What Are All Of The Lego Harry Potter Spells?

In LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7, players learn spells and abilities through lessons or purchased from Wiseacre’s Wizarding Supplies. These spells can be used at any time and can be found in various showcases. The game is based on the first four books and films of the Harry Potter series, with Harry and his friends learning how to use spells and prepare potions during their time at Hogwarts. Attending lessons allows players to learn more spells and abilities, allowing them to access new areas or defeat new creatures. Each spell has a place and color.

The LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 guide lists important characters and collectibles, including Hagrid, who possesses magic. Hagrid’s Wingardium Leviosa spell is needed to lift floor tiles near the back right. Existing spells include Redactum Skullus, Colovaria, Calvorio, and Antioculatia.

Some spells and magic abilities include Immobilus (slowing down or freezing an object), Expelliarmus (disarming), Flipendo (flipping the target upside-down), Glacius (freezing the target), Herbifors (giving flowers for hair), Incarcerous (tying the target up), and Transfiguration (turning the target into a frog).

In Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7, players can learn custom characters’ spells after learning all spells as part of the storyline.

What are the 7 types of spells?

Casting spells is a crucial skill for all witches and wizards, as it allows them to perform various magic tasks. In the Harry Potter universe, there are seven types of spells: charms, curses, transfigurations, healing spells, jinxes, hexes, and counter-spells. Each type has its own properties and purposes, all able to be cast with a single wand.

A charm, or enchantment, gives an object or organism new properties, such as levitate or affect appearance or emotions. When cast with the intent of lasting within a person or object, the receiver becomes bewitched. Dark charms, or curses, can cause immense pain or even death. Despite their potential, charms can be harmless and even helpful for wizards, making them essential for mastery of magic.

Harry Potter, a powerful wizard, has used various spells and unforgivable curses during his time at Hogwarts. These spells include Crucio, Expelliarmus, Sectumsempra, Expecto Patronus, and Imperio. Harry’s true potential in the wizarding world is evident by his third year at Hogwarts, where he performs magic with great talent that goes beyond his years and lack of education.

Throughout the Harry Potter series, Harry is presented as one of the most powerful wizards in the Wizarding World, whose skill grows through dedication, teachings, and perseverance. He masters complex spells and even indulges in darker forms of magic and unforgivable curses in dire situations. Harry Potter’s dedication, teachings, and perseverance help him grow in the wizarding world and become one of the prime defenders from the Dark Arts and Voldemort.

What are the 5 unforgivable spells?

The Unforgivable Curses, also known as Avada Kedavra, Cruciatus, and Imperius, are powerful and sinister spells in the wizarding world. First classified as “Unforgivable” in 1717, they were tools of the Dark Arts and were subject to strict penalties. By the 1990s, using any of these curses on a fellow human being would result in a life sentence in Azkaban without parole, unless there was sufficient evidence that the caster did so under the influence of the Imperius Curse.

Many Dark wizards attempted to use this excuse to prevent incarceration, particularly after the First Wizarding War. Exceptions exist, such as Solomon Sallow, who used one on a Dark wizard without legal repercussions, and Aurors were permitted to use them during the First Wizarding War and during the height of the Second Wizarding War under Lord Voldemort’s regime. However, this would have been repealed following Voldemort’s demise.

Expelliarmus, or the Disarming Charm, is a spell that drives out a weapon, often a wand, and is often seen in duels. Harry, a skilled combatant, was deeply enamored with the spell and used it to defeat Lord Voldemort. Professor Snape, a former follower of Voldemort, taught Harry the spell during Professor Lockhart’s Duelling Club. Despite initially struggling with the Summoning Charm, Harry quickly developed an aptitude for Expelliarmus, which allowed him to use it in challenging situations.

Within months of learning it, Harry used it to retrieve Riddle’s diary from Malfoy and disarm Lockhart. He spent the final hours of the second year practicing Expelliarmus, becoming very good in the process. This relationship between Harry and Expelliarmus has both positive and negative aspects.

What spells unlock in Harry Potter?

The Unlocking Charm (Alohomora), also known as the Unlocking Spell or the Thief’s Friend, was a charm that could unlock objects like doors or windows. It could also open doors locked by the Locking Spell (Colloportus), acting as its counter-charm. The Anti-Alohomora Charm could be used to prevent this charm from working on a locked target. Originating in Africa, it was first mastered by an Ancient African sorcerer who taught it to thief Eldon Elsrickle during his 17th-century trip.

Elsrickle used the charm to terrorize London, stealing from homes of muggles and wizards. Blagdon Blay invented the Anti-Alohomora Charm to prevent it from working on a locked target. Before Alohomora, the most popular unlocking spell was Portaberto, which splintered the lock from a door but occasionally left a smoking hole. Before Alohomora, the most popular opening spell was Open Sesame, which ripped doors from their hinges and tore them into firewood.

  • Wow great article, I have just started playing Lego harry potter with my nephews, they would love it if you could do a article explaining what some of the things are during game play, the objects with sparkly red light and what the red things do in the owl shop, I’ve only just started helping him he’s only 6 years old but loves to play

  • All spells: Accio Avada Kedavra Lumos Lumos Solem Riddikulus Expecto Patronum Reducto Wingardium Leviosa Multicorfors Anteocula Flipendo Stupefy Slugulus Eructo Engorgio Incarcerous Expelliarmus Rictusempra Engorgio Skullus Tarentallegra Herbifors Crucio Alohomora Immobulus Entomorphis Glacius Redactum Skullus Locomotor Mortis

  • Pretty strange that Lord Voldemort has Expecto Patronum spell. He can’t create Patronus, because he never feel love or any happy feelings. He doesn’t need it (in Years 5-7 there is no Patronus Charm on Voldemort character, but Tom Riddle has…) I heard that Death Eaters also can’t create Patronus. That so strange! Good article, though!

  • Kid you have a very good talent for this. If you have a passion for this never let that go, treat that passion with respect. And don’t let anyone tell you who you are or what’s good for your life. Keep the good work and have a nice day! Also if you want a little tip from me, try cutting some parts where you stop to think what to say. But just if you like how that looks in the end, make your stuff however you like it. See you around!
