What surfaces should you not use Magic Eraser on?
Magic Erasers, a popular household cleaner since the 1960s, are eco-friendly and economical tools that can effectively remove stubborn stains, spots, and grime from various surfaces and fixtures. However, they should not be used on polished, finished, painted, or waxed surfaces, as they can strip the protective coating, leaving noticeable discolored patches. This can lead to the loss of rental bonds for tenants. Instead, use microfibre cloths, soft sponges, and other gentle cleaning tools to clean delicate surfaces.
Electronic devices, which have painted, coated, and plastic surfaces, are susceptible to starches, swirls, and other damage. To clean electronic devices, use rubbing alcohol and terry towels, or dry clean with microfibre products. These methods ensure that dust, dirt, and smudges are safely removed from electronics.
In conclusion, magic erasers are not the best solution for cleaning all surfaces in your home, and it is essential to use gentle cleaning tools like microfibre cloths and soft sponges instead.

Clean tiled surfaces with a mop and warm water, possibly daily, and add a mild, pH-neutral detergent every two weeks. Rinse cleaning solutions with clean, warm water before drying to avoid smears.
For bathrooms and shower areas, remove excess water with a squeegee after every use to prevent soap scum build-up. Regular cleaning with a low concentration detergent and clean, warm water is essential for maintaining the longevity of porcelain tiles.
📹 Awesome DIY Cleaner! How to Clean Grout in 1 Minute
If you have dirty tile grout, do this. Grout and tiles will be like new again. In this video, I will show you how to make your own …
After spending 5 months trying everything under the sun to clean the grout lines on our bathroom floor I figured out what I was actually dealing with, it is dust and hairspray built up. I soaked rags in really hot water and then let it set on top of the grout lines for about 20 minutes. I used a very stiff bristle Libman scrub brush and a metal finger nail file to gently scratch away stubborn spots. The area around where my wife stands to do her hair was the worst of it.
I just figured out a easier quicker way to apply the mixture. Use a grout float or plastic 5 way paint tool (has a notch for you to put your hand through) then apply solution to multiple grout lines at once. Make the solution a little runny and it should collect in the grout lines. So much easier then spooning on or using a toothbrush! Have fun lol!
I have a handicapp accessible bathroom which is large. The entire shower: floor, walls and ceiling in the shower is tiled, then there’s the entire floor in the whole bathroom and half the wall in the entire bathroom is tiled. Is there a way to clean all that tile and grout cuz this tip would take forever and a day to clean, then I’d have to start over by the time I finished. I’m not saying this isn’t a good tip but the size of my bathroom – it will take more than 1 minute to clean. Any ideas?
