La Marque High School, located in La Marque, Texas, is a public school serving grades 9-12 in the Texas City Independent School District. As of July 1, 2016, the school has no standardized dress policy and now follows the TCISD school dress policy. During the late 2000s, the school had a dress code that was changed to blue, gold, and white. The school’s mascot is the Cougars.
La Marque High School serves 647 students in grades 8-12 with a student-teacher ratio of 13 to 1. The school offers various sports, including baseball, basketball, football, soccer, softball, tennis, volleyball, and wrestling. The campus athletic coordinator, Wade Oliphant, is responsible for overseeing the sports program.
La Marque High School is known for its student groups and fall sports, and it is called upon the Cougar Community to come out to celebrate their student groups and fall sports. All sittings must be scheduled, and the school offers a variety of activities such as athletics clubs, fine arts, senior information, families, meal payments, nurses, Skyward Family Access, and early college high.
The La Marque High School Cougarettes Drill Team is dedicated to the school’s success, and the school’s Meet the Cougars event was a rousing success, thanks to the efforts of head football coach/athletic director Wade Oliphant.
