 76,000 hours. Must be annoying for free to play trainers in densely populated places who are just trying to get 50 coins a day and get knocked out too fast
Jesus Christ saved my life he can save yours to. No body is perfect except Jesus Christ. So he was the perfect sacrifice for the world and he became that sacrifice. So that we can be perfect in God’s eyes all we need to do is. Repent from our sinful wicked ways and surrender our life’s to him. Jesus Christ. Repent meaning acknowledge and forsake your sins. Know you have sinned and know you are not good in God’s eyes. Forsake meaning as in try your absolute best to not sin. We have to be clean and filled with the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ said we must be born again to enter The Kingdom of Heaven. God bless you all. I love you all may you all find Jesus Christ as your Lord Savior . God bless brothas and sisters ❤❤! Thank God ❤️
LOL, he launched his account (7/8/16) 6 days before I launched mine. (7/12/16) yet he has 1,000X more experience. (3.5B vs my measley 3.5M). Hahahahahaha! Oh well… at least I have my 3* shiney Dragonite and my Snorlax 100s. I’ll just have to be happy with that. Now… does anyone know any tricks to get Sinnoh stones? I need like 10 of them! And why is MewTwo candy 20km? So lame. Also, to boost your gym leader badge, find shitty gyms near police stations or desolate fields where NO ONE GOES, EVER… then station like a 90CP weedle there. Since no one ever goes there, little 90CP Weedle will hold that gym for weeks until some hardcore player sees it and takes it. Another cool trick is to station mon at gyms near schools in summer when there are NO kids there.
You need to do the No1 that has not spent any money on Pokémon Go and the No1 who broke that rule. Im new to this and im not going to spend a penny of real money on this game that includes Google vouchers im at level 25 after 5 weeks but im sure it’s going to starts to slow as the point’s will go up 10 fold each level i assume.
Nerfing global events is a stupid move, it moves the game closer to pay to win. It will kill the game slowly since most of the player base cant go to these events. I believe Niantic has forgotten that we players keep the lights on for them ans if they keep penalizing us for not being able to make it to an event, they will lose a lot of players, because no one will want to pay for unbonused events.
Let me question something do you know where you will go after you die? If not let me say you can have a choice to either go to hell or heaven see 2000 years ago there was this man named Jesus who died on the cross for our sins and rose alive 3 days later all because he truly loved us he died for us so I question you now do you truly believe in Jesus or do you live for the world turn to Jesus Christ trust in him Christ has way much more to give than the world he loves us turn to Christ!
For me I loved how difficult gen 1 and 2 were at the very beginning of the game. It really got me out and about walking long distances and even running to catch new Pokémon. Now we are just spoon fed new pokemon in the new gens. Also loved the original introduction of mystery boxes that had legendary pokemon
I remember Pikachu Comm Day I was out with some friends and I got 2 shiny male and a shiny female. I asked one of my friends if they wanted to transfer the female Pikachu because I only collected male ones. I would’ve deleted it myself but I wanted someone else to experience the joy of transferring a shiny. I also posted a article in my local FB page of me transferring about 15-18 Mewtwo (had to be done one by one).
Hello community, this comment is most likely gonna get lost (I’ve been commenting this for a while now haha I’ll just keep going) but I would like to ask a random question: I got a 10 CP magikarp, but the semicircle that shows its level is not on the bottom left and according to PokeGenie the magikarp is at level 2. How is it possible? I thought 10 CP pokemon could only be at level 1. Sorry if this is super obvious.
Pokemon Festival 2023 Mythical pokemon Diancie is a fairy type pokemon is strong to dragon type pokemon hence Mega Rayquaza debut inthe same pokemon festival. If same phenomenon happen in Pokemon Festival 2024 later Mythical pokemon Marshadow debut. Is a ghost type pokemon strong psychic type pokemon Mega Mewtwo X and Y debut but Marshadow also fighting type pokemon which is weak to psychic type pokemon, Oh No! We has spooky Pokemon Festival in 2024 ??? Additional information, Field research task, Take three photos on wild dark type pokemon . Previously, just use only one dark type pokemon in the wild and snap three times photo, task complete. But Niantic act smarter this time USE THREE DIFFERENT POKEMON WITH THREE DIFFERENT SPECIES DARK TYPE POKEMON AND SNAP EACH ONE TIME PHOTO, hence task complete.
Sorry …gotta pause the article before finishing it,,,then gotta get snazzed up for a Rocky Horror cast party potluck at a cemetary soon..But Reversal!!!!! Dude WAS the MAN!!! When we all first started in 2016 to 2018 when Us OG’s were left in the dark…His 10pm articles of what to expect the next mornong in the U.S. or what was going on was invaluable for me to convey to other game developer co-workers and pokemon players…Got 1 shoutout from him during a livestream when Ditto was released….”Dittos okay…but ya got to dodge EVERYTHING…#1 tranrtips livestream shout-out was letting him know Mystic 7 was in the hospital due to ODing on caffeine….But I digress…great seeing Reversal on YouTube again…now back to our regularly scheduled programming.
I’m not talking about the people who were in this article. Or made this article, I’m talking about. The people cheating by spoofing. The people that are spoofing and game by battling it just means you can’t play, and you wanna show off all these pokemon? You didn’t earn you, literally didn’t earn them. You cheabecause you don’t know how to play properly. Go find a game you can actually play. Another game that you suck at. Because it’s getting tiring plain against spoofers. Because they can’t play to save their lives if they need too, they can’t play at all, so they can show off all these pokemon but. They literally aren’t they worst and horrible at actually playing? They don’t know how to play properly. That’s why they have to cheat. And when you have to cheat, that means you do not know Much about pokemon and how they Battle against each Other it literally means you’re absolutely literate in the game. It’s like having dyslexia or learning disability. You just can’t get it, so you have to cheat. I Actually have dyslexia and I know how to play Pokemon. Go all pokemon games in fact. If you’re a literate to the game final game, you can actually play NB proud. Just show what you want, not what you cheated to get. Because you don’t know how to play. It means a lot more to earn it than it does to steal it by cheating
It blows my mind I have almost 2k MORE pokemon than him, and after my having 1 of each pokemon that exists, I ONLY keep duplicates of things with a maxed out stat or more, shinies, or event mons…which means EVERYTHING is good, yet his “everything” is better and even with 70 gibble he has less overall pokemon, weird.
Niantic made a mistake in giving those bonuses when the pandemic started. They already announced then that they are temporary, but they apparently forgot that there are a lot of illiterate players. However, they did not dare to remove all the bonuses in the end of pandemic and now we have obnoxiously priced remote raid passes and forced local raids in which players do not participate.
