📹 Good Omens Season 2 – Official Trailer | Prime Video
The ineffable wait intensifies. Good Omens returns July 28th, exclusively on Prime Video. » SUBSCRIBE: …
Obviously Aziraphale’s smile at “everything would be better if you were just with one person” is great but I’m also freaking out about: 1) the fact that they live together (which I figured since later they get a cottage but still) 2) how it seemed like Crowley was like “I’m back! Pay attention to me” 3) the fact that he’s comfortable enough to not wear his sunglasses around Aziraphale 😭
I really like how they’re leaning into the ineffable husbands thing with Aziraphale’s reaction to Gabriel’s line about being “totally certain that everything would be better if you were just near one particular person.” Also, Crowley’s, “Im back” was the gayest thing ever and was basically “hi honey, Im home.”
why is nobody talking about muriel? they’re honestly what I wait most about the new season and her relationship with both crowley and aziraphale just seems so sweet. they’re so silly goofy and I am willing to die for her at this point. AND HER LITTLE EYE ROLL. all her expressions are pure gold actually
The newspaper that Aziraphale reads at the beginning of the trailer writes about a jukebox playing the same music, over and over again in a pub (just like Crowley’s car with the “best of Queen’s tape”). The song is “Everyday by Buddy Holly” and it’s about the excitement of hope and anticipation while waiting for true love to arrive ! It speaks of having the courage to ask someone out and that true love will eventually come one’s way. In the end this love becomes very strong!! I just can’t wait for Aziraphale and Crowley’s romance !!! ❤️✨
Gabriel implying that the only thing he could remember was that it would all be better if he could get to Aziraphale is sending me (I’m not even going to touch Aziraphale’s immediate reaction and who it’s obviously about because I’ll explode) Also Crowley having a full on Fright Night scream when he sees him lmaooo I’VE BEEN READING GABRIEL REDEMPTION ARC FICS WHERE HE BECOMES FRIENDS WITH THESE TWO AND THEY TEACH HIM ABOUT EARTH SINCE 2019 I’M GOING TO HAVE A STROKE OMG (Also is it me or is poor Crowley finally starting to process his boatload of trauma??)
For fans of the book wondering why this is getting a new season, it’s because this is based on the ideas and notes Prattchet and Gaiman had for a second novel that never came to be due to Prattchet’s death. “In 1989, a year before the completed novel was published, Gaiman and Pratchett visited the US for the World Fantasy Convention in Seattle, and shared a hotel room to save money. Unable to sleep at night due to jet lag, and not having anything else to talk about, they started plotting out the sequel to Good Omens. ‘668—The Neighbour of the Beast’ was slated as the sequel’s title, but after Gaiman moved to the United States, Pratchett expressed doubt that a sequel would be written. Gaiman later affirmed this in one of his essays, titled ‘Terry Pratchett: An Appreciation’. Pratchett died in 2015. In 2017, Gaiman revealed – as part of the filming of the television series based on the book – that he and Pratchett had done some plotting for the sequel, including that “there would have been a lot of angels in the sequel”, one of whom was Gabriel, who was only briefly mentioned in Good Omens but was to figure more prominently in the television series. When asked if Neil had any plans on releasing a sequel to Good Omens or maintaining its status as a standalone work, Gaiman stated that there was a plot for one that Pratchett wanted to be told, but that whether or not it would be made would depend on certain factors” So while their may be some original Gaiman only material here, this is largely based on the book that never was.
Wonderful trailer. Weirdly though, one of my biggest hopes for S2 is to have a Kate Bush song in it. Now that Stranger Things has happened and gotten millions of new people into her music, and knowing that Neil himself is a fan of Kate, I’d really love to see one of her songs in the show! I’m definitely thinking ‘Wuthering Heights’ but ‘Babushka’ would really fun, or perhaps even ‘Breathing’. I don’t know honestly, this is just my little fangirl hope to see more Kate Bush in things lol.
It’s co-written by John Finnemore: certified genius of the radio waves and also a jolly nice chap. This will be simply awesome. It’s a shame he’s had to cut back on his radio show – it was easily the funniest show on Radio 4 – but it’s an easy sacrifice if it means I get to see Good Omens 2 with Finnemore listed as writer.
Only a couple of minutes long, and I already know how to scare the crap out of a Demon. This is going to be 𝕎𝕀ℂ𝕂𝔼𝔻! Not to mention, I’ve already got a favorite part; Crowley’s first reaction to seeing Gabriel……😆 looks like a lot of awkward moments coming up! And extra points for including my favorite Buddy Holly song (𝓔𝓿𝓮𝓻𝔂𝓭𝓪𝔂) in the soundtrack. Thanks guys !
Oh my god I’m on episode 5 and it’s so good. I think the writers/directors realised that the best part of season one was Crowley and Aziraphale. So this season is just packed with them. The best episode of s1 was the one where we see them through the ages, and this season, basically every episode shows that at some point.
OMG!!!! I LOVE ALL OF IT !! Crowley dressed as an angel, his reaction to Gabriel, and honestly his snark in general is just top notch Aziraphale being Soft™ and I have high hopes that being In close proximity to Gabriel will also give us plenty of Az being just enough of a bastard to be worth knowing
I never had a moments doubt. but, I wish we could have had Anna Maxwell Martin back. Shelley Conn is obviously very excited about the role and that’s great. but I just loved series 1 Beelzebub so much. so it’s going to be an adjustment, as it looks like she’s playing them very differently. BUT I’m glad we are getting more Bee, rather than no Bee, as happened with several other characters where the actor wasn;t available, like Hastur and Sandalphon
