Custom scent studios offer the opportunity to create personalized fragrance blends, but you can also create your own blend by layering different aromas and products in different parts of your home. You can create essential oil-scented bath salts, lavender sachets, infuse bar soap with delicate florals, make candles, and use indoor plants for a bright, clean fragrance. Natural scents of flowers and foliage are soothing and subtle crowd-pleasers, so plant fragrant flowers like roses, gardenias, lilacs, and freesias in your garden and arrange aromatic bouquets in each room.
Hang eucalyptus in your shower, add a vase of lavender to your office, and make your own dried, scented potpourri from foraged petals. Dried florals can be spritzed and the scent will hold for a few days. Adding fresh air to the mix is also important, as cracking windows and hanging bed sheets to dry on sunny or windy days can help flush out stale air and lingering odors.

📹 Navigating Home Scents! How to Scent Your Space
Today we’re talking everything around scenting your space. It’s a part of wellness for me, so therefore I thought I’d share some of …
If you like the look of fornasetti candles, Chase and Wonder candles have a similar aesthetic. My favourite way to fragrance our home is with scented candles, electric diffuser (I love the muji one) and candle burner which I use for aromatherapy oils and wax melts. My favourite candles used to be the Space NK ones when they used to sell candles other than the Christmas editions (I’ve still got one I’m saving from years ago). My other favourite is The White Company candles and burner oils. Pomegranate is a definite favourite, but I’m about to crack open their new candle called Oakmoss. Any edt or edp that is not longlasting enough to wear on skin I tend to use as a pillow spray. Body spray I’m not too keen on gets used as spray for trainers in between washes (the amount of alcohol is good for killing germs too).
I’ve always wanted those Fornasetti candles…I love the way they look. I’m addicted to candles like I am perfume. I love DW Home Candles too especially the Wild Honey one. I love the LES and Cameo candles from Boy Smells (they have a lot of good ones though). I also really like Roen Candles. The 29 Palms and Botanica scents are my favorites. I use a lot of reed diffusers too…love Black Orchid by Aquiesse and Coco Coco by Coqui Coqui. I use a ton of incense and palo santo. I need that burner. For travel, I like burning papers…Papier d’Armenie. Well anyways, thanks buddy!!
Oh yes, a home fragrance article! Thank you for all these beautiful ideas! This has been on my mind, as perfumes have increasingly become my home scents, instead of nothing. Sensory overload is me, big time, so sometimes a fragrance emanating from my arm or legs is too intense, or it doesn’t fit the mood 100% – it diffusing itself from 3m away throughout a room is just right. Or just passing through a happy Anna Sui hallway now and then. The straight up & less than elegant way of choice has been spraying on labelled napkin strips, placed on heaters if on. ^^ I do have an essential oil diffuser (but, hi allergies, EOs can be so risky..), if I’m ok with the intensitiy I add perfume to the water, instead of oils.
Insightful article as always! I purchased La Promeneuse bc of my love for Trvdon Candles. My favorite candle is Ottoman and my favorite wax cameo is Atria, which I believe you can purchase as a candle too. I am going to look into some of the others that you mentioned. Thanks again!! Btw…I had no idea you were a mom too ❤️
Just perusal the article put me in a nice calming space after a long stressful week, thank you! I haven’t gotten into high end candles as I spend too much on perfume BUT my goal is to get some Trvdon after finally smelling them in a store this summer. OMG. I have to say the Trvdon perfumes are not as good as the candles. I like a good burning incense stick, cone, or palo santo. Lately burning these Paine’s Balsam Fir sticks that I think are just piney wood chips.
