One of my favorite songs of my 80’s childhood. To me, it’s very spritual..my guardian angel or even God, guiding me..helping me. I hurt my back bad in the Army. Numerous back surgeries and more in 2023. 16 years counting, If I’m in pain, I put this song on for a positive thinking for my spiritual self! Each time i have pain, that i have my mom and dad, my favorite auntie, and God helping me through everything!
Wow!!! This was my all time favorite song as a little girl and had no idea at the time that source/my inner being was trying to get my attention. Was just inspired to play this song again while driving today and tears streamed down my face as I reveled in being watched over all along without even knowing the perfection of it, or why I was so drawn to this song as a child. I had a spiritual awakening several years ago, so I know that it is I that creates my reality and I was sending myself messages even then to comfort me. I wonder if Olivia knew Source was speaking through her.
My mother just passed away today. This song kept creeping into my head when I have been waking up in the days preceeding today and again tonight. I was 7 years old when it came out. Never read the lyrics before, now they mean everything for me and my journey forward. Thank you ONJ the message is clear. RIP mom
Oh how I miss ONJ. She was truly one of the GOATs and taken too soon. Xanadu was my awakening of my little 5 year old self being obsessed with her and her sister muses. The colors the dancing, the singing, the lights, the electricity, her aura, her soothing voice and her beauty. I loved her so much and I miss her in this world. RIP, queen. 🕊️ ❤
This song just popped into my head out of nowhere. I remember it when I was a kid at 12, it had a catchy melody but I was never really drawn to it until now. I recently started following Metaphysics and I know that it was my spiritual self that guided me to YouTube this song and to read the lyrics. Now I am sure that I am Magical, Powerful. God in me, I am in God.
I lost my eternal rose, my heavenly angel, my mum yesterday and this breathtaking song sung by my all time favourite Olivia is my only solace….. I love you mum, I always have and I always will because you will always live inside of me…. I am longing for the moment when I see you again and then NOBODY AND NOTHING WILL EVER TAKE YOU AWAY FROM ME AGAIN ❤️
REST IN PEACE OLIVIA NEWTON JOHN. We are born, we live, we die. That’s life(and death). If we’re lucky we can bring some kind of happiness to this unhappy world with a talent that leaves a lasting impression long after we are gone. She did that through her music. Had a wonderful life and family filled with love and music and song. What more can one ask for?
Throughout the summer of 1980, hearing this song gave me hope that whatever negative feelings I had would disappear and I would be the person I wanted to be. Back then it was just me dealing with untouchable demands I expected from myself, I was just a 22 year old kid that wanted to be an adult, but my insecurities overtook my further development. This one song was my light at the end of the tunnel. My life is not perfect, but I’m moving along, retired now, still desiring things, in time I think. Magic gave me hope.
On this day in 1980 {August 8th} the Olivia Newton-John movie “Xanadu” opened in theaters across the U.S.A. and Canada… Five songs featured in the film made Billboard’s Hot Top 100 chart; “I’m Alive” by the Electric Light Orchestra {#16}, “Magic” by Newton-John {#1 for 4 weeks}, “Suddenly” by Newton-John & Cliff Richard {#20}, “All Over The World” by E.L.O. {#13}, and “Xanadu” by Newton-John & E.L.O. {#8}…
I haven’t heard this song in years. I started a raw food lifestyle 6 days ago. This song played on repeat for days. Today, (3/29/2024) I decided to look at the lyrics. All I can say is WoW! 4/8/2024 is only a few days away before the eclipse takes place. There is a message here for me..I’m listening. ✨💫☄️♓️
Your voice was the soundtrack of my childhood. I love seeing you perform on television or saving up my money to purchase one of your albums. Your songs guided me through my elementary school days to adulthood. Your loving voice and sweet nature- a true role model for those in the public eye. Thank you for sharing your grace, your activism, your kindness and the love for all creatures. May you rejoice in heaven with the angels.
I’ve always loved this song as a little girl 7-8 but it always made me even now as an adult ( I’m 44) . Never knew the lyrics by heart just the chorus or read them as the song played. I tired not to cry but this time I cried and my heart was cracked open -( super crazy ) I needed to say something so I came here ( lmfao Jesus help me) there was my message – Change your circumstances – you have to believe you’re magic and that no one can get In your way. keep manifesting soul family! Oxoxox
I heard this song many times in the ’80s when I was a teenager, and I loved this song, but I had no idea about what she was saying, where she says “Building your dream has to start now” and “don’t let your aim ever stray” were among some of the parts where I had no idea what she was saying, but I came to the U.S. in 1980 when I was 13 and English is my second language, so it was not easy for me to understand many of the words. RIP incredibly lovely Olivia 🙏🙏🙏

Magic…..no. water is blood. Is that magic? Do you drink water? If you do, where does your blood take that water? The last thing the magician wants you to know…….is that Blood is Water. Your head can’t survive without it….and your vessels bring it to me. Well…….now it’s me. Earlier it was JC…..my father. Now it’s me….JD. and yes…..I died too. We all do. But never forget that we live for death.
I was 14 when this song was out and found things hard as i had just moved secondary schools from one that was very strict and one very not so strict where they did what they wanted. I was bullied. Music was my outlet. Fast forward to god knows how many year’s now and at 58 music still plays an important part of my life❤
I listen to Yacht Rock as I was riding in the car. First ‘ You can do magic’ by America came on, after that this song. I was like ‘wait a minute’ these song are about magic (manifestation) ✨ I took it as a sign, since I asked for one. Never liked this song…but I do now 🪄 Most people here don’t get the message, tho. Too bad.
Yes everybody, I have read all of everybody’s letters. I have heard this song from her for many many years. It was only about 2 years back that I listened to her lyrics. Not only will she be guiding us, but so will all the right people that surround us all. I’m still hurting too. Peace and Love to everyone. Jim
This was the first that played on my Itunes and before it played I asked for the Universe to send me a message, and it did! Thank you universe for helping make all my dreams reality after ten years of struggling through a personal Hell. Now I own my own business, I love what I do for a living and I’m achieving success beyond my wildest expectation, all because I followed my heart and took a chance to win, thank you!
I get goosebumps when I hear this song. It’s like my SOUL is trying to tell me this exact same message. We have to get out our own way!! Me: Universe, I want to be successful….a big time so and so. The Universe: Ok…your wish is my command. But before I grant your wish, I have to show you some things. Who’s loyal to you of all the people around you. It might be hard to accept but it’s for the good and it may take years. Everything we are going thru is to prepare you for what you asked for.
Beautiful words, beautiful tune and sung so beautifully by the gorgeous Olivia N J. I dedicate this song to a very special friend of mine who has gone through hell and back these past 2 years! I’m here for you buddy, ALWAYS! “I’ll come anytime you call, I’ll catch you when you fall, I’ll be guiding you!”
Well, I’m having a kind of surreal experience reading these comments here. I had been perusal weird articles on YouTube that ended up being a lot more negative than I thought. And it put me in a weird mental space where I was just asking why? Why is the world this way? And then that song started playing in my head. Out of nowhere. So I came to YouTube and listen to it for the first time in ages and like so many others here in the comments section said, it’s like hearing it the first time. Reading the lyrics I felt it was a message that I needed right then and there and I got goosebumps. Amazing.
It’s about our guardian or inner angel. Remember that all good thoughts come from God and all bad thoughts are from satan. Which will you feed? Either the food of positive constructive thoughts and emotions or negative destructive ones. Your inner demon specializes in you and knows how to push your buttons in your erroneous or temper tantrum zones. MAGIC an acronym for Miracles According to GOD’S Infinite Creativity.
I Thought she ws saying BELIEVE your dream has to start now, I used to think she was saying DON’T let your ENEMIES stray, I used to think she was saying LIVE for your hopes, survive, Destiny will ARISE, I used to think she was saying Live for your dreams, survive. I used to think she was saying The PLANET’S ALIVE, so rare. I used to think she was saying Tthe PROMISE is in the END, I used to think she was saying I’ll bring all your dreams ALIVE for you. GREAT song, though…

Come take my hand You should know me I’ve always been in your mind You know I will be kind I’ll be guiding you Building your dream has to start now There’s no other road to take You won’t make a mistake I’ll be guiding you You have to believe we are magic Nothin’ can stand in our way You have to believe we are magic Don’t let your aim ever stray And if all your hopes survive Destiny will arrive I’ll bring all your dreams alive For you I’ll bring all your dreams alive For you From where I stand, you are home free The planets align so rare There’s promise in the air And I’m guiding you Through every turn I’ll be near you I’ll come anytime you call I’ll catch you when you fall I’ll be guiding you You have to believe we are magic Nothin’ can stand in our way You have to believe we are magic Don’t let your aim ever stray And if all your hopes survive Destiny will arrive I’ll bring all your dreams alive For you I’ll bring all your dreams alive For you You have to believe we are magic Nothin’ can stand in our way You have to believe we are magic Don’t let your aim ever stray And if all your hopes survive Destiny will arrive I’ll bring all your dreams alive For you I’ll bring all your dreams alive For you
YOUR DESTINY WILL ARRIVE…hmmmm… at 55, i haven’t realized my destiny yet, but my dreams(nightmares, actually)are telling me i will, but i won’t live through it, although my actions will save the lives of others. i’ve had the same dream at least twice a month for 31 years. if it is my destiny, i am bound to it and i cannot escape that fact. good song, though, and good lyrics.
Universe = Magic! Universe = outer space, heliocentric cosmology, NASA science Magic = sorcery, mysticism, witchcraft This notion has been around for so long and I never caught it till now. So the universe as we’ve been taught in school is not really real? It’s a figment of our imagination! …used to love this song though…
Bring all your dreams alive for you and more. You should listen to what I said about the Lord sending you to me that night, you remember and you remember what you done I somehow knew it was you, I knew everything that was going on but I didn’t I would come down but you won’t answer why can’t you answer I know it’s you Rachael stop fkn around you know you are the only one who can do that, read my mind and put music in, wake me up anytime yes you will you love me
