The Mystic class, a top-tier class in PvP, has faced criticism from both Mystic mains and non-Mystic mains. Striker has better burst and 100 accuracy on clones, while Valkyrie also has vacum. The Mystic’s Magic DP has been nerfed, making it one of the worst classes in the game. Some players argue that the Mystic needs huge buffs to be relevant again.
The Awakening Mystic has been nerfed, leading to many players dropping their Mystic. However, the class is still considered top tier, with Striker hitting harder, making him preferred over Mystic for most players. Most post-nerf changes have moved her sustain from W+F to F, preventing maximum burst, sustain, and mobility at the same time.
Mystic’s PvP damage will be nerfed, and the money from selling an item by pre-order will increase. Blue or higher PEN items will have 100 damage. Mystic is buffed in PvE (damages), nerfed in PvP (damages and quality of life), and nerfed in utility. There are serious bugs like the grab one, and Mystic’s damage is overall poor at the moment.
Meagu’s damage has been nerfed, and the ability for her to use high damage skills in any protection on long animated Mystic has been removed. Awaken Mystic is in a good place, sacrificing damage for defense, sustain, and CC. If you dislike the playstyle, try another class.

I dont even use fist fury or hidden claw anymore. My SA rotation that i use until i get a catch generates shards and keeps them. Once i get a catch (if its a kd) then the first thing i throw out is rage hammer to dump the three shards for immediate damage. Next i use soulbasher into tornado kick for the downsmashes and to generate more shards. Then i use thunderpound and shorten it with the s cancel for the re-cc. You go straight into elbows edge from here for the instant dp down, then you sweeping kick for the AP up downsmash into quickcharge wave orb to roaring tiger for the dmg dump. By this point you have cc reset them and roaring tigers kd should have kept them on their ass, at which point, you go back to rage hammering them into submission and start the whole combo again. This is assuming they arent dead 3x over by now. If all of your downsmashes hit then noone will ever get up as long as you are executing the combo perfectly.
I mean it’s not like it’s not deserved, cause, after the revamp, the RBF got full of Mystakes and Strokers. But I’m sure I am mistaken and this is just a coincidence, having so many players rediscover these classes, all at once, all of a sudden, and these classes are totally balanced in today’s BDO. This totally has nothing to do with the way their DP scales and the level of skill required to play these two, or lack thereof for that matter. Thanks for the article!
