Monkey dentures can be obtained by searching the stacked crates on the light brown floor inside the house south of the marketplace in Marim, the village on Ape Atoll. In the dungeon underneath this house, there is a m’amulet mould. A m’speak amulet is an item crafted during Monkey Madness I that allows the player to communicate with monkeys. It is later used in the Recipe for Disaster Awowogei subquest and Monkey Madness II.
To make a m’speak amulet, players must take Monkey dentures, an M’amulet mould, and a Gold bar to Zooknock, who will give the player an Enchanted bar (and the mould back). The bar must then be used on one of the monkeys.
In Monkey Madness, players must equip their M’speak amulet and talk to a monkey, which will jump in their bag. They must then travel back to the Grand and search the south-eastern crate for a hole. Climb down and go to a crate to the north-west, where they will find a monkey. The crate holding the monkey amulet moulds is located in the northwest corner of the dungeon underneath the house.
The monkeyspeak amulet is a members-only amulet that allows players to talk to monkeys (including pet monkeys) while wearing it. After Monkey Madness, the monkeyspeak amulet mould can be bought at Hamab’s Crafting Emporium for 10 coins. The mould is later used in the Do No Evil quest.
The m’speak amulet mould and dentures are located in and under the middle building, in the monkey village, on Ape Atoll.

📹 Monkey Madness- OSRS 2007 – Easy Old School Runescape Quest Guide
Ook ook dragon scimitar ook! This is an easy-to-follow tutorial on the Monkey Madness quest on Old School RuneScape. Thanks …
IMPORTANT UPDATE: Killing the monkey archer for monkey bones (26:30) will NO LONGER drop monkey bones, but rather small ninja monkey bones. I thought I could use them on Zooknock and it’d be the same but no. I went to the next step, equipped the greegree and it was a ninja monkey greegree. Now it’s back to the caves to get to Zooknock, and I used my last prayer potion dose (HCIM) last time so will have to pray flick lol. GET MONKEY BONES!
As far as RuneScape YouTubers go this girl is undoubtedly the best… I absolutely despise the vast majority of RuneScape players on YouTube. their ego arrogance and general all-around toxicity is something that’s almost unbearable.. thankfully none of those things are a problem here. she’s got a very sweet voice and lays everything out perfectly so it’s very easy to follow.. thank you for doing these articles and keep up the good work 🙂
I accidentally got the wrong bow and couldnt use arrows and had to wait then melee the boss and then forgot my own teleport at the end and take to take the gnome’s, HE TELEPORTED ME RIGHT INFRONT OF THE MONKEY GATE! i got knocked out and in jail then had to wait in jail for my home teleport to come back up while poisoned living on a few shark. Horrible customer service.
I always come back to see if you have a quest guide before anyone else, if not then slayermusiq. I love that you’re lighthearted, you are very thorough and one of my absolute favorite parts.. you tell us what is going on in the quest, so I can still get the story as I mash through the dialogue. Thanks, Snugglechick
I would like to thank you for simplifying every quest guide! I am going to do Monkey Madness tomorrow and I already used your the grand tree quest guide and you tree gnome village quest guide! I just watched through this once to see what im going to face tomorrow and I would like to thank you for making these guides!
I have been avoiding doing Monkey Madness for nearly a decade. I tried doing it once and got so frustrated with the monkeys in the jail that i vowed to never try again. But today i decided to finally give it another shot… and with your guide & one and a half hours later I had a Dragon Scimitar in my hand. This was a really great and clear guide. Not once did I have to go back or repeat anything. Thank you so much SnuggleQuest! You’ve earned my sub and my thanks.
I just started playing again a month ago. I’m lvl 80 so far. I remember doing this quest the first day it came out and it was so hard. It took me 20 hours I think😂👏 That was without a guide, without being able to talk to anybody who had done it. I’m sure its much easier with a guide. I hope at least. Today I’m gonna get it done. Also want to get the dragon defender too, or at least start that escapade.
Made one of the most daunting things i have come across on runescape seem like a piece of cake… Everyone was telling me not to do it, just grind to 70 attack for a whip it will be far quicker than doing that quest… Took me just under a hour and half with pausing etc. Didn’t put a foot wrong with your guide… and even grabbed some important stuff for another quest along the way. Perfect guide Thanks a lot 😀 New Sub
This was the longest and hardest quest I’ve done to date, and my main on Rs3 is lvl 134. I finally got back into osrs, and I just wanna thank you so much for making such an easy to follow, engaging and overall PERFECT guide for this insane quest, plus you had quirky lil comments about things so it was just more fun to listen to. Thanks!!
Hey Snuggs, just wanted to give you thanks, followed your guide for, tree gnome village, grand tree, elemental ws 1/2 Gertrudes cat, Icthlarin’s lil helper, nature spirit, lost city, waterfall Q, plague city, observatory and monkey madness. Had to use someone elses for fight arena but that was only short.. i’ll follow yours for fairy tale part 1 and 2. Just a shout out to let you know i HATE questing.. but you make it bare-able – your guides are mint.. Thanks 🙂
Oh god, this was such a longer quest than I expected. But fuck I did it, finished it all in one sitting, thanks to you being a calming and assuring voice to guide every step. I was too lazy and poor to train prayer, so I did it all without protection prayers, which wasn’t too hard, but ensures a lot of panicking and spam clicking food, especially with the demon hitting 25s really quick, and I never thought it would cost like 200k for all the food, stamina, energy, etc. potions, mystic robes, teleport tabs, it all adds up. Anyways, it feels really great having done this, especially having been playing OSRS for probably a couple weeks now after having quit RS for like 5 years. Now onto a 99, barrows, or another quest!
I thought I was going to buy the puzzle… but I actually did it myself thanks to you…. i’m seriously impressed! you are not only very helpful, but you’re really fun and funny to do quests with.. you are my #1 to go to “no.. last Saturday I was doing this quest guide…” LOL!!!! aww I love you for it hahahaa
thank you a lot! i actually died at the boss, so i ran back to ape atoll, just to get told to go back in the dungeon… i had about 1 minute left before i managed to retrieve my stuff… the worst part was that i accidently had my whole bank on me!!! so i was so stressed and lucky! thx, it took me a while!
LOL I didn’t realize he was poisonous going into the battle. Had to hop out and grab an antipoison… I mean I probably still would have survived off of food but just to be on the overly safe side. I see later in the battle part of the article you had added anti-poison, too. Where was my heads up, lady?! lmao. Nah, great tutorial chica. I love them!!! 😀
you’re the best best best best best best best best best best best. If fate were kinder, you would have a quest guide for every single quest in RuneScape. And also advanced music / article production tutorials (that is perfect world level) Anyway – Thank you so much for guiding me through this quest. What was hilarious is that I thought the reward for this quest WAS the dragon scimitar since so many people referenced it in regards to this quest. I already had 60 attack lol. I was like.. Do I want to just buy it or do I want to EARN IT. Well…. the extra EXP was very welcomed at least, heh.
Thanks for the tutorial!!! So awesome, finaly I can wield a dragon scim 😀 Nevertheless, I think it was not showed in the article that you have to gather specifically the KARAMJA monkey bones because you need to be transformed into brown colour monkey. Again, thanks alot for this tutorial! Honestly I couldn’t do it by myself
your quest guides are good but the most important parts of the quests you kinda skipped instead of guiding us through you wanted to add RFD quest requirements too and that was awesome, but the different bones we collected were not addressed at all, by all means i am only pointing it out cause i found out the hard way myself So for those who might look up this guide here’s what you need to do Kill a normal monkey for the GreeGree to complete monkey madness quest, its all you need IN CASE you cannot get bones from the normal monkeys (outside the temple and archers) and you only get Monkey Corpse,is because of Tai Bwo Wannai Trio quest required to make a sandwitch,so you can use the corpse for bones ! I hope i made it clear enough!
