The movie industry often struggles with showing vs. telling, and the four Houses in Harry Potter play a crucial role in the story. Ravenclaw is a clear winner, known for their witty, fun, secretive, dark, empathic, and wise nature. This article delves into the heart of each house, exploring what makes them special and stirring up the timeless debate: which Hogwarts house is truly the best?
Upon arrival at Hogwarts, one must determine whether they belong to Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, or Slytherin. Each house has powerful wizards and witches, but Gryffindor and Slytherin have the largest number of very powerful wizards and witches. Gryffindor is the main Hogwarts House throughout the Harry Potter movies, as it’s the focus of Harry’s time at Hogwarts.
Hufflepuff is stereotyped as a house for pushovers, and Gryffindors are often suited to other Gryffindors or Hufflepuffs. They excel in aggressive forms of magic, like offensive and defensive spells, and are good at dueling. However, a true Gryffindor knows that the Sorting Hat divides the Houses up by personality: the brave, the loyal, the wise, and the cunning.
In conclusion, the debate surrounding the best Hogwarts house is a complex one, with each house having its own unique traits and characteristics. It is essential to understand the differences between the Houses and choose the one that best suits you.

Even when I haven’t watched Harry Potter, when I saw articles like dresses for each houses, I’ve always been attracted to Ravenclaw ones. In my opinion, if personified, Slytherin would be that sassy, evil but savage and classy in a group of friends, they’d provoke you. Gryffindor would be mc type, not easily provoked, but if they do, would hundred percent land the first blow. Hufflepuff would be the bubbly, gets in between if there’s a fight among their friends, but can’t do anything to stop them and ends up getting pushed back. And ravenclaw is like the older sister type that would stop the fight. Would hundred percent, give them a scolding. Ps. It’s just my opinion, if I’m wrong then I’m wrong
I really did not want Slytherin, but luckily I got Gryffindor!😅 Thank goodness because Gryffindor is my favorite house and I also took a test the other day on what Harry Potter character are you and it showed me as Harry Potter! 🎉😂❤ At that moment I was relieved and excited about that, so I am 100% a Gryffindor! I would have also gladly taken Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff, but I am still really happy I got Gryffindor!
210! Ravenclaw! This test tho, you made it kind of obvious in ways: -what house we are in doesn’t depend on if we like the house animal the most -I like green and gray, but am a proud ravenclaw -I would fit into a popular friend group, just because I’m smart doesn’t mean I have to be in a smart friend group, I actually like to be with people who excel at other things -over all the quiz was pretty good tho, great job! 👏☺️
In every other test, I’ve been a Hufflepuff, but in this one, I was Ravenclaw. And I think I’d be more of a Hufflepuff, since I am quite kind and loyal. But I haven’t done the Pottermore test, so I guess that will have to be the deciding factor. EDIT: I got ravenclaw on de Pottermore/Wizarding World test, and I feel very divided between the houses. My heart says Hufflepuff, but my mind says Ravenclaw.
1. Friendship. 10 2. Smart. 20 3. Cat. 30 4. Whatever, I don’t care. 10. 5. Blue and black. 20. 6. A fun job! I hate boredom. 30. 7. I would fight him! 30. 8. I’d heal, even though I am an inexperienced wizard. 30. 9. I’ve never done this. 10. 10. I don’t know. 0. Points in total: 180. So.. i AM a ravenclaw? hm. i like to think i’m hufflepuff AND ravenclaw, like harry was slytherin and gryffindor, he just chose gryffindor. I would choose ravenclaw.
1. Knowledge = 30 2. Loyal = 10 3. Bird = 20 4. Smart Friends = 20 5. Red and yellow = 30 6 Aa job that involves ancient history = 20 7. Fight him = 30 8. I would heal even though I am an inexperienced wizard = 30 9. No this is not funny = 20 10. Anyone but slytherin = 30 HOUSE IS ———>>>>>>> I guess I have ravenclaw 215? I think quiz help me I don’t know how many I have
A toss-up between ravenclaw and slytherin. I’ve valued analytical and imaginative mindset the most that focused on logic and careful planning while also debating pros and cons in planning strategy. Had no problem in gryffindor or hufflepuff but sadly their characteristic deeply clashed to mine. Everyrime I test myself,it ends either ravenclaw or slytherin. I’m all for self-preservation and careful planning and consideration hence I doubt I’d even have bravery to my bone unless it can be use to different advantage or benefits.
i love all houses, ive taken tons of tests and mostly gotten gryffindor (this one i got ravenclaw) but i feel like i belong more in ravenclaw. i did take a test 2 years ago and got hufflepuff but it doesnt quite fit. i have nothing wrong with slytherin, i think its really cool but im just never prideful or cunning in the slightest
