Where is Rite in the Rain made?

Rite in the Rain, a product made in America for over a century, is an essential tool for preserving notes in harsh working conditions. Originating in the logging industry, Rite in the Rain has expanded to serve various industries worldwide. In 2002, it was awarded a GSA Contract, allowing US Federal Government agencies like the U. S. Military, The Forest Service, Fish and Wildlife, and National Parks to purchase Rite in the Rain directly. The company’s history began when Alec Polson, of the Polson Lumber Company of Washington, asked Jerry Darling to create a product that could withstand the elements and preserve notes.

Does Rite in the Rain work?

Rite in the Rain is a synthetic paper that offers a cost-effective solution for printing and writing in harsh conditions. It doesn’t collect static charges, preventing binding and jamming in machines. It also doesn’t melt in laser printers or photocopiers, preventing damage to fuser rollers. However, it’s not suitable for inkjet printers as water-based inks can wash off the paper. Rite in the Rain can be printed on both sides and can be recycled with standard office paper.

DuraCopy is a synthetic paper suitable for use in harsh conditions, ensuring the safety of dive logs, maps, and documents even underwater. It resists tearing, can be folded, cut, perforated, or hole punched, and doesn’t melt in machines.

What makes Rite in the Rain waterproof?

The Rite in the Rain notebooks use a “paper impregnation” process to force water-based protectants into the paper while it’s still in giant rolls. The recyclable paper remains soft but doesn’t tear even when wet. The pressurized cartridge in the bundled pen works even after being left in a freezer overnight. Although the Rite in the Rain books were damaged by setting one on fire, they could quickly change your opinion.

They’re already a go-to for field biologists and could develop a following among adventure journalists. If you ever draw a map to buried treasure, make sure it’s on one of these notebooks. The notebooks are worth $4 to $55 depending on the size, binding, and case.

Is the rain worth it?

Is the rain worth it?

The Rain is a survivalist drama that has been gaining popularity in recent years, with its exciting, unpredictable, and likable characters keeping viewers glued to the screen. The series starts off slow but develops into a thrilling addition to the dystopia television genre. The characters are engaging and genuinely likable, but the music is not very inspired or sustaining the image.

The show has plot holes large enough to drive or ship the entire GDP of the US, China, and EU combined. A virus is in the rain, which will kill you quickly if rain gets on you. The world walls of Scandinavia have a gate in the wall that only is manned by people on the diseased side. A company created it with some eye toward controlling the population, and some of the infected can control it and put out waves of dark particles that do stuff.

The acting is not bad, but not good enough. Effects are fine for TV, and sets are well-done with the right amount of decay/rot. However, the Rasmus character is bad and annoying, and the ending feels rushed and simplistic. The father’s character and his disappearance are simple and of small importance than it was made out to be.

In summary, The Rain is a thrilling addition to the dystopia television genre, with its characters, plot, and acting all being well-done. However, the music and characters can be challenging to follow, and the characters may not be suitable for children. Overall, The Rain is a must-watch for fans of survivalist dramas and dystopias.

  • Rite in the rain were geared toward the military as we had to take notes in all weather conditions and RIR products are sold on post/bases worldwide. If you want a retired soldiers perspective on this product, I will tell you. Use Staedtler Superfine German markers. It is the best of the best combination. It writes neatly on the paper and it sticks. FU.K sharpies! They are trash in comparison! Anyone who has been or is in the military will tell you that those pens and that paper will survive any field training mission and it will be done because it works the BEST! Ball point if you don’t have anything else but I’ve given you a challenge to try it my way then yours and see which is better.

  • Awesome review you answered most of my questions. I noticed that the “rite in the rain” pencils have a eraser/rubber on the end of the pencil. So I am assuming that the pencil marks can be erased/rubbed out. If pencil marks can be erased/rubbed out, will any normal rubber work or would I need a specific type of eraser/rubber? For example a normal pencil or pen eraser/rubber.
