What does a cat represent in astrology?

The Vietnamese calendar has changed its name to “Year of the Cat” due to cultural differences. The Year of the Rabbit is considered mild and peaceful, while the cat symbolizes strength, power, and aggression. This change is attributed to the Vietnamese’s close relationship with the mouse and rabbit, and the celebration of the Year of the Buffalo, unlike the Chinese zodiac’s Year of the Ox. People born within these date ranges are considered to have been born under the “Year of the Cat”.

Which planet rules cats?

Leo, the zodiac’s top feline, is ruled by the sun and Saturn, while Leos are ruled by the sun and are humble. Cats, on the other hand, are ruled by Saturn, the furthest planet from Earth. Leos love their cat friends’ photogenic nature and often share pictures of their pet over selfies.

Pisces, the chillest sign of the zodiac, is known for their low-maintenance pets, but their affinity for cats goes beyond laziness. Pisces, like cats, take pride in their personal upkeep and spend extra time and money on self-care. Pisces cat owners are known for feeding their kittens luxurious wet foods, spending hours daily brushing their fur, and having multiple Pinterest boards filled with designer cat condos and towers. The Egyptians worshiped their cats, and Pisces should also be devoted to their feline friends.

What do cats mean spiritually?

Cats are spirit animals that teach us to embrace our sensitivity, trust instincts, and intuitive perceptions. They encourage us to expose ourselves to the world, even if it means experiencing intense emotions or uncomfortable energies. This ability to feel deeply allows us to live fully and love without reserve. If you have a cat as your spirit animal, you can choose jewelry from a boutique to feel its presence, receive its spiritual energy, and maintain self-confidence. Cats are often part of our daily lives and inspire many.

Why is the cat not included in the zodiac?

Cat and Rat were close friends, but Cat overslept during registration, resulting in the absence of a cat in the lunar calendar. Rat, who had secured his spot in the race, planned to cross a river to reach the finish. He offered to sing a song of encouragement to Ox, but the beast couldn’t hear him. Rat persuaded Ox to let him climb on his back, singing in his ear. The song encouraged Ox to pick up the pace, and Rat crossed the river without getting his feet wet. Biding his time until Ox was near the finish line, Rat jumped down to win the race, earning his place as the first lunar animal.

Are cats lucky or unlucky?

Cats have a rich history of being associated with various aspects of life, including good luck, fortune, wealth, and beckoning cats. Europeans considered cats essential for a good harvest, and they were treated with great respect. A sitting cat with her back to the fire was believed to be a sign of frost on its way. Sailors considered it very lucky to have a cat on board, especially a black cat, as it was thought to veer evil spirits away from a new baby.

In old China, people could tell the time when they looked into a cat’s eyes, with ancient Romans believing that changing eye color in a cat had a connection with the changing phases of the moon. In Britain, black cats are still considered lucky, and if one walks in front of a bride and groom, it is seen as a happy omen for the marriage. In China, the image of a cat was believed to mean fortune and long life, with Mao, the Chinese name for cat, meaning ’80 years’.

Black cats also brought good fortune, and if a person found a black cat with a single white hair could pull the hair out without being scratched, they would come into a lot of money and find true love. Japanese sailors take a tri-colored cat (tortoiseshell) known as the ‘Me-kay’ on their ships for good luck and safe travel.

  • I regarded myself as a dog person, until my son brought a kitty home! Now there are 3 of them! I suffer from depression, anxiety and struggle with bipolar disorder. These wonderful creatures brought peace and tranquility into my life! I can’t imagine my life without them! They are truly spiritual beings! Thank you Lord!

  • I have been ‘connected to cats’ since a very young age & them to me. Already by age 4 my mom used to say, “If you want to find John, look for the cat”. I have sensed their heightened state of being for as long as I can remember & every cat that has come to live with me has been a joy to me. Some I have adopted & others have adopted me. It is an everlasting circle of love & understanding. Although I have welcomed cats of many different hues, tabbies seem to have been my favourites ❤

  • Not surprised that this article popped up just now, as I have been questioning an experience I had last night. I am a cat lover, with no cat due to moving abroad and traveling. (I do have two dogs) Two months ago we rented a house and there are a few cats around. One of them, a small black and white female has been on three of our window sills more than once. We are on the second story so this isn’t easy for her. I have offered her food but she snubs it. Last night when I looked out my front window I noticed her on the terrace, I opened the door and she walked right up to me, I picked her up then put her down. I then warmed some milk for her, took it to her and she followed me down the steps to drink it. I left her drinking the milk. A few hours later my husband was getting ready for bed and asked me if I knew why a cat was on our bed. I thought he was kidding. I went to the bedroom to find her between two pillows on MY side of the bed. I picked her up and burst into tears. My bedroom door was closed, all windows were closed. I don’t know how this little cat got into my house, my bed, and without two dogs noticing as well. I’m on my second year of a rough mental patch and I truly feel this cat sensed I needed some of her attention.

  • During covid, a stray cat gave birth to 3 kittens 😊and now I have an orange cat and the others are mixed with white. Even though I couldn’t feed them during Covid, I still managed to build a shelter. Until our work went smoothly even if it was simple and blessed happy. My furr cats are also emotional relievers, which helps me a lot ❤️.

  • I always believed that cats have had a Spiritual connection with God and Angels too. They do look like they are staring off into space when I just learned they are either seeing a Spirit or just meditating. They are definitely a wonderful comfort too if a person is sad or even not feeling good. I’ve experienced it with my Diluted Calico when I had her and I truly do miss her very much. We had to put her down about three or four years ago cause she lived to be almost 22 yrs old and had kidney disease and she got really bad after New Years and I didn’t want to let her got but I did let her go and miss her so much and then I got a kitten Tortie and she was precious put to when she had to get fixed and came back to me sick or hurt and ended up having to be put down too. I think it was in 2019 and I truly miss them both. God bless to all cats and those who have cats and please hug and love them. Sue M. Clearwater, Florida 🙏😺😺❤️😘🥰😊❌⭕️❌⭕️

  • I sing to my cats in the early mornings. I have 3, orange tabby baby boy and twin tuxedo girls ( Sunny, Miah & Lilly) I call Sunny my sunshine, also my time traveling chameleon cat. He’s magical for sure! If I’m crying he comes running out of wherever and jumps on my me, crawls up to my neck, then just lays there still & purring. ❤ My girls are my balance, one of them ( Miah) is like the guard of the whole house!

  • I grew up in a home with a all white cat. Wonderful companion. We had white and black cat for just shy of 18 years. Wonderful cat. Very smart and loving companion. Presently we have 2 black cats. One male and one female. We have a very strong connection with ur 2 black cats. One was born in a litter of 5 kittens. He is very curious about everything in his environment and loves to climb to high places. He definitely is protective over his home and humans. My female black cat we rescued from outside when she was around 7 weeks old and was quite thin when we rescued her and needed abdominal surgery to correct a blockage in her intestines and had to be nursed back to health. Right now u would never know she was that sick. She loves to play fetch with bottle caps, loves chasing lazer light, loves cuddles and pets. Best cats ever. Very in tune and smart

  • My calico cat Ada, died in 22′, and I prayed to her for another cat. She eventually brought me to a grey tiger kitten. I named him Prince. Prince is an indoor/outdoor cat. So he made some friends and I had to save a few of the neighborhood kittens. Now I basically have my own colony that I take care of. I have my Prince and 3 kitties, Cotton, Little Mister PJ, and the newest edition, baby girl Kola aka Fluff they come in and out of the house but the others stay outdoors. There’s about 10 in all. I Absolutely Love Cats So Freaking Much!!!! When I call them in my back yard, they All come running to me. When I sit in the yard, Its like being in Kitty Heaven. I absolutely love it 💞❤ Also Prince is a great daddy to the rescue kittens. ❤

  • Very true about cats meditating constantly. In fact, my beloved cat “Baby” would actually sit on my lap when I first started trying to meditate more deeply. On those days where I was restless and had trouble sitting for lengths, she would come find me and sit on my lap, comforting me with her presence. This was right about when I would have cut my session short, due to feeling restless or perturbed. But I would look down to see her so happy & relaxed, that I would think I dare not disturb her, so I would sit longer and go deeper much easier with her helping me.. And in time I knew this was her way of encouraging me to keep going and get better with my practice. And we would have so many great meditative experiences together, thanks to her assistance and the natural healing energy she showered me with. And the love we shared. So she was my little spiritual training buddy. Whom I always viewed as one of my masters and guides. She helped me immensely in so many ways in my life. I am forever indebted to her and I miss her dearly already, depsite her passing only 6 days ago. Thank you Baby- my dear divine feline soulmate. I will always love and cherish you and do my best to honor you forever and ever ❤. Godspeed on your journey back home dear friend

  • I have three furbabies. One grey tortie, who has brought me so much peace. One calico who has taught me to be more patient, And one chimera, who has a split face. Her left side is black and the right is ginger tabby, with a tortie body. She’s only 5months, but she has brought more joy into the house.

  • my daughter just past away. we were trying to give her cat a new home but the family that we were giving her to fell through. my husband and i took it as a sign to keep my daughter’s cat with us. since my daughter passing her cat has been most active at night. i’m guessing she’s playing with my daughter spirit 😢

  • There was an entity here in my apartment, I spotted it Come into my bedroom while my cat was in the living room. I had a dream that the entity packed up its belongings in small Tupperware bowels with lids that latch and left my house! The entity was in the form of my ex, that died a couple years ago. She was a disturbed bitter soul. As this entity was walking out, my stepfather, who also died a couple years ago, was walking in, and walking out the other direction with my mother, who is still alive. I feel so much spiritual peace since I got this cat. He walked up to me on the parking lot of my apartment complex, a very small, frightened kitten. I took him in, and I can feel the difference.

  • I love cats and have had more than 50 cats throughout my life time, all different colors and all with different personalities, many of them reaching the ripe old age of 20 years old before passing away. I was always around cats. When I was a baby, my mother had a white cat which always slept with me, protecting me, and she told me this story herself. As I grew older, cats either followed me, come to the house or I would adopt cats, I always seemed to have more than one cat at times too, all with various colorations, including all those mentioned here. All were unique and intelligent. I even had a Russian Blue, a bluish grey with no other color. Right now I have 3 cats, one Siamese age 15, an orange tabby age 13, and a black one with only a white patch marking on her chest age is presently unknown, but younger than the other two….all three are good mousers. Also another factor, cats can sense if you are a good person or not, and will stay away if they sense you can’t be trusted. 👍❤️🙏🏼

  • I miss feline energy in my home after so many decades of a cat or two in my home. Allergies got too bad. My last two were such dear knuckleheads that the memories of their 15 years of womb-mates to room-mates antics will keep me smiling and missing them forever. He got sick and we had to let him go to the angels. Molly missed Murphy so much she followed 11 days later. I could feel the loss of their happy and loving energy in my house. I have a dog and I adore him. He couldn’t be a better friend in every way. But he isn’t a cat. Most people have no idea just how intelligent cats are. Or how funny. Secure and respected kitties let their funny come out to play. I swear Murphy knew the 2nd TIA was about to hit me.

  • I truly enjoyed this article. There has always been a cat in our house since I was five. Our first cat named Flor-Flor (Spanish for Flower), she was a dominant white cat w/ black patches. She was a very playful cat & always by my bed at night. She went to fur heaven in my early 20’s. Then as an adult and married, our daughter brought home a stray black cat named Main Street. She did this side hop when she was startled and it looked like she was marching lol. When I was older & my mom became bed ridden, there were about 4 stray cats that would gravitate to my moms house. As my mom became more weak, more cats started showing up (2 tabbies, 3 black cats, 3 mixed color cats, and one white w/ a black mark on its face that looked like a mustache) Now I understand why they were all there – to help ease my pain. Now all those cats wandered off one by one and even though we ended up selling my moms house, I still drive around her neighborhood calling out the names I had given them during their stay with us.heart❤

  • WOW! AM I BLESSED?? 2 PURE WHITE KITTENS WITH BLUE EYES JUST APPEARED UNDER MY HOUSE AND AROUND,, SO I FED AND CARE FOR THEM WITH MY 28 CATS . ONE I NAME HER …PRINCESS CAUSE SHE IS SOOO BEAUTIFUL, AND ANOTHER KITTEN ALSO PURE WHITE WITH BLUE EYES I NAMED HER …CATHERINE…THE FIRST FLOOR OF MY HOUSE ( CONCRETE HOUSE ) is allotted FOR MY NOW 31 CATS. I HIRED A CARETAKER..CLEANING THEIR PLACE, FEED THEM.THEY HAVE 3 CLEOPATRA BENCHES WITH MATTRESSES PLUS CHAIRS PLUS CARDBOARD BOXES WHERE THEY WANT TO SLEEP AND HIDE ESP AT NIGHT. I HAVE A …CCTB ..TOO TO SEE THEM UNDER MY HOUSE AND ON THE BIG YARD WHERE THEY WALK AND STROWL .

  • I have two British short hair cats. My first, Uzume, had a (planned) litter. Usually cats give birth in intervals of about 15 minutes, this gives them time to clean and clear the placenta of each kitten, get the breathing going and so on. However, this was her first litter ever, and the 2nd kitten was born almost immediately after the first. So with the second, I cleaned the placenta gently, massaged his chest to get the breathing going and so on. I already always was a ‘cat person’, but the way with which I bonded with this kitten is beyond anything I could have ever expected. Initially I planned to find all these kittens a home, but I decided to keep this ginger fellow and named him ‘Bowie’, after one of my favorite musicians…David Bowie. He is indeed my little Starman. Each night I can hear him dragging his favorite toy (a sort of fishing pole with a fluffy lure attached to it) to my bed, and then, with that toy, curl up next to me. He is amazingly sensitive to my moods and when I am down or even depressed he spares no effort to be close, to get me out of my own head and pet and enjoy his softness (and soft personality) instead. I truly consider myself blessed with Bowie and of course will love his mother too, forever and always, for bringing that gift into the world.

  • Our black and white cat brings so much joy and love to our family. He was with us when our babies were born and he takes his role of protector very seriously. When a child is hurt, you can expect him to come and check the situation out, before rubbing his head on the crying child to say, “It will be alright.”

  • Wow, who knew? I have 18 cats now and they are SO loving!! I have every color except all white. I’ve had a total of 51 now in my life. I use to have dogs and said I would NEVER own a cat in my life. Go figure. I’m an animal lover, so taking on my first cat was special. My first cat, lived to be 20 and literally died in my arms taking his final last 3 breaths. This was an interesting article for sure. I usually have 7 cats on the couch each night where I sleep. Always two or three right next to my chest. They’re all pretty much small cats, but I do have 3 big ones out of my gang. Yes, they do sleep a lot and some do play, so it’s always something going on around here daily.

  • I lost my beautiful Chance two days ago,he was hit by a car a few steps away from home. The lady was speeding, fortunately in the car behind her was a vet who picked him up and took him to the vets . Hardest thing I’ve ever had to do but at least i was there when they put him to sleep. He was so loved ❤

  • TS Eliot on what cats meditate about: The Naming of Cats is a difficult matter, It isn’t just one of your holiday games; You may think at first I’m as mad as a hatter When I tell you, a cat must have THREE DIFFERENT NAMES. First of all, there’s the name that the family use daily, Such as Peter, Augustus, Alonzo or James, Such as Victor or Jonathan, George or Bill Bailey— All of them sensible everyday names. There are fancier names if you think they sound sweeter, Some for the gentlemen, some for the dames: Such as Plato, Admetus, Electra, Demeter— But all of them sensible everyday names. But I tell you, a cat needs a name that’s particular, A name that’s peculiar, and more dignified, Else how can he keep up his tail perpendicular, Or spread out his whiskers, or cherish his pride? Of names of this kind, I can give you a quorum, Such as Munkustrap, Quaxo, or Coricopat, Such as Bombalurina, or else Jellylorum- Names that never belong to more than one cat. But above and beyond there’s still one name left over, And that is the name that you never will guess; The name that no human research can discover— But THE CAT HIMSELF KNOWS, and will never confess. When you notice a cat in profound meditation, The reason, I tell you, is always the same: His mind is engaged in a rapt contemplation Of the thought, of the thought, of the thought of his name: His ineffable effable Effanineffable Deep and inscrutable singular Name.

  • Enlightened Cat, I loved this article I have 6 cats 34 black cats 2 all different colors cats I sure love them I love how I feel as I pet them, they are so enjoyable in my life. She is sitting with me now on my desk as I paint my latest picture. She is, affectionate and gentle and sleeps with us. I have more time to explore my creative talents and I met a wonderful man. We’re married, retired and enjoying a blessed semi rural life. Love prosperity peace to you and all here. One Light in All Life. Blessings. 💛🙏💕

  • I have been wanting a cat companion most of my life and never wanted to seek one out rather let it happen. In December a tiny kitten jumped out in front of my parked car and I got out and picked her up and it’s like she’s my soulmate kitty. I gave her a name from the first day and she completely ignored it, wanted nothing to do with the name until yesterday I decided to change her name to Yoka and her reaction when I started calling her was pure excitement.. she started purring like roaring and meowing so loud and giving me this look of absolute love, it was like it was her name and she knew it! I call her and she comes running down the hallway and sits right in front of me like, yes master! She acts completely different to me now and is doing things she never did before. Cats are seriously angels and come here with a purpose. I love her so much and she has brought so much joy!

  • Please pray for my 19 year old Female Calico who will be 20 next year April. I love her with all my heart. She is all I have & I’m alone. When or If something happens to her I may possibly have a massive stroke because I have heart problems & she knows when my chest is hurting and comes to lay on my chest and purrs Please Im begging each and every one of you to Pray for Snooky 🙏

  • My cat is bicolor. He is white with little bit traces of black hair.. A few on his skull, a a feww on his tail. So that means he represents energy of moon and healing power. And also reduces stress, plus black color makes him a protector and absorber of all types of negative energies. His sister is black with little bit traces of grey hair.

  • Both dogs and cats can certainly sense energy shifts in our homes and in us, shifts such as those created by intense emotion (for better or for worse). It goes without saying that being happy, content, and at peace is a pleasurable experience — who doesn’t want a little slice of that, whenever they can get it? 🙂 So, our pets are happy and peaceful when we are, and they’re more apt to be that way constantly if our homes have that vibe, too. Your happiness and peace intensifies when you meditate. Think of it as you, opening a window on a warm, sunny day, and your pet(s) immediately go sit in the sun. They didn’t open the window themselves; they’re enjoying what you’ve brought into the room. Cats do not “meditate constantly,” and neither do dogs or any other pets. It’s not a conscious action they initiate. They’re simply basking in the safe, happy comfort we provide, and how much we provide dictates how much they do this.

  • My beautiful Black long haired cat Storm sadly passed away on August 11th 2023 & I miss her so much & still cry about her being gone. My Daughter bought me an 8wk old Grey Ragdoll X kitten a week later who I named Muggles & even though he could never replace my Storm girl, he’s been such a welcome distraction. He’s just a beautiful furry wound up bundle of energy. He likes to put his paws in his water fountain & flick water everywhere, rolls around on the shower floor after I’ve turned the water off like he’s trying to dry the shower floor for me & even though he is an indoor cat I take him outside for a couple of minutes when it is raining cos he loves playing in the rain. His favourite toy is a one inch long very chewed up toy mouse that just keeps showing up in the weirdest places. He walks around the unit just meowing for no reason even though he knows where I am. When he comes up to me he meows until I rub his furry little face. If I ask him if he’s hungry he meows & runs to his food bowl. I’ve taught him to sit, lay down & stand up on his hind legs on command. Muggles is now 10 months old & just a loveable big bundle of fur & mischief that I love to bits & I can’t thank my beautiful daughter enough for getting him for me.

  • I just learned that I have the sun and the moon energy at home 🙂 Arvid – the white one – is a beautiful siberian forestcat. He often sleeps right next to me and I feel his protection. Fiona – the ginger one – is the cutest Norwegian forestcat I have ever seen. She truly shines like the sun and has such a friendly and light energy to her. Both mean the world to me and I cannot imagine a life without them.

  • I found a stray kitten when I was 13, and after much begging to the parents, was allowed to keep her. The teen years were rough, and Iv often said I don’t know if I’d be here without her. She came with me when I moved out, survived being hit by a car, and way too many moves, but was gone suddenly when we moved to an area with coyotes. A yearish later, I was walking along and ran into a lady trying to get rid of a little pitbull puppy. I knew I needed that puppy instantly. My husband was more interested in the other one she had had home, because of color. So I got #, and later called her for directions to her house. The street before reaching hers, was my dear cat’s name, Shiloh. When we got there, we both agreed instantly, original puppy was the one. She turned out to be the most amazing dog ever, living long enough to be companions to all 3 of my children, before going at the ripe age of 17. I always felt my cat had sent that dog to me.

  • My chocolate brown cat Bentley was extremely close to my significant other who passed away unexpectedly 5 months ago. He would ignore me and follow him around 24/7. I expected him to be stand offish and mourn by staying at the door crying. To my surprise he didn’t look for him and started sleeping with me every night. When I start crying he comes to me instantly. I show him a pic of his dad and he looks at me like …really? He didn’t mourn at all and has been my companion since. Extremely strange to me because he loved him so much. 🤷🏽‍♀️😻

  • My very loved cat ( blonde longhair tabby) Morty disappeared 6 months ago, and I am broken without him. He was my esa, my entertainment, source of pride and joy. Count your blessings, tabby owners. You are blessed in their presence. 😢Peace. I love you Morty, and you loved me, too. Hope you are safe and happy wherever you are now.

  • I just lost my baby patches my son two days after my birthday February 15 is when he passed so he stayed alive to be with me on my birthday which was February 13 and Valentine’s Day. I miss him so much I have his ⚱️ here. I don’t know if I ever be the same without him, but I know he’s with me lovable cat. He hated to see me upset or sad or mad my baby patches, rest in heaven, baby with your brothers and your father and mother. I love you patches.

  • My wife’s Norwegian forest cat passed away in her sleep. Less than a week later a little fluffy black cat walked right in the house but refused to stay. He did this for a month and we soon found why. He soon walked in with his two tortoise shell sisters. They all then refused to leave. I now wake up surrounded by cats

  • Our king of the unvierse put my dog (a pug) in my life when he was 2 & half years old, hes still here fighting fit & healthy at 17 years & 2 months old! Only ever needed to go to the vet 4 times up until now, I live in Scotland & based on he statistics for this unique in the climate etc he lives in he (my pug dog Alfie) is a miracle to me & a true blessing from God as he has been with me through thick & thin & is still my best friends of friends ive had, i love ALL animals but dogs are sacred as well ❤✝️🙏🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

  • I bonded with a grey cat and you are definitely right about them being very affectionate. I developed a bond with a cat that was domestic, but the owner said he wanted to live out doors and i really love this cat. I feed him everyday and even let him sleep and stare out the window in my truck. Hate for him to be in the freezing cold and rain.

  • I’m not a cat person, last time I had a cat was at 7 & I preferred my dog over the cat. But about 7 yrs ago we had a black and white stray come to our home at a very difficult time and she just stayed & never left. Even when her owners found her at our home she ran away from their home twice after they picked her up. It took her 2 days to turn up at our house shaking and crying for food at the door both times. Then the owners just never came back for her after that.

  • I felt the presence of my cat’s soul, the moment he died on the road by the side of our house.suddenly raw milk from a sealed pack spilled from a corner as if it was torn by sharp teeth.my cat was very fond of drinking raw milk always.the very moment I felt that most probably he is no more as he was sick for sometime😢

  • Since i have the orange cat, name is star, i met him at the front of little shop, dying and hungry. About 2 months years old . now he is 9 years, and we own shop name star, since that the luck of his name become star, bright and prosperity in my live. Now from the business we feed 50 abandoned cats, and with 2 persons working to look after the cats.

  • My beautiful calico Kita, whom crossed over the rainbow bridge on june 7 at 17 years old was truly an angelic presence to this world, especially my life which she brought so much healing light and beauty. Her colors stayed so pure and bright throughout her life, and now she shines always on the sacred meadows of the other side, awaiting my return. My last words to her “wait for me”. I know in my heart and soul that will be a truly joyous reunion indeed. The joy of all joys.

  • My special beautiful black cat Lucky is no longer with me from today 1/11/2023 and I stumbled across this article, as I browse You Tube cause I don’t know what to do to occupy myself just now, this was always his “I need feeding and to go out” time of the day. I just had someone knock on my door asking me if I want a kitten!! Things are very sad for me just now without his presence in my life….😢

  • Have 2 cats one is a male ginger and one is a female brown tabby my apartment is extremely quiet, but when a stranger comes to visit they both hide the male will come out to see who it is and if he knows you he will hang around awhile but the female won’t. We hang out all day and are great companions, when I am ill they check on me constantly.

  • Ive had black cats, white/light grey cats, black with some white cats, grey and white cats, and have interacted with my fair share of orange tabbies that weren’t mine, sadly 2 died, 1 went missing, 1 was sold cause my mom n her bf couldn’t “handle” him 2 were my dads ex’s cats so she took them with her And i havent had any since. Neither parent wanted any more after the last one of theres each left. And i cant get one myself as my living situation isn’t compatible with a cat yet, one day tho! Ill have a kitty again!!

  • I.ve had knees and hips replaced..always during recovery my cat will lay lengthwise with my leg or on top of it…always knows when my lady is sick and stays with her too..i have had a few cats pass in the years in my same home and i have felt their precense occasionally and nobody can convince me otherwise..🐱

  • No more animals for me. I enjoyed them for a long time now as I get older and have life hardships. i find it very overwhelming after they are gone no more I enjoyed them while I had have them. My Dog is a rescue and super needy it can get very depressing, unfortunately. Cats are so easy, clean, independent

  • I stayed at my nephew’s place and they had several cats the thing is that I couldn’t make out that this young cat out of the three of them why it well at first took some considerable time to know me but eventually it got so use to me that the trust was so good that it kept on sleeping on my lap for long periods of time also when it was so asleep I use to stroke it at times while still asleep but also another funny thing was when I went to sleep the little baby cat the one that got use to me eventually as I’m asleep this cat would find a place on the bed near my feet to sleep next to me so this baby cat somehow had a lot of faith and trust in me for some reason but one day I turned up back to my nephew’s place and noticed that the baby cat wasn’t around and i asked what’s happened to the baby cat and they said two weeks ago it got rain over by a car a few yards up the road from home but I did like that cat but I did feel sorry for it that it had gone but for some reason that cat took to me because of the positive vibrations that are in me and that’s why it was a bit unsure of being with me also it wasn’t very old.😊

  • I agree that the domesticated cat has much more sensitivity in their makeup than any human ever will. But there’s a lot of anthropomorphism and not much concrete evidence in the narration. Science trumps conjecture, truth trumps speculation, and although I’ve had cats all my life, none have done more than convey their affection. None of the cats I’ve known can do the things this article postulates. Just my opinion, and that of the cat lovers I sent it to … 🇨🇦🖖🏻🇨🇦

  • I love all animals i have 2 beautiful cats that make my house a home give me all the love i need they sleep on my bed. Please animal, cat lovers you may not realise but in Britain, USA all over Europe, Asia sickeningly these beautiful.animals our cousins are being horrifically experimented on, yes cats just like your babies are being experimented on right now in places in UK like Lab Corp Huntingdon and Harrogate, Charles River Saffron Walden Essex and Scotland to name but a few animal torture labs, it is horrific. It is also a fraud as we all know animals respond differently to humans. Pleade, please protest, campaign join an animal rigjts group we owe it to the animals we must fight for justice get the Home Office, Government to abolish animal experiments, please dont turn a blind eye to this the babies need our help if we all pull together we can do it

  • Honestly, just when you thought social media couldn’t get any more mental… THIS! I’ve 4 cats and I love them all dearly but their colours are down to genetics and if they really were angels, why would they randomly smash glasses, fight like the siblings they are and generally follow a very earthen life? Why would they eat & sleep? Why would you assume energy conservation for the hunt was ‘meditation’? Cats follow predictable behaviours because we as a species are capable of study and understanding. To throw this charlatan bullhonkey into the mix belittles what we’ve study as anthropologists and belittles us as a species We are far smarter than to throw the laughable idea of mysticism into the mix Well, some of us are…

  • Humans have fallen in spirituality and sunken into the material world and the ego. I think that’s why cats are no longer respected as in ancient times when humanity still tapped easily into the spiritual world. The ancients worshipped cats as gods. Cats are zen masters, I always feel like I am gazing into ancient souls when I look into cats’ eyes.

  • So cats are meditative masters and spiritually evolved beings because they spend a lot of time sleeping in your house where their every need is met and usually have no escape from or ability to relate to their environment? Dogs, and definitely reptiles, don’t sleep nearly as much as cats do they? Don’t get me wrong I love cats and have 3 of them, just don’t believe them to be spiritually evolved because they’re cute fluffballs that alleviate stress when I pet them (that’s just a form of connecting with something and it can literally be done with inanimate objects) and because they sleep a lot

  • hmm i like that type of mambo jumbo but truth be told cats are good at killing rodents and due to people liking to cluster and create waste we attract rodents which Harper fleas ticks and other disease spreading parasites which is how black plague was spread which was much worse them COVID in the amount of people it killed and kills recently there was a black plague type of disease that broke out in Madagascar and its smaller associated islands and the main reason i believe is because of the illegal reptile trade which has put a lot of the species on endangered list the lack of these reptiles which too control rodent populations became to low to be able to control rodent population which in return of the human population booming its inevitable and bound to happen but either way cute article ♥
