The crone-made amulet is an altered ghostspeak amulet used in Animal Magnetism, obtained by talking Netty with a ghostspeak amulet and at least one empty slot. It is a hidden item in the game, used in the Ghosts Ahoy quest. The Stormclaw Druid build uses Greatstaff of the Crone to attack with Claw and Storm Strike simultaneously, offering a true melee playstyle with exceptional effects.
The Amulet of Dark Fire is a legendary item introduced in Total War: Warhammer II The Queen and the Crone. It was a hidden legendary item for Crone Hellebron. The use of amulets can be traced throughout ancient Egypt, from the Predynastic to the Roman Period (ca. 4400 B.C.–fourth century A.D.). Early amulets often took the form of a talisman.
In the bad ending, Geralt goes to get the amulet, but there’s nothing to speak about in the other two. The final crone is killed in the bad ending, and Ciri’s medallion is found in their old place in Crookback Bog. Fighting the last crone is an ending event that requires certain criteria.
The amulet first appears when Elena Galathynius, first owner of the Eye, gives it to Celaena in the tombs for her protection. When Celaena is sent to the Lighthouse Keeper, the Graveyard Keeper asks him to sell the amulet and blatantly reveals his plans to ask Snake to steal it after he is killed.
The amulet of glory is tradeable on the Grand Exchange only when it has zero, four, or six charges. It is a popular amulet in members-only worlds amongst the player characters.

What is Ciris medallion?
Ciri, a character in Witcher 3, wears a Cat school medallion, which is not mentioned in Witcher 3. The Wolf symbol next to Geralt’s health bar is replaced with a Cat symbol, which Ciri takes from a bounty hunter named Leo Bonhart, who looted it from a Cat school witcher he killed. The Witcher 4 teaser may be a rebranding of the Cat school, possibly referring to Ciri’s medallion. Ciri’s transformation into a witcher in the best ending of Witcher 3’s main story makes her a suitable protagonist for a new game set after Geralt’s retirement, aligning with CDPR’s statements about the future of The Witcher games.
What is the rose on Ciri’s thigh?
The Saga features a tattoo of Ciri’s lover Mistle, a memento from her time with The Rats. However, the Wild Hunt did not fully explore this complex episode, which would have been a great story. Lauren Szamalek, who has been writing for PC Gamer since 2017, is a self-appointed chief cozy games and farmlife sim enthusiast. She has a background in game development and is fascinated by modding and speedrunning scenes.
Lauren enjoys long fantasy books, longer RPGs, co-op survival crafting games, and The Sims games for over 20 years. She hopes to revisit Ciri’s other adventures in the future. The tattoo is a reminder of Ciri’s darker side and her remorse for her actions.
Why is Geralt’s medallion a wolf?
Geralt, also known as Gwynbleidd or The White Wolf, is a powerful mage in Netflix’s The Witcher. His medallion, worn as a necklace, signifies his affiliation with the School of the Wolf, which trains at Kaer Morhen. In the videogames, books, and comics, the medallion can detect monsters or magic and vibrate when a monster is nearby or near a Place of Power. The significance of Geralt’s medallion lies in the trial he undergoes in The Witcher, where apprentices receive mutations that give them heightened senses, fast healing, and resistance to pain, poison, and disease.
Yennefer, a powerful mage, is associated with two Obsidian Star medallions: one affixed to a velvet ribbon around her throat and the other showing the star on the lower half. She wears her five-pointed star medallion at all times, suggesting it is important to her and possibly contains or enhances her magic.
Who is stronger than Geralt?
In the novel The Witcher, Vilgefortz is portrayed as more powerful than Geralt, who is skilled in combat. In Time of Contempt, Vilgefortz is defeated and left severely wounded after escaping Ciri. Yennefer, a powerful character, attended the magical school of Aretuza to learn how to channel and control her chaos. In Netflix’s The Witcher, Yennefer has shown her power, especially during the Battle of Sodden Hill, but her power is not as powerful as Vilgefortz. Vilgefortz’s powers and abilities are beyond Yennefer’s, and her weakened state since the Battle of Sodden Hill only adds to his natural power and danger.
Vilgefortz is more powerful than Geralt and Yennefer, and defeating them might be easier for him. However, he cannot defeat Ciri, the Princess of Cintra with Elder Blood and a natural affinity for magical abilities. Ciri’s powers and potential can either save or destroy the world, depending on which side she joins and who trains her. Despite her training in Netflix’s The Witcher, Ciri still has a long way to go in her magic training.
Why is Ciri’s symbol a swallow?
The Witcher books and video games feature the use of medallions as tools by Witchers to detect magical auras and warn of potential dangers. In The World of The Witcher, a compendium by Marcin Batylda, medallions are used to detect illusions, spells, and magical creatures. They can also warn of sudden dangers, but some enemies like vampires and dopplers cannot be detected by a medallion. The three specific symbols revealed on Netflix’s Instagram by Geralt actor Henry Cavill are Geralt’s Gwynbleidd, Ciri’s Zireael, and Yennefer’s Obsidian Star. Although not medallions, they are significant to each character and are not directly related to the characters mentioned in the text.
What is the point of the medallion in The Witcher?
Medallions are symbols of a Witcher’s profession and indicate the school they hail from. They are given to Witcher candidates who pass the Trial of the Grasses, a potentially deadly ordeal that uses powerful ingredients to strengthen apprentices. In The World of The Witcher, a compendium by Marcin Batylda, medallions are used by Witchers as a tool to react to magical auras, allowing them to become aware of nearby sorcery, illusions, spells, and magical creatures.
Medallions can also warn of sudden dangers, though some enemies like vampires and dopplers cannot be detected by a medallion. Netflix revealed three specific symbols on Geralt actor Henry Cavill’s Instagram: Geralt’s Gwynbleidd, Ciri’s Zireael, and Yennefer’s Obsidian Star. These symbols are significant to each character, but may not be medallions themselves.
What is the true form of the Crones of Crookback Bog?
The Crones of Crookback Bog, also known as the Ladies of the Wood or the Good Ladies, are mysterious creatures with mystical abilities who live in a swamp cabin. They are revered by the people of Downwarren, who see them as forces of good who help them during their time of need. The Crones cleansed the air and provided seeds for the people, and in return, the townspeople gave back a human ear. Whispess, the eldest Crone, collects these ears and hangs them atop trees within the swamp, allowing her to hear anything picked up by the ears, ensuring the Crones knew everything that took place in their territory. The Crones are harsh but just mistresses who demand much from their people.
What is Ciri’s amulet?

Who is the hardest beast in The Witcher 3?
Dettlaff van der Eretein, also known as The Beast of Beauclair, is a challenging vampire in the Blood and Wine expansion. He can be fought in the “Tesham Mutna” quest in the Caroberta Woods region. Dettlaff’s attack patterns are frustrating, and Geralt’s final blow is delayed due to Regis’ stealth. Dettlaff has three phases, with the second being the most challenging. Players should aim to roll before the bats hit Geralt, rather than the moment they are summoned, to avoid his bat attack.
Can Geralt fight the crones?
The Crones, who are scared of Geralt and Ciri, are standing as naked women in Bald Mountain, a main quest in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The quest starts automatically after Blood on the Battlefield. Upon reaching Bald Mountain, you can use your Witcher Senses to follow a path and meet a guard and an elder peasant named Stregomir. Stregomir informs you that Geralt had once served the Ladies and invites you to join them at their fireplace for conversation.
Stregomir also reveals that Geralt had served the Ladies and will direct you to Thecla if you want to see them. Along the way, you will encounter Johnny and possibly Sarah, if you evicted her during Novigrad Dreaming. Stregomir warns you that Ciri is young enough to meet the Ladies, but Geralt is not. After talking to Stregomir, proceed to Thecla’s tent.
Is crone a witch?
It was thought that the pear tree was barren as a result of a curse uttered by an elderly woman from the local community. In Neopaganism, the crone represents the attainment of maturity and wisdom, as well as the concluding stages of life. However, a wizened, tattered crone, cloaked in a shawl, was regarded as intimidating or irascible, and it was recommended not to be cowed by her.
📹 Game of Thrones S06E01- Melisandre’s True Identity
Melisandre reveals her true identity in Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 1. Is she an immortal witch after all? *FOLLOW ON …
I love this scene!! That’s one of Paige’s deepest fears, is not being as good as to feel Prue’s shoes In the season before this one Piper was changing her name of the club and, she really hurt Paige when. She said “P3 doesn’t exist anymore.” I hate people treat her character. Like damn let her live lol
Cole was just in a lose/lose situation at this point. I didn’t like how the writers had Phoebe basically losing her mind over him during season 3, got engaged and married them season 4. Then when she had to kill him, she literally broke down. Then at the start of season 5, she couldn’t stand him and all of a sudden, she hated him. It made no sense.
Hated this ending. Besides Paige’s growth, they learned absolutely nothing this whole episode. Phoebe even had the exact same fear that Cole did and nearly killed Paige… but it’s Phoebe, so it’s cool, not worth bringing that up again I guess. Then Cole vanquishes a freakin’ demon, like they do every week, and they look at him like he just murdered a puppy in front of them. The hell? It’d be one thing if he used some crazy Wasteland power that freaked them out, but all he did was use an energy ball… he’s always had those, you’ve seen him vanquish lots of demons with them! They should’ve just left Cole in season 4. End his arc with Long Live the Queen, let her mourn him, cut out the wasteland stuff and move on. What they did in this season was just terrible.
The problem with cole and phoebe is that they stretch that relationship WAY too far! They should’ve left is at season 4 where he was killed. They pulled a Ross and Rachel type of crap but in the end cole end up with the shitting part of the deal where he still loved her and was trying to get her back but she wanted to move on but couldn’t so she ended up hating him. 🙄🙄
Cole defeating Barbas = OMG stand away b/c he will always be eeeevil. Phoebe throwing her mortal H.S. classmate Rick into a demon trap to be killed = LOL oh well, had to do it! Also this show is really random about continuity. They can remember making a reference to Prue flinging a spilled potion at the Grimlocks in s1 and 3 but barely remember other major plot points as the show goes on.
I liked this moment from Paige, it shows that both she and Prue are their own individuals. And each of their own strengths are why Prue and Paige are my favorites. On another note I hate how Cole is just stuck in a lose/lose situation, he’s berated by Poor Poor Pitiful Piper/PhoeMe for his “evil powers” (when its really about the intent) even though he was tricked out of his powers by their worst enemy Barbas, yet the moment he gets the powers back to save their lives he’s treated as a monster again Cole just can’t win with those two harpies. (I also dislike how Phoebe just backs away when he helps defeat their worst enemy)
These comments… Instead of celebrating & remembering the Charmed legacy y’all came here to compare Paige with Prue and humiliate Paige. I personally love them both. They’re my 2 faves. I love their powers & personalieties… Each of the charmed one was unique & special in her own way. No need to degrade none of them.
I liked prue and I love when she was on there but the show got better when she left like for instance when paige came along alot happened like piper went from the shy middle sister who always depended on prue to become her own kick ass person big sister and the most powerful witch in her own right. Phoebe went from the irresponsible little sister to a strong smart and incredibly great fighter and her power grew . Paige in the season 4 was finding herself but paige in season 5 was a super Witch and she was determined to be a Great witch in her own right which she did. For me in season 5 when paige hair turn red from that potion that is what made her stand out from prue and her other sister this is what gave paige her own identity paige had some many powers from her witch side to white lighter side she really learned all her powers and helped other witches and white lighters.
The show just lost its magic after Prue died. The sister bond seemed to die and it became too much Leo/Piper, Phoebe/Cole, and then Paige just there. The dynamic that made the first three seasons great disappeared and the acting and storylines went down drastically. Almost became like a spoof of how it started.
This would’ve been 100x better if her telekinetic orbing advanced to where she didn’t need to call the item or person she wanted to move since people try to downplay her power as a “weaker” version of TK when it’s literally the same thing the object just moves with orbs because she’s half whitelighter but nonetheless she still MOVED the potion off the floor and into his face and didn’t just ORB (Teleport) it on him
I like how piper phoebe & paige made a potion that would give cole his powers back he tells leo & the sisters that he’s doing it 4 phoebe & piper told paige that she can orb the potion in barbas’s mouth cuz prue did & I like when barbas says your no prue are you & paige proves him wrong by Orbing the potion in his mouth & cole uses a energy ball that kills the demon
The thing is to truly earn redemption you have to be willing to admit you are wrong and actively try to make things up to the ones you hurt the most. Throught his time in season 5 Cole constantly says he’s changed but he never once acknowledges his own faults that led to Phoebe being turned into the queen of evil or what he did as the source to her. It is because of that fact that the girls and Leo don’t trust him anymore, they’ve seen and heard it all from him before and they can’t trust that this time will be any different. If I was on the writing staff I would’ve prefered not to have him written out this way, BUT I hate that people automatically take his side without pointing out glaring issues like not telling Phoebe right away about the source possessing him or not stopping Phoebe from becoming queen when he briefly regained control during the wizard episode and not once do people acklnowedge where Phoebe is coming from. Everything about what she feels in this season toward him makes sense and I never got the feeling it came out of nowhere. Hell they even show signs of where their going in the season 4 finale, and even in that episode he prooves he did’nt learn his lesson by not even flinching at asking Phoebe to use the Grimroire.
They vanquished Barbas several times, but when Cole does it, it is all bad and wrong??? I don’t get why they messed up season 5 and 6 for the most part… because the storyline wasn’t that bad in general, but picking up issues which should be bygones by now (by just thinking of things which happened in season 2, 3 and 4) is not that good of an idea.
Actually hated Cole right at the start cuz he was all weird and suspicious haha. But then there was that whole thing with Phoebe and I actually liked them together until they broke up, Cole goes mad, Phoebe gets evil and pregnant, the sisters start treating Cole like he’s some sort of disease (afraid/ annoyed jeez who knows), poor Cole never gets any thanks… have I missed anything out? #JUSTICEFORCOLE
I do believe it’s the necklace which turns her old but I believe the necklace only has the power to do so as Melisandre loses her faith in the lord of light after Stannis dies due her visions in the fire being a lie and not being about Stannis. She loses her belief in the lord of light which is later restored when Jon Snow is bought back to life. This is why back in season 4 when she had the bath without the necklace she doesn’t turn old as her faith is strong in the lord of light
At this moment, after Stannis died she thought she had failed Lord of light by failing to recognize the ‘Prince that was Promised’ . So she took off the necklace thinking she would die . But Lord of Light had another purpose for her . She fulfilled her purpose by uniting ‘Ice and Fire’ and by doing her part in the LONG NIGHT (S8EP03) After fulfilling the purpose given by Lord of Light and seeing the Night Walkers die, she took off her necklace moving outside gates of Winterfell and DIED
I think she choose to revert to her true form as she was getting to sleep. Might not be tied strictly to her necklace her youth power. Maybe takes focus for her to keep her youth appearance and when she goes to sleep she doesnt have to use her power. If she gonna risk taking it off and aging so much then she might not wake up.
It may be that the director of this episode meant to imply that removing her necklace is what reveals Melisandre’s true age, but that doesn’t seem to be the case in previous episodes. For instance, in the 7th episode of season four, “Mockingbird,” Melisandre talks to Selyse Baratheon while taking a bath, and she’s not wearing a necklace at all. It could be that the necklace is what she uses, and the preservation of continuity in this case is just a trivial matter to be pointed out in the occasional obscure thread or comment section. But I’m more inclined to believe that the necklace really has nothing to do with her ability to alter her appearance, whether heavily implied in this scene or not.
In my opinion, ” The Red Woman” is taking her “Atonement” like Cersi. She had to see herself as her true self. Earlier, when she was bathing without the necklace; I felt that she didn’t see Lady Stannis as a threat, so not much magic intended needed. Albeit later:— When “The Red Woman” retreated from Stanniss’ camp and returned to Castle Black to save Jon Snow 🤔🤔🤔 She saw him in the flames fighting at Winterfell. She knew, to me, after she killed Shireen, Stannis daughter/princess, she was not going to survive long after that?
and this is why she belived so much in the fire god, because she saw the power every single day, everyone of us would belive in superstition if we would have atleast 1 proof, but that is why superstition is considered bullshit because all the acting of god happend in a book called bible written by men thousands of years ago
The screen cuts to her potions before the reveal. My guess is she can maintain her young form if either (or both) she is wearing the necklace or she drinks the potions. In the bath scene with selyse she had plenty of access to her potions as was pointed out on that very scene. Here she doesn’t as she’s trapped in a small space with Davos and Co and didn’t really have time to bring enough potions. I don’t believe it’s the Lord of light, as GRRM isn’t really the type to make real a god whom demands people including children, be burned alive.
so for most of the series, she was very possibly some extremely mixed up individuals idea of a beautiful woman, even if you would have to be at least a bit kinky, to want to have her in your bed, but off course in this clip, one minute she`s a extremely attractive, and powerful woman, and then the next minute, she looks like someone`s nan, and i cannot possibly say that this is exactly a good look for her, for the love of god, please put the necklace back on, and what happens if your perhaps had a bit too much to drink, and you go to bed with one of the most beautiful, sexy, and down right drop dead gorgeous, ladies of all time, and yet the next morning when you wake up, do you then have to ask yourself, where has she gone, and why has she been replaced by her mother, but then if you do eventually realise that this is still the same woman, and yet you still find her pretty, perhaps it`s at that moment that you have to ask your self, what exactly is wrong with me, and from now on am i only going to be dating, the clinically dead, and if so, what the beep, happened to my life.
