4:55 Blades of the Pyre is insane. It’s the craziest thing in the game and it’s not even close. You can spam it during Formless Feint without taking any damage. It destroys everything in the game and doesn’t even take that much stamina. You basically become an invincible walking bomb that explodes everything around and can’t take damage from anything at all. It’s game-breaking.
important note: If you have missed to get these skills at the time you were supposed to talk to the npc there is an easy fix. go to history then find that npc and see what they like ex. Fancy items etc. then go to that npc talk to him and press give gift and gift them them a thing which comes into that category then doze off for one day come again and repeat after like 4 times the npc will approach you and give you the teaching !
So I noticed a lot of people wore having trouble getting lennart to give you the skill i failed to kill dragon first try in malve, idk if that triggers it and I did all of his daughters quest and reunited them in harve village and still wasn’t giving me anything I even gave him a bunch of stuff to raise my affinity with him( flowers,eternal bond ring, jasper) and still nothing so I decided to camp just outside the village and waited till nightfall to see if that might be the case and went back to him and finally he came up to me asking to escort him to some place. Just do it and he’ll reward you some stuff, but you gotta go back to the village and than he’ll finally give you the skill
I got the courtesy attire for free for helping Sven when i first got to Vernworth. Edit: to be specific I directed the guard away and then bought him the box he was trying to buy. There was then a quest to speak with him at the fountain for a few days and he gifts you stuff every day, the attire being one of the gifts.
For the sorcerer quest (Myrddin) people not getting the spell after giving him real or fakes, I think your affection to him is important (must be high enough) for him to give you the spell. The article didn’t mention it but yeah, fakes or not wouldn’t matter u just need high enough affinity. Give him gifts and do an escort quest for him and then he will give the spell 🙂 Edit: Another tip – he likes spellbooks so giving him that will accelerate the process!
SOOOOO, if you aren’t aware, there is a Ballistae in Melve, climb the tower during the dragon attack turn the Ballistae toward the dragon and shoot it, then aim upward while cranking up the next shot. Who the dragon as it gets ready to fly and you have slain your first dragon. You get the Maister skill for Mystic Spear hand for killing the dragon, the Maister skill for Fighter, and from the dragon’s body you get Dead Ringer a late game weapon for the Spearhand. Now go Arisen and spin blades all over the back sides and faces of your foes.
I got a friend who mains thief. Both skills you get from both thief masters are useful when paired together. One has you smack your daggers together causing a big spark (explosion) dealing damage to both enemies AND you while the 2nd skill has you dodge ALL damage. I don’t like it but when paired together, he’s just running around boom boom boom ticking health down.
For anyone stuck on a tough enemy, just use magic archer’s Martyr bolt till you’re about 1-5% (as close as you can get it) hp Don’t go overboard because the skill can and will kill you if you hold it too long But the martyr shot will literally one shot anything in the game Haven’t met anything that has lived it fully charged yet
For the attire you can also do Sven quest in the market square. He wants to buy a ornate box or chest, if you did the quest for the little girl in Melve standing right outside the store, her father I think will offer a discount on all items in the shop. If you haven’t done the quest in Melve he will ask you to go check on his daughter after which you can buy the box for full price. Give the box to Sven and he will say he will repay you, he will met you at the fountain in a few days time so either go to sleep at your house or inn, or wait at bench till he shows up. Do this two or three times as he wants to met with you a few times and he will flat out give you the attire. Serious DO NOT WASTE GOLD BUYING THIS ATTIRE, they want you to have it and are literally just handing it out lol.
Lennart did not teach me anything. I repelled the dragon the second time i went back to melve same as the article. At the point I am at I am in the mid 20s in level and my fighter vocation is maxed, ive done everything involving melve, ulrika, harve, and the melve folk going to harve and he STILL wont teach me it. I’ve given him tons of items and he says the same 2 voice lines over and over again and walks away and completely ignores me. No idea what im doing wrong. update he randomly decided now was the time to proc the quest from giving him gifts so im sure ill get the move soon.
As every pawn will eventually say, “To each their own,” but if you aren’t planning on mastering all of the vocations, you’re missing out on a massive part of the overall experience. I’m focusing on that before even following the main quest line. The entire game will be so much better (and longer). LOVING this shyte.
this game don’t stop amazing me I just give a bunch of flawer to Ulrika in front of Lennart after I give him the latter from the quest Oxcart courier he approach to me and give me the skill (Riotous Fury) I guess has to do with both happiness for example his quest done correctly throwing the exlosive casks and thenpoison in to the nest(NESTING TROUBLES)
For the Archers Secret teachings i didnt need to do the whole quest line. I went to “Sacred Arbor” Gifted Taliesin 1 Wyrmlife Crystal sat down on the bench for 5 rests and was about to give him another Wyrmlife crystal when he gave me the archers skill (This can be done early in the game before you ever have to save his daughter from the Giant)
Anyone else having trouble getting Beren to give you Arc of Might (Warrior’s Ultimate Skill)??? I lost the spar because I didn’t realize the ring was THAT small and I backed up a tiny bit as an Archer, lost immediately. I’ve literally escorted him to the spot in Bettahl he asks you to take him to and still nothing. He’s not even at his cabin anymore.
Killed the drake and never infested in fighter only unlocked it, was thief rank 5 or 6 and got mystic spearhand plus the master scroll at the same time. Fighter master skill was the same, never infested in it but i suddenly got it from Lennart, i was like bro, what the hell?! moments later when i got the master skill for spearhand as well. Edit: you also get the courly attire from sven when doing his quest with the ornate box.
Warning- makes sure you have a save before the Sigurd fight for mystic spearhand. He ended up getting throw off a cliff or me and I’m 90% sure he’s dead, and I don’t know if his body ended up back in Bahatahl city or not On a fun note, the medusa is nearby so if you can beat her and cut off her head you can use that to cheese the dragon
Bruh my pawn one shotted the little girl and luckily I had a wake stone to revive her xD Edit – Okay so I got the sorcerer spell but didnt get the mage spell so I rested a day and went back to the house, the old lady gave me an escort mission to Melve and after doing it I went back to the house and she gave the mage spell then. I believe coz I killed the girl I had to raise the npc affection to get the spell from her.
I know this is an old article, and I love you guys articles, but your brains didn’t put together that you’re supposed to use the blades of pyre with formless feint that was kind of the point why they gave you both of them at the same time, something damages you when you use it something negates damage when you use it how is that not obvious😂
For mage and sorcerer…After rest again at the campfire next ti enii, the Little girl and her grandmother didn’t give me nothing. I dunno why because a i have done literally the same thing you do. Just rest again at campfire, escort the Grandma, back again, escort the Little girl, back again and rest. After all i have only One skill and nothing Else. I dunno no why
Ah gotcha this is why you need to spoil yourself ALEAST A LITTLE BIT because i sold the fighter and archer master technique on my first play through and I went to the sorcerer man one too many times the wrong way and he attacked me and my response was throwing him off the cliff without hesitation so yeah i missed a couple of things
Trickster could have been… so cool if it could actually do damage. Or at least a second “Toxic Trickster” or something. Its shitty that its so useless. Like yes, you CAN make it somewhat viable in some scenarios… but its basically intentionally playing the game on harder difficulty for no reason. Idk the class just isnt well made. It needs to be toxic fumes that deal damage over time. Like a poisonous smoke would have been WAY better. The dragon should spew toxic fumes on them and do a ton of damage. Also Magick Archers bolt is SHIT compared to mage/sorc abilities. They dont consume anything casting them and do THE SAME AMOUNT OF DAMAGE, but Martyrs bolt sacrifices max health… and it doesnt seem to recover until you sleep. Its too brutal a punishment for matching damage of other vocations that do the same damage for free.
How tf did itsuno not saw the outcome of the pawn leaderboards in his Vision… Its filled with “Sphinx” Pawns. Noone talks about this.. Do you guys just dont care that your pawn which you spend hours on get on top of the leaderboards and actually recruited or is this issue only on console and PCs leaderboards are clear of those?
