The zodiac birth chart, resembling a clock, moves every two hours, with the rising sign representing the part of the sky at the nine o’clock point when a person is born. This is because the nine o’clock point represents the eastern horizon, where the sun rises. The rising, sun, and moon signs work together to describe one’s core, how others see them, and how they feel about oneself. The rising sign can tint a person’s color, making them blue if their sun sign makes them blue.

The full chart is essential for understanding the planets’ roles, as Mercury rules communication, Venus and Mars are love and sex, and each planet plays a unique role. As one learns more about astrology, the angles between all the planets and their interactions create a cosmic chorus.

What is the symbol of Justice in Libra?

Libra is the seventh astrological sign in the zodiac, representing the scales and ruling planet Venus and Taurus. It spans 180°–210° celestial longitude and transits the Sun between September 23 and October 23. The scales are based on Themis, the Greek personification of divine law and custom, who inspired modern depictions of Lady Justice. Libra is the only zodiac sign represented by an object, while the other eleven are represented by animals or mythological characters. It is the cardinal modality of the three air signs, Gemini and Aquarius.

Libra is associated with the Roman deity Iustitia and Roman judges were born under the sign. The Moon was said to be in Libra when Rome was founded, and everything was balanced under this righteous sign. Manilius once said that Libra was the sign “in which the seasons are balanced”, and both the hours of the day and the hours of the night match each other, hence the September equinox.

In ancient Greek times, Libra was ruled over by the constellation of Scorpio, which was called “chelae” in Latin, meaning “the claws”. This can help identify the individual stars that make up the full constellation of Libra, as it was closely associated with the Scorpion constellation in the sky.

Is the Justice tarot card Libra?

Justice card is traditionally associated with Venus and Libra zodiac sign in astrology. However, the Rider-Waite-Smith deck changed the position of Justice and Strength to align with the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn’s astrological correspondences. • I’m a Libra rising and I excel in de-escalating most situations. That to me is a super power! 🌟I also love being told that I feel like “Peace” to be around. My nature often creates peace within others in which of course I love, because it’s brings about a calm environment in which I need to thrive ❤️love your articles keep ‘em coming!

  • I’m a Leo Sun and Libra Rising and this is soooo true, it really gets in me pleasing people but i know how to managed it and balance if needed especially if i can feel that they might abuse my kindness to them (if that makes sense), i love peace and im always the mediator hehe thank you for this article

  • I’m a Taurus, libra rising. The reason I k own this is because I met an astrologer that I helped and promoted. My daughter told me to research my rising sign to make sure I’m fulfilling my life. Wow everything makes sense now 😊😊 and your really good at your explanation. As a Taurus, or just me I want to know the truth; glad you spoke about negative traits .

  • Thank you so much! I feel like there’s a lot of zodiac websites out there that aren’t as eloquent and compassionate in the way they explain the strengths and weaknesses of the zodiacs I was getting scarred by a few random articles I clicked on- specifically “the moon in Virgo” ones – lol. Fellow Libra rising here, and I’m so grateful to have found your website!!

  • I’m Libra rising, northnode, and Pluto. But I have Aries moon. The Libra aspects had me people pleasing and tuning out my feelings most of my life… But that Aries moon and southnode be flaring up. It makes me crazy sometimes… wanting to be peaceful and polite while having that fire to pop off. I have Venus in Gemini with Jupiter and Lilith in the 9th house. I need to look more into how that affects the Libra rising. Thanks for your article!

  • I’m a Leo sun, Scorpio moon, Libra Rising. My Venus is in Gemini 8H. I’m not a typical Leo. I like fun but balance. No drama. Not much attention. I’m a peace maker. Most of my friends/family love that trait about me. But some feel like I should choose their sides but I like balance. I’m on the right side. I like to get ppl to see the other persons point of view. Other than that I def put others first but I think my Leo sun helps me to not forget about taking care of myself as well although I feel guilty when I do.

  • Yes and no. I have Libra rising @ 27 degrees, and a Libra stellium (Sappho, Saturn, Mars, Pluto) but the Mars and Pluto in the first house really gives me Scorpio rising energy and most of the times I read my horoscope for Scorpio and it’s spot on. I learned how to stand up for myself and it’s made such a difference. I have Venus Aqua in the 5th house and Eros in Taurus 8th house.

  • ☀️ ♑️ ♉️ 🌚 ♎️ ⬆️ and Venus in ♒️ / ENTJ Very logical, practical, intuitive and think things through, nothing close to impulsive behavior, I’m too lazy to argue with people, perhaps my Taurus moon? Lol 😂 I’m too lazy to argue out disagreements because I already know how they’ll go so I don’t even waste my energy on getting upset, I don’t need to win, if we don’t come to an agreement I always just say hey that’s okay, agree to disagree and move on. I get over things fast! I never anxiety and like a scientist I often wonder what people go through when they experience high anxiety or depression. It’s easy for me not to think about negative thinking, I’m very forward thinking. But yes I do work on being present as well and calming the mind nonetheless…of anything.

  • Leo sun Leo moon and Libra rising. And ill tell you what Leo and Libra together is a no go. So logical but man are my emotions dramatic. I think logically but I’m very much attached to MT emotions. A lot of the times I think it might be pride or both, o wish I could be the ultimate Libra rising😂 Anxiety got me fucked up

  • Scorpio sun 🌞 Pisces moon 🌙 Libra rising ⬆️ I struggle a lot emotionally. Clearly. The arrangement I have, it’s not easy to surf. I’m still in the process of trying to appreciate and understand the challenges of being my own individual self. To be completely honest I feel like I’m dying everyday. But hey. I thought, at least I got one air sign in there hopefully I’m sure I can find a way to get afloat the other 2 water signs drowning me out. 💀

  • My dad aether is a Libra ASC and Gemini sun and lately he’s been feeling off. I really want him to be happy, but due to the people pleasing, this lead him to feel unappreciated by others. He says he is fine, but I know he’s deeply affected by that and I want to do something for him so he feels appreciated. He knows I love him deeply and would do a lot for him, but I want to do something which would help him feel that he’s enough and he doesn’t need anyone to appreciate them from outside. Any ideas?

  • So I have a libra rising (not using whole) but its at 28 degrees and pluto is in the first house in scorpio…..does that change a lot of things ? Someone told me I was technically a scorpio rising…im not sure about this?? An astrolger who was just starting off, her mentor told her this ?Would you be able to help me understand this, thanks !

  • I’m thinking the guy I mentioned in the Cancer rising article is a Libra rising. If he and I ever reconnect, that’s something I want to find out. Two of his last relationships were Aquarius and I’m Pisces cusp Aquarius. As I listen to this, I’m thinking he’s a Libra (Venus in Virgo) with fear of commitment (Scorpio moon drama). Really unfortunate. People pleasing + fear of conflict + codependent + natural leader… yeah, he’s a Lib rising. He’s done some shadey shit though. That’s the only part of this description that doesn’t match his rising sign. Could that be his moon in Scorpio? Really unfortunate.

  • Im Aquarius ♒️ sun ☀️, Aries ♈️ moon 🌚, and Libra ♎️ rising 🌅. I’m so confused cause I had straight D’s in high school, And it be saying I’m so smart 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I was in special Ed all my life. Then all of A sudden everything jus hit me like A light 💡, Nobody really taught me how to write ✍️ or anything in school, Everybody even the teachers thought I was too cool. That could be the Aquarius ♒️ in me though 🤣🤣
