Columbia Middle School, located in Grovetown, Georgia, has been changing its mascot and logos over the years. The school opened in November 1982 and became the 7th middle school in the Aurora Public Schools’ District. The first 8th grade class designated the mascot as the “Cougar”, which barely beat the second entry “Cobras”. Columbia University’s official mascot, Roar-ee the Lion, serves as a unifying symbol that transcends academics and athletics, resonating deeply within the university’s culture.
The Lamar Consolidated ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously to approve the new mascot, the Blue Jay, during its 112th birthday celebration on April 5. Columbia High School (CHS) is a four-year public high school located in Lake City, Florida, with the Fighting Tigers mascot and colors purple and gold. In addition, the Moses Lake School District unveiled the new mascots and logos for both Columbia Middle School and Columbia High School.
