This yoga class aims to help individuals feel grounded and mentally calm, while increasing the flow of energy from the root chakra (muladhara) through the spine and up to the head. It also strengthens the pelvic floor, core, and back muscles. The Child’s Pose (Balasana) is a gentle pose that calms the nervous system and relaxes. Fiji guides the class through a series of poses to balance the root chakra and cultivate grounding with gratitude.
The mental and physical signs of blocked energy in the root chakra, the first chakra, can be discovered and aligned with. This 15-minute yoga practice helps ground and balance the first chakra. The class also includes a free 7-Day Chakra Yoga Challenge.
Good root yoga poses include sitting in half lotus or child’s pose. It is important to note that western yoga may focus on raising energy and not focusing on the root chakra. This yoga practice can help cultivate a better relationship with the root chakra and allow individuals to feel more grounded.
In summary, this yoga class aims to help individuals feel more grounded, mentally calm, and increase the flow of energy from the root chakra.

Gm. It’s 5am here in Atl and I couldn’t sleep. Thank you for this vid. I’m going to make this my new morning & afternoon yoga routine. I’ve tried others but this one didn’t have my muscles sore & screaming after the 1st attempt. I think I’ll be okay once I get my breathing together which should come with practice right? I don’t want to accept that I might actually have to wear oxygen full time due to living with #sicklecell or the fact that this disease is kicking my ass with no mercy altogether but I have hope that yoga can help me in many ways with this. Peace & blessings to you. #ATLSICKLECELLFAMWHEREYALLAT
I added your practice to my ever-growing playlist on here agessss ago but this is the first time that I’ve actually gotten around to actually doing it. I feel a little bit embarrassed at myself because I initially thought that this practice wouldn’t be as effective, I guess essentially I had made a pre-judgement, but boy was I wrong. Not only do I feel lighter mentally but your affirmations at the end literally brought me to tears. I’ve been trying to find more grounding yoga practices on here as it really helps my mental health so I will definitely be checking out your playlist and want to thank you so much for this ❤️
I usually never do this but i had to! Thank you so so so much for reminding me how much I adore yoga/meditation. Its been a hard few years and I’ve strayed very very far away. I just so happen to search Root chakra meditation to try and get back in the flow of things and found this article! When I say it truly felt like a HUG I mean that! Didn’t feel forced or like a job which is how most spiritual things have been feeling for me lately. This reminded me how good this can make me feel when I just chill out and let it all flow! Thank you thank you thank you!
