Shakespeare rejected the idea that stars dictated a person’s fate, stating that the fault lies not in our stars but in ourselves. This suggests that the author knew his own horoscope and didn’t want to feel bound by what it predicted. The modern planets round out Oxford’s chart and show its power, as they provided insight into the planets from Moon to Saturn. Smith’s interests aligned with Shakespeare’s, leading to the belief that his student, the Earl of Oxford, must be Shakespeare.
Smith’s student must have known about the new model of the heavens, which could have been easily read about in Copernicus’s book. Oxford would have heard about this from his tutor, Leonard Digges, and Leonard Digges’ experiments with telescopes. Learning about Copernicus before he knew anything about the old worldview would have no reason why Oxford would ignore it. If he was Shakespeare, he had an audience to please who were emotionally attached to the old worldview, as Copernicus threatened to hurl their worldview into deep space.

📹 The Secret Recipe for Real Love, According to Shakespeare w/ Christopher Renstrom
This is your Horoscope Highlight for the week of April 10-16, 2023 with world-class astrologer, historian, and author of The Cosmic …
I decided to elevate my Sunday afternoon ritual to meet the high standard of your talks so instead of my regular afternoon tea with Christopher, I make chai from scratch and now i feel its as decadent and rich as your talks. Wonderful, now I have to watch this play when i get a chance and can’t wait to take your course!
I had the privilege, many decades ago, of seeing Dame Maggie Smith play Rosalind at the Shakespeare Festival Theatre in Stratford, Ontario, Cda. She was marvelous! I think she was about 40 at the time, but sprang on the stage as if a lithe and sprightly 20 yr. old…gorgeous eyes! Fantastic actress. My favorite Shakespeare play.
Another wonderful Horoscope Highlights Christopher!!! I am so intrigued by this Shakespere Piece and thought I’m just going to see what Door Shakespere Garden Theatre here in the Thumb of Wisconsin is doing this year and low and behold, they’re doing As You Like It!!! YeeHaw!!! 🎉🎭💫 Can’t wait! It will be extra special being able to reference your delineation!!! 🥰
As a Gemini who loves seeing the complicated twists and turns of human interactions, and 😂socially imposed roles we can be blind to, I love how you tell this story. Nothing rarely is the way it appears to be. I can be a bad ass woman and sparkle Plenty. Thank you for sharing your brilliant wit, story telling depth and kind heart. ❤
My Venus is in Gemini and this was so much fun to hear! Really gave a sense of the archetype in a way that I have much more appreciation for now – thank you!! I am a Taurus Sun/Rising with a Pisces Moon and I love the playfulness my Venus in Gemini gives to my personality, which might otherwise be way to serious, stubborn and maudlin😊
Thank you, thank you, thank you dearest Christopher 🙏🙏🙏 for this wonderful lecture. Here in the Netherlands we have 2 Eastern days, so this is the second Eastern day here. And we’ve just had second Eastern day breakfast with you and thank you for joining us on this day. Have a great week end i’ll be here next week. 🐣♀♊❤
Loved the Shakespeare story. My Venus is 29* Gemini conjunct my Sun 26* Gemini in the 8th. I met my husband when I was 15, and immediately was head over heels in love. Well, it became clear he wasn’t ready, so instead I decided to be his friend. We hung out together for 4 years before the light bulb went off in his head, lol. We’ve been married for 32 years. He’s a Leo Sun, but his Venus is also in Gemini.
Here is another fabulous episode on Astrology, with Shakespeare’s love plot masterfully told by Christopher Renstrom!!👏👏 I love the story about Roselind giving Orlando advice on how to woo woman, as man to man. As a woman, I see it as a very empowering experience. I used to exchange love advice with my male friends 🤣 We often found value and new perspective in each other’s suggestions/comments. IMHO, falling love (esp. love at first sight) is based on illusion (associated with Neptune). It takes time and experience to really get to know someone. Often after knowing the actual person, one no longer feels falling in love anymore. Being Gemini Rising and Gemini moon, I totally understand this light-hearted and playful kind of love by Venus in Gemini. It is delightfully pleasant and free of complications and consequences. Thank you so much for the lovely fun story!!❤❤
Somewhere, I believe it was in the tracing of the goddess roots Venus to Aphrodite, I learned that Venus showed up on ancient Roman coins and it was here that (aside from the spectacular drama or tale that gave rise to the Goddess Aphrodite) I considered the benefic more fully. Venus is the only female allowed to hang with the big boys. I, (a girl) relate fully. It was unfortunate, I was born a girl, (or so I was informed). But, no….straight, gay, trans, whatever……we are all met to play our role and then it’s opposite…..but until we can embrace the opposite side, or do stint, a bit of time, ……in that position….can we know ourselves a little bit more fully. I love Meryl Streep in “Out of Africa” when she explains, how hard ‘war is on women’. Not because, of the worry, etc…it’s because we are put in a position to endure and not “do” anything…..but, a new stage is set, and women are a support, a cheerleader, fill in, in the factories. In, Meryl’s case, she finally gets to “do”, “be”, “fill that void” on the farm. The opposite for men is true, too. Christopher, I don’t know how you do it…..you make me think!!!! Venus, is a stage setter. I love Venus, and I love decorating, I love planning a party, hosting a party, more than the fun of a party…..I love getting ready for a date, more than the date…Venus inspired the Roman men to war….(It might be the same Venus in Gemini :). Brilliant, yet again Christopher!! Cheers and thank you for setting the stage for my week!
I can’t help ponder the sibling rivalry aspect you mentioned. I am a taurus, and My younger brother is a gemini ..hmmm..it is interesting and intense indeed…I hate to admit I always thought gemini was “two faced” and was changing depending on circumstances….this helped me embrace another notion of the concept of dialect or duality…
