Black magic is a significant issue in Islam, as it is considered a shirk and is not allowed in the Islamic legal system. It is considered a major sin and cannot be practiced without permission. The concept of black magic is referred to in the Holy Quran and Hadeeth as Sihr (magic), which refers to all usual happenings that have been attributed to supernatural entities such as Jinn. Many people resort to using taweez (amulets) to counter the alleged effects of black magic.
The Quran and Hadith contain numerous verses relating to magic, with only three revealed in Medina. Muslims’ best protection against black magic is practicing Islam and reading the Glorious Qur’an, which was sent down as a cure and mercy for believers. Beliefs about Jinn, black magic, and the evil eye are widespread and pervasive in Islam, both historically and currently. Both the Quran and hadith make references to witchcraft and the evil eye, as well as supernatural beings known as jinn.
Various methods are used to harm or harm individuals, including voodoo dolls, owl blood, hypnotizing, and evil spirits. Black magic is used to hurt or harm anyone, even a non-religious person. In Islamic theology, non-religious individuals cannot claim to receive inspirations or revelations, and pious servants of Allah (SWT) can be guided through their understanding of black magic.
