Jupiter, the planet of good fortune, expands opportunities and benefits within a house it visits, ruling wealth and solid financial gain. It brings vision, faith, optimism, loyalty, justice, confidence, and wisdom. Jupiter is the expansive planet, larger than all other planets in the solar system, making it the Great Benefactor. Dev Brihaspati, also known as the Guru of deities, represents the abundance of both material and spiritual wealth. Jupiter, considered one of the most benefic planets in Vedic astrology, is also associated with the crown chakra. Does Jupiter bring money?

Jupiter, the planet of expansion and abundance, is associated with luck, growth, and prosperity. Its placement in your natal chart indicates where you are most likely to experience financial blessings and opportunities. Jupiter in the second house of personal wealth indicates a natural ability to attract money and resources, suggesting successful financial ventures if you maintain a positive outlook and take calculated risks. If Jupiter resides in the eighth house, which governs shared resources and investments, joint ventures or inheritances play a significant role in financial growth.

Venus, the planet of beauty, harmony, and luxury, also has a strong influence on wealth, particularly in relation to personal values and material comforts. When Venus is well-placed in your chart, it suggests a knack for attracting money through artistic endeavors, partnerships, or activities that bring pleasure and enjoyment. In the seventh house of partnerships, business collaborations or romantic relationships could significantly boost your financial standing.

Understanding the astrological houses related to finance is crucial for a comprehensive view of wealth in your birth chart. The second house, often referred to as the house of possessions, directly relates to personal income, savings, and material assets. The eighth house governs shared resources, taxes, debts, and investments, highlighting areas where you might gain wealth through external sources or transformative experiences. The eleventh house, associated with friendships, networks, and aspirations, can indicate financial gains through social connections and long-term goals.

In which signs is Jupiter strong?

Jupiter’s energy is associated with optimism, generosity, and adventure, encouraging us to pursue higher education, explore different cultures, and seek out life’s deeper meanings. When positive, it brings luck, prosperity, and a broad-minded outlook, helping us see opportunities and take risks that lead to growth. However, when negatively aspected in a chart, it can lead to excess, overconfidence, and unrealistic expectations.

Jupiter’s position in the zodiac signs reflects its expansive and optimistic energy. In Sagittarius, it is strong, attracting adventurous individuals interested in philosophy, travel, and new experiences. In Pisces, it brings a spiritual and compassionate energy, intuitive, empathetic, and drawn to helping others. In Capricorn, its energy becomes disciplined and practical, focusing on long-term goals and realistic growth through structured efforts.

In Gemini, Jupiter brings a love for learning and communication, making them good at teaching, writing, or fields that require quick thinking and versatility. The house where Jupiter is located in the birth chart shows the area of life where its energy is most felt. Jupiter transits can bring periods of growth, opportunity, and optimism in the areas it affects in the birth chart. A Jupiter return occurs approximately every 12 years, marking a time of significant growth and new beginnings. Understanding Jupiter’s role helps us see our potential for growth and how to pursue a fuller, more meaningful life.

What causes weak Jupiter?

Jupiter, a naturally beneficent planet, may be subject to weakening influences when situated in an ascendant position that is not conducive to its natural influence, as well as when Saturn is positioned in a nearby house and there is Pitru Rhin.

How to know if Jupiter is good?

Jupiter is regarded as a robust planetary influence when situated in its own sign or in the signs it governs, such as Sagittarius or Pisces. A robust Jupiter in advantageous houses, such as the first, fifth, ninth, or eleventh, can augment its beneficial impact.

How do you know if my Jupiter is strong or weak?

A weak Jupiter can negatively impact a person’s knowledge, societal reputation, and ability to dominate others. It can lead to societal suffering, lack of fame, and dominance. The location of Jupiter in a person’s birth chart determines how long they will enjoy progress. If Jupiter is weak, success or fame may come to an end quickly. In palmistry, the planet is represented by the index finger and the mountain below it.

If Jupiter is found to be weak, it is important to identify the signs that confirm this condition and consider remedies to help deal with the sin planet. By understanding the signs and remedies, individuals can better manage their Jupiter and achieve success in their life.

Why is Jupiter so powerful?

Why is Jupiter so powerful?

Jupiter’s magnetic field is the strongest in the Solar System, with a dipole moment of 4. 170 gauss (0. 4170 mT) and surface magnetic field strength varying from 2 gauss (0. 20 mT) to 20 gauss (2. 0 mT). This field is generated by eddy currents within the fluid, metallic hydrogen core. At about 75 Jupiter radii from the planet, the interaction of the magnetosphere with the solar wind generates a bow shock. Surrounding Jupiter’s magnetosphere is a magnetopause, which is elongated by the solar wind, extending it outward until it nearly reaches the orbit of Saturn.

The four largest moons of Jupiter orbit within the magnetosphere, protecting them from solar wind. The volcanoes on the moon Io emit sulfur dioxide, forming a gas torus along its orbit. The gas is ionized in Jupiter’s magnetosphere, producing sulfur and oxygen ions, which, together with hydrogen ions from Jupiter’s atmosphere, form a plasma sheet in Jupiter’s equatorial plane. The plasma in the sheet co-rotates with the planet, causing deformation of the dipole magnetic field into that of a magnetodisk.

Electrons within the plasma sheet generate a strong radio signature, with short, superimposed bursts in the range of 0. 6–30 MHz that are detectable from Earth with consumer-grade shortwave radio receivers.

Jupiter has a faint planetary ring system composed of three main segments: an inner torus of particles known as the halo, a relatively bright main ring, and an outer gossamer ring. These rings appear to be made of dust, unlike Saturn’s rings made of ice.

What is Jupiter responsible for in astrology?

Jupiter, the planet of faith, positivism, hope, and morality, is associated with Sagittarius and is exalted in Cancer. It represents the principle of expansion and the aspirations of the higher self, encompassing humor, good will, and mercy. However, it can also be associated with irresponsibility, such as blind optimism and overindulgence. Jupiter’s position in the chart indicates how one’s faith, generosity, and tolerance will be expressed, as well as the modes of activity that will stimulate self-confidence and wisdom.

What is the purpose of Jupiter?

A new study in The Astronomical Journal suggests that large Jupiter-like gas giants could potentially knock small rocky exoplanets like Earth out of the habitable zone due to their gravitational impact. The study suggests that Jupiter’s gravitational field, which deflects comets and asteroids away from our planet, could be acting like a “wrecking ball” causing the exoplanets to be knocked out of their habitable zone. This could potentially lead to the extinction of exoplanets in the vicinity.

How do you benefit from Jupiter?

How do you benefit from Jupiter?

Jupiter, the planet of good luck and wisdom, can be strengthened by wearing yellow clothes, wearing yellow sapphire jewelry, and eating yellow foods like turmeric and bananas. On Thursdays, Jupiter’s day, take on important tasks and projects. Adding yellow to outfits daily, especially on Thursdays, brings balance to emotional and psychological dilemmas and soothes health problems. Surrounding your body and home in yellow and gold can maximize Jupiter’s positive vibes.

  • I have never heart idea of Jupiter shining as a lamp, but it recalls me interpretation of Chiron in western astrology, describe as “wounded teacher” – it means you can gain experience in are of Chiron placement and to be supportive for other people in this area but you cannot suceed yourself (in my case Xth house in Aries, so exactly the same as Jupiter-so it i hard to comment this). This story of waunded centaur Chiron helping people (based on greek miths).

  • Jupiter is one planet that I’m uncertain of because if I enter in my birth time as per my birth certificate, Jupiter is 29 degrees and 45′ in Taurus in the 8th. I’m not sure what the window is before I should consider that it could be in the 9th and/or Gemini. It’s a fairly slow moving planet I know. But how slow I don’t know.

  • I was born on Thursday and I have 4 Birth Cards Eight 🎱 of Diamonds The Sun ☀️😎 Card King 👑 of Cups/Hearts 💕 The Wheel 🎡 of Fortune 🔮 The BEAR 🐻 and The Magician The Fox 🦊 2 Angels Zadkiel and Raziel 2 Planets Jupiter and Mercury and my favorite color is Purple 💜! • Hi:) I have placement of Jupiter in Xth house as well (in Aries), additionaly it conjuct Mars and is placed close to MC (medium coeli) axis – but I am not sure if this term is used in vedic astrology system. This is a house of career so it seams that it is my main area of gaining experience. I had been working in may jobes and firms and I agree with such a point of view. The most meaningful and influencial ivents on my life referd to proffesional activity.

  • My son is a Pisces sun and sag moon and rising, and has Jupiter in libra in the 11th conjunct MC. He is only 4 but everything has to be BIG with this kid. When I ask him what he wants to be when he grows up he just says HUGE. He takes enormous bites of food (like ridiculously big bites but he just likes it that way 🤷‍♀️). He also is popular with his friends because he will rig up all the bikes in the play yard so he can pull multiple friends around all at once. Excited to see how his Jupiter plays out through his life. My daughter also has an exalted Jupiter in cancer and is extremely generous, almost to a fault sometimes. Loved this talk, thanks!!

  • I think that this interview may be my favorite that you have done Chris.. Sam and you both have such a deep knowledge of astrology. . Also the harmony that you seem to have with one another created a great flow to this article. I learned more about how Jupiter function in my own life. Having the Sun, Mercury and Jupiter conjunct in Pisces this was particularly meaningful. Many thanks.

  • I have Jupiter Conjunct Uranus. I don’t feel like conjunction has been written about well. Nothing that I seem to find online seems very accurate for my observation of this conjunction for me. It’s been a lot of really big accidents that destroyed the entire life that I once knew that comes from this transit. I’ve also considered this the aspect largely responsible from death being my biggest teacher. The death of my friends have served as spiritual awakenings for me. I hate that this is considered such a lucky aspect because I have never really had a lot of luck in my life at all. I don’t consider myself lucky in any shape or form other than the people that have been in my life that have died. I am lucky to have known them and to have had them in my life. Jupiter Uranus is something I’ve been studying intently since 2008 when I first learned about it more in depth! It’s influence on music and culture is huge, though I made a 45 minute montage of music that came out during this Conjunction over the years, and there are some really interesting themes that you might not even think about being very Jupiter Uranus until you think about them. For example, birds, raccoons, or other wild and free animals being a theme on many albums for decades during this conjunction. I am not really looking forward to next year’s conjunction. The one in Aquarius killed my friend Kim after a high speed car chase. The one in Pisces killed my friend Melissa. Both in car accidents ironically at my birth the car did not work and had to be pushed to the hospital by my entire family, there was not an accident that I was aware of except for the fact the car didn’t work because there was a giant blizzard.

  • It’s so interesting that you mentioned @39:00 law of attraction and how it comes naturally to some people with Jupiterian energy just based on their optimistic nature. I’m a Pisces sun, Sagittarius moon, Scorpio rising with 9th house Jupiter in Leo (close to my Leo mid heaven). I very much relate to having an extreme faith and optimism and having things just constantly work out for me. I noticed it really annoy others at times but I view it as nothing short of a divine blessing lol.

  • Great talk 🙂 . Samuel was a great choice for a guest, love his sincere voice and critical thought approach and his contributions on the old ‘Pluto’ episode too. As Jupiter is the only planet that exerts a force on the Sun strong enough to pull it from its center point, the themes of expansion / aspiration and deep knowledge maybe in fluid dialogue with the creative will of the Sun. One may imagine that the sweeping effect from Jupiter / Sun opposition to Jupiter / Sun conjunction is a powerful waxing a waning cycle net around our personal planets. I have Jupiter in ♌

  • Samuel is pretty fascinating and I hope he appears more in the future. I agree that humbleness is something that gets bestowed on a person rather than something anyone can manifest within themselves and I also agree that it can happen while acknowledging something greater than oneself, though I think it happens more out of fear of something greater than oneself like natural disasters or disease rather than something aspirational. Listening because I have Jupiter in Cancer in 11H and wanted to learn more about it. Great show as always.

  • This episode made me go back and listen to the podcast you did on cusps 3 years ago. Bc Sam is a Sagittarius but he was making suspiciously Saturnian comments (ex: “luck is preparation meets opportunity” Jupiter would never describe luck this way 🤣) I am a self-professed Sagicorn (Dec. 22) so I’m very interested in this topic. Sam’s comments on Jupiter vs. Saturn are like probabilities vs possibilities was PERFECT! I’m constantly oscillating between the two 😩😅

  • Lol. I grew up on a dairy and then a beef farm with 2 siblings. My father is now 97 and I am the youngest and am 57. My Jupiter is in Taurus in 4th whole house. We were expected to work on the farm and we did. When I was 15 my father and I took in ALL the hay. 7500 square bales. @40-50lbs each. We each handled each bake twice. I was the strongest 15 year old girl for miles. We have benefited financially through early inheritances.♉

  • I have Pisces Rising as my Solar Return Rising sign with Jupiter in early Pisces & Neptune late Pisces in the 1st house. Very fertile placement from my understanding. My solar return started on June 9th. I found out last night that I’m pregnant! My man was ecstatic when I showed him the test. My last pregnancy was 12 years ago. I’m so happy. It was unexpected but totally jazzed and ready.

  • I loved this podcast. Last night I have order my Jupiter return from Samuel’s website. I am soo impressed how the report was very insightful and easy to resonate Jupiter’s each cycle. Now I know why transiting Jupiter conjuncting my Sun, Mercury and MC felt so intense because It was during the Jupiter square cycle. I was soo disappointed of how intense the anxiety was. Now I hope to be ready for all the cycles.

  • Jupiter on Leo Ascendant, Sun on Taurus Midheaven 10H here — when I was very young I was called bossy. It wasn’t until a few people called me arrogant and I was getting into astrology, that I took a closer look at what all that was about. Pluto conjunct Jupiter + Mars/Chiron opposite Jupiter made for even greater impact on others than I had ever realized. My spiritual practice over the decades has incorporated being able to acknowledge with humility the gifts I’ve been given and exercise this native magnanimity towards my own and others’ upliftment.

  • This is so interesting and helpful. Sam knows his stuff! I love his honesty too. Fellow Pisces ♓️ rising here 🤗⭐️ My Jupiter is in 6th house 🙈, in Leo, conjunct Regulus ☀️. Night chart. My Jupiter returns have never lived up to the hype of many astrologers. They’ve usually been a huge disappointment. Now I understand it’s the benefic out of sect and cannot do such great things trapped in the 6th. Thanks for an honest appraisal of Jupiter 🙏❤️

  • Hi all, I’m a Sagittarius ♐ Sun, Mercury, and Mars with Jupiter in Virgo ♍ in the 3rd house. I have been paying attention to Jupiter this year as I’ve been in a Sagittarius profection, but generally there’s always a bunch of Jupiter in my life. I have 12 siblings, and grew up in an evangelical household. My mom has a 4 planet Pisces stellium, and my dad has a 4 planet Sagittarius stellium. My kids, one has a Sag sun, the other a Sag moon. and, of course, I’m an astrologer. thx for this Jupiter episode! xo

  • My Jupiter is ♓ in my 8th house 👀 I really enjoyed the podcast, but I just wanted to interject some input. People who have never truly suffered typically do have empathy, probably more readily available to them than the rest of us. They’re just sheltered, and that’s when often they can disbelieve somebody talking about their own suffering. It would shatter their world view, so it’s more comfortable to stay within that bubble. However, people who lack empathy are always victims of trauma, typically in early childhood, when you are your most empathetic. They can’t be open to emotions because then they’ll be hit with the emotions regarding what they went through, which is completely overwhelming and makes you feel like you’re going to die. Ironically, a lot more people than we think aren’t engaging in empathy. We can see and hear the people who exert callousness or cruelty. But there are so many people who experienced trauma that limits their ability for empathy. The ‘unseen’ people without true empathy just learned how to simulate it, so we can have relationships and love. And it’s not even really an act or anything. It just became a way of being to survive.

  • Pisces asc Libra sun 8H Leo moon 6H Jupiter sag :)) 10H On my 3rd and 4th Jupiter returns the sheer amount of international travel I did grew – I love to travel, and all my career advancements have allowed me the ways and means to travel to many places. My natal Jupiter opposes Saturn – so I notice as I maintain discipline towards my education and fulfill my professional goals, Jupiter blesses me with long distance travel :))

  • Jupiter episode being uploaded right as I was thinking that I’m looking forward to the Jupiter episode and then by the end I realize that Rob Hand also is a Cancer Rising with Cancer Jupiter n Pisces MC with moon trine ascendant, gave me a bit of inspiration though aside from that there’s not much similarity 😉 But also I just love Sam Reynolds’s insight and have enjoyed following him on Twitter for similar reasons 💜

  • 13:00 Love this description of Jupiter associated with Mercy and Grace. I have Jupiter in Pisces ♓opposing my Sun.. I can vividly recall the moment I felt touched by Grace at an early age. It came with a recognition that I was ‘apart’ from my family. I should look into which year this occurred…over 45 years ago, born in ’62. And being in the 10th house, “Preparation meeting Opportunity” describes well how I have obtained employment. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a job by applying, but through word of mouth and being prepared for opportunities as they presented themselves. Most notably during its return to Pisces in 98/99 when, as an older graduating college student, with children, I was determined to be a ‘must hire’ by a company that I went on to work for, and comfortably provide for my children as a single parent for almost 15 years.

  • I enjoyed this one despite Jupiter being one of my least favorite planets, I was only drawn to it to differentiate between Jupiter and Neptune. Jupiter in cancer in the 11th and it’s my favorite (maybe only) planet to lovingly make fun of. Jupiter is my least favorite personal planet just because I think of prosperity gossip preachers when I read anything into it; I also realized having that placement would be why I’d have that reaction. Mars is another planet I don’t care for and my mars is libra so you’d expect that. My curiosity was pinpointing what causes synchronicities I’ve had and it’s definitely (by prior suspicion) Jupiter. Samuel actually described part of the general theme and by sign, Jupiter’s meaning, and placement; yes. I often refer to them as Campbell’s “follow your bliss” in that work is required to actually pinpoint what they mean and I can actually see the framework as to why chart wise. Another key is actually getting the answer to why vedic reads like that placement stating an age of 36 as when it becomes more “active” or “beneficial”; I can easily recall because I switched jobs/professions at 36 and had to constantly remind people I was 36, not 26. Synchronicities started when I decided to relocate to the west coast and viewed them as meaning NOT TO which makes sense because family members became severely ill where I had to leave employment to take care of them which is described as the path. Not just by Jupiter but Saturn. I can say I’ve been quite blessed since making that decision.

  • Damn, I’ve been waiting for this episode. 9th house Jupiter at 16° Pisces, trine my ascendant in Cancer, my ascendant ruler (moon—Scorpio), and Venus (my benefic in-sect, also Scorpio). Even though I don’t have a Jupiter ruled sun or ascendant, Jupiter still seems to dominate my chart. My fiancé also has a first house Jupiter retrograde in Gemini, and my Jupiter return in Pisces is coming up, so I’ve been thinking about Jupiter’s influence A LOT lately 😅

  • I forget from whom I learned this. But my understanding of Jupiter is that it indicates where we place our faith. And because we place our faith there, the matter in question grows. This can be a good or bad thing. If we had faith in drugs = drug addiction OR pharmaceutial researcher. If we had faith in food = overweight OR respected cook or chef. I have Jupiter in the 9th house locked in a stellium with Mars and Pluto all in Virgo. I put my faith in WRITING. And it has been an up and down struggle. Yet I can’t let it go. and I actually (at the moment) make my living doing it.

  • Exalted ♃ retrograde in ♋︎ in the 10th, 5° from the midheaven. Four planet stellium ♐︎ the 3rd including the ☉, ☽, and ♁. I did a very ♃ thing and majored in philosophy, but got a masters in social work. I’m definitely a caretaker doing mental health work as my profession. I suppose it’s fitting. I’m absolutely a systems thinker and have to contemplate the abstract of things to get the details.

  • Jupiter in Scorpio in the tenth house. I finally have a great job making really good money (subjectively) but I wouldn’t say this has exactly been a lucky placement career wise like it says it’s supposed to be. Possibly due to extreme family and relational issues and being a single mother with zero practical help in any way. But we’ve both made it!!! 😃😁

  • Sun ♏️1st, conjunct Mars, opposite Jupiter ♉️7th. Love the discussion around humility. I have been humbled in many ways through experiencing death and grief, professional and personal experiences and it’s interested that as a result I have also lost some of my otherwise innate sense of confidence (over – jupiter-ing?) or ability to be seen (although this is also related to other plantetary placements/aspexts…) There is something to integrate adn I’m not sure what yet!

  • I almost completely forgot about revisiting this episode which says how much I think of Jupiter. It’s another example of how much better these episodes are after understanding astrology better. I’m actually most of the way through the big little smalls minor aspect episode which is probably fitting here, actually. Jupiter cancer 11th quintile 0 and 2 degrees mars and Venus in libra semi sextile sun and Mercury 2 and 0 degrees. Zodiacal release, I may actually start caring about the Jupiter placement and finally settle the 2nd house libra (Venus. Mars. Pluto) thing. My, probably, mars in libra joke is I’ll bring up the twin flames ideology and just leave it knowing it’s often described in horrific relationships. But I actually refer to the “service to humanity” version. Saturn return is apparently when I reinstalled the plato ideology (where it originated and I don’t know how it got where it is now) but I my twist on it actually fits that model which coincidentally fits my 7th house description. Switching to whole signs I’m surprised many astrologers like these placements, others are welcome to live it if they want; but I may change my mind in the next 10 years. 7th in 11th, 11th in 6th Aquarius moon, Saturn in 1st. Because Ketu is in the 7th it has that detachment and I’ll say my immediate response after “honeymoon periods” are “now what?” That’s the tie to Jupiter and that configuration. To an actual topic on the show, I did look at a chart with a spirit ruled by a domicile Jupiter where the law of attraction philosophy made complete sense to them.

  • RastafarI love. Thanks for a great Podcast! I loved learning about Jupiter in the natal chart. I have Jupiter in Virgo in the 11th House! I’m also madly in love with a married Sagitarian born the same day as Bruce Lee and my father, on November 27! My first born, my Son was born on November 23! I used to be very afraid of Jupiter because it’s too huge! But, I learned that it was all has, and I felt better. I LOVE Jupiter, I think that he’s our bravest planet! Besides he corresponds to Zeus who is my favorite Greek God and for whom my great grandfather Ceus was named! Blessed love.#1804 #Ayiti

  • The skepticism commentary is interesting. I had a Sagittarius (sun) friend in high school who was absolutely insistent that luck wasn’t real. She’d get real passionate about how much she doesn’t believe in luck. She hated the concept of it. Almost a decade later and I wonder what her Jupiter placement was. To this day I want to know.

  • This conversation made me realize how unhappy my Jupiter placement is. He sits in my sixth house in Gemini and I’m definitely a night chart. Now I’m wondering if I’m all those awful descriptors lol. I like to think my 1st house Capricorn stellium with Saturn makes it hard for me to be lazy, but who knows lol. Jupiter shares the house with mars but they aren’t aspected as he’s at 9 degrees and Mars 29.

  • I was JUST going to ask about Jupiter in Virgo, As it is the midpoint of su/mo, ve/ma, pl/NN; 20Virgo Jupiter is closest aspect square Nep/MC 20 Sag. Pisces Asc, 7. SN 20 Aqu. There is something here, (of 1979/80 ish birth charts) as Pluto 20 Libra, Uranus 22 Sco., Chiron square nodes, oppose Uranus: collective connection as transit nodes contact these two., as Chiron holds a Yod Position between Neptune and Pluto. Tr Neptune traverse this Nep/Sag creating t square w/ Jupiter Virgo yet is applying conjunction to Saturn, (of 1979/80 ish birth charts) Bringing it into some connective piece with Mars and Saturn in a personal way, yet collective connective undertones as it may relate to karmic laws (?) just some thought patterns I’ve had … Excellent Talk, Really got me analyzing and processing, aka: Podcast Purpose : Achieved 👊🤓/ 😆😉✨TY!

  • Jupiter ruler in 12H ♐️ @27 deg rising along with other 4 stellium 2H ♐️ Mars, sun, neptune and Mercury all in 12H. Jupiter Taurus ♉️ 5H, Venus 1H venus Capricorn ♑️. I’m tall, have long legs, big 🦶 feet🤣 big hair (lots of hair and thick)and I’m a fast runner. I’m more action oriented person esp Mars holds lower degree than my sun by points both 3 deg in 12H♐️

  • Man, ok. I saw he had a sign based square between mars and saturn like me, and a mutual reception like me, but his is way better than mine, because his mars is dignified, mine is not and has a square with the mc. But mine are reversed. His is saturn in the second and mars in the 11th, that’s reverse to mine. Mine is saturn in scorpio in the eleventh, and mars in aquarius in the second (also a mutual reception). Man I have learned so much from you chris! Thanks for all your knowledge! I am thinking of taking your zodiacal releasing course.

  • really enjoyed this. my jupiter is in a stellium alongside saturn and pluto in libra in my 10th house. jupiter and saturn are conjunct, and less than a second apart, in the early degrees of libra. pluto wanted a little space and is closer to the end of the house. my sun and mars strongly oppose jupiter, as well.

  • Why doesn’t Jupiter do well in Libra? I think it fits well there because I don’t see how Venus could be about justice. Venus is going for harmony and balance but arriving at justice is not going to work if you focus on harmony, Justice is tough and you need to be able to deal with argumentation and conflict.

  • Leo Sun and Leo Acsendant ♌ conjunct Pluto.I have Jupiter in my 6th house opposite mars and Uranus I have Jupiter trine Venus I felt better Chris when you said Jupiter in a nice trine to Venus. I love listening to your Podcast I am learning about Astrology and you are a big help I love listening to Sam. Sam and Chris you are a good together the way you bounce of each other thank you both ❤♥😊

  • Sag rising with an out of bounds Jupiter in cancer (7th house in placidus and 8th in whole sign, trine Venus, sextile mercury and opposite Uranus). Any input on out of bounds Jupiter? So hard to find info on this as I understand it’s rare, but is it significant? My own experience is that I’ve been kind of freakishly lucky in so many various areas of life but haven’t really thought of the connection to privilege before which was really interesting. ♈️🌞♌️🌛

  • Funny you’re mentioning that time you talked with Diana Rose Haper about the things people may take for granted and assume that that’s the same for everybody. That made me remember one time me and my friends were at the beach and we were sort of talking about having insecurities with the body being at beach and I was the only who said that I never felt that way at all (and also that they shouldn’t feel that way), and yeah i have Jupiter conjunct my ascendant within 2° in Aries so, yup. Jupiter privilege right?! 😅 also it’s a day chart lol i just feel like i need to mention how positively Jupiter is placed in my chart because it’s actually the most harmonious thing about it, everything else is tense and challenging! Hahaha

  • A wonderful conversation, thanks so much for both of your insights and expertise on Jupiter. We have Jupiter in ♍ rx in the 9th house trine our 1st house ♑ stellium, and as we’ve been becoming more astrologically literate as we go through our 1st Saturn return have been trying to find the ways to resonate in the highest vibration with his energy, especially since he heads a asteroid stellium of his own on our natal chart in ♍ with Vesta, Psyche and other important points.

  • Did anyone else notice the article that came out 9/14/21 that an object hit Jupiter and was witnessed by observers looking at Jupiter?! I guess someone was filming the transit of Io’s shadows and captured a large object hit the planet! Sam mentions Arthur C Clarke’s book 2021 and Jupiter being set on fire in the plot?! Kind of an interesting coincidence hahaha!

  • 1) Re kabbalah – the Archangel associated with the sefira Chesed is Zadkiel….Tzedek is Hebrew for the planet Jupiter – and means Justice or Righteousness. From the same root we find the Hebrew word for giving charity – tzedekah 2) William Blake – Sagittarius – ‘my arrows of desire…and bow of burning gold’ – said ‘the paths of excess lead to the palace of wisdom’ ie you never know what is enough until you know what is more than enough. 3) Beethoven – Sagittarius – famous for his inspirational NINTH symphony, which includes the song Ode to Joy 4) Churchill -Sagittarius – famous for inspiring the British with hope against clearly impossible odds 5) Three musical Bobs – Dylan, Marley, Geldof – all Sagittarius rising. All Air sun signs (Gemini, Aquarius, Libra). They inspired their generation with almost guru-like charisma. Bob Dylan, BTW, is represented on top of Trondheim Cathedral, Norway, as Archangel Michael. Also became first songwriter to be given Nobel Prize. Marley is definitely treated as a saint by Rastafari adherents. Geldof got a British knighthood, 5) Finally: ruled by Jupiter = fishes and horses. Both, it is usually said, do not know when they have eaten enough…if their human owners leave plenty of food to last a few days fishes and horses will just eat everything until it is gone!

  • I don’t think astrologers can comment on the positive and negative aspects of a planet without a correct philosophical system in the background. To judge a planet as negative or positive you need to be viewing it through the lens of some standard. And if that standard is false how can an astrologer be judging accurately? A lot of these ‘negative’ aspects of Jupiter are misplaced.
