Why Do Plague Of Spells Cost So Much Money?

The novel “Plague of Spells” by Bruce Cordell takes place after the Spellplague, a disaster that struck Realmspace and even planes on the date of 1385 to 1396. It follows the Shou monk Raidon Kane, Japheth Donard, and Anusha Marhana, who survive the Year of Blue Fire. The Spellplague, also known as the Blue Breath of Change by the inhabitants of Abeir, was a potent direct agent of change that set off a string of secondary catastrophes.

The novel explores the changed face of Faerûn and provides a better opportunity to explore the changed face of Faerun. The Spellplague, also known as the Blue Breath of Change, was a potent direct agent of change that left the twisted and mutilated dead in its wake. However, a few survivors, known as the plaguechanged, survived death and suffered some.

The novel also explores the concept of Fey Pact warlocks, which are items that stored spells that still function if they were created before the plague. The novel focuses on the consequences of the Spellplague, rather than just its direct effects.

In Plague of Spells, the story is set in the years 1385 to 1396, with the main characters being Raidon Kane, Japheth Donard, and Anusha Marhana. The novel is more expensive than other Black Series 3.75 inch figures, and can only be found on eBay, most of which are likely fakes from the original Black Series.

Did Karsus cause the Spellplague?

The Spellplague, a chaotic and magical disease, emerged after the events of Karusus’ Folly, where magic was disrupted by Mystryl’s death and The Weave’s unraveling. It affects creatures of all kinds, from angels to demons and humanoids, distorting their physical and mental states. As they become more hungry for magic, they wander the world in search of creatures to drain their magic from. Only deities, gods, titans, and great old ones are safe from infection.

The disease is transmitted through exposure from spellplagued creatures, with the likelihood of infection varying depending on the creature’s innate magic. Mages with abundant magic are safer from infection, but they are more targeted by the magic hungry Spellplagued. When attacked by a Spellplagued, a creature must make a Saving Throw DC 15 or become infected, depending on their ability to cast spells.

What is the Spellplague D&D?

The Spellplague, a calamity that began on 29 Tarsakh 1385 DR, was caused by the assassination of Mystra, the goddess of magic, by the gods Cyric and Shar. This event occurred around 32, 000 years ago during the Tearfall, when the batrachi, the amphiboid creator race, lost a war against the titans. The gods, recognizing the destruction, began engaging their ancient foes, leading to the creation of the Sea of Fallen Stars.

Ao the Overgod intervened, splitting the world in two, granting the world of Toril to the gods and the world of Abeir to the primordials. Ao created the Tablets of Fate to secure the laws of Realmspace and maintain balance between Law and Chaos, gods and primordials.

However, at the end of the Time of Troubles in 1358 DR, Ao destroyed the Tablets, forcing the gods to focus on their mortal followers and worshippers. This weakening of the laws of Realmspace coincided with Abeir’s closer planar synchronization with Toril. When adventurers returned the Tablets of Fate to Ao in 1358 DR, two of them were rewarded with apotheosis: the wizard Midnight became the new goddess of magic, taking the name Mystra, and the mercenary Cyric took the portfolios of Bane, Bhaal, and Myrkul. Although he lost the portfolio of death to Kelemvor in 1368 DR, Cyric remained a powerful god with grand ambitions of ruling all of Realmspace.

Is Plague Inc dead?

Plague Inc. is a real-time strategy simulation video game developed by UK-based independent video game studio Ndemic Creations. Inspired by the 2011 film Contagion and the 2008 Adobe Flash game Pandemic 2, the game involves players creating and evolving a pathogen to annihilate the human population with a deadly pandemic. The game uses an epidemic model with complex and realistic variables to simulate the spread and severity of the plague. It was released on 26 May 2012 for iOS, 4 October 2012 for Android, and 13 May 2015 for Windows Phone.

The Steam and console version, Plague Inc: Evolved, includes adjustments and additions to the gameplay. As of May 2021, the game has been downloaded over 160 million times and was a runner-up in the IGN Game of the Year 2012 awards for ‘Overall Best Strategy Game’.

Why is Plague Inc. no longer free?

Plague Inc: The Cure, their biggest expansion, was initially free due to the pandemic and the need to inform people. However, they now offer it for free until July 1st, providing ample notice for players to try it out. The game is also available for purchase on Steam and console, ensuring that players own it forever. The company appreciates the trial and hopes to support future projects. The free trial period is a great opportunity to try the game before it goes on sale.

Is Cyric still a god?

In the 4th edition of Dungeons and Dragons, Cyric returns as a major deity, a Greater God of strife and lies. He was imprisoned by Tyr, Lathander, and Sune for his murder of Mystra. His rantings are recorded in The Cyrinishad, a book of ever-changing text that drives readers mad. His murder is documented in James Lowder’s “Prince of Lies” and Troy Denning’s “Cructure: The Trial of Cyric the Mad”.

Why did Karsus fail?

Why did Karsus fail?

Karsus, a deity of magic, failed to regulate the flow of magic, leading to a surge in the world’s magic. Mystryl sacrificed herself to block Karsus’s access to the Weave, causing all magic to fail and the flying cities of Netheril to plummet to earth. Karsus’s Folly, a catastrophe, resulted in his death and transformation into stone, causing the destruction of his civilization. His stone form landed in the Dire Wood, and the city of Karse was built around its base.

Karsus was never accepted as a petitioner by any god and was bound to the Material Plane. His vestige, a giant blood-red boulder, appeared in the High Forest where his petrified form landed. Blood burbled up from the top of the stone, trickling down the side facing the summoner and pooling at the base. When he spoke, the pool fountained upwards, granting the summoner a boost in magical ability and imparting some of his arrogance.

Karsus held a small cult of worshipers who venerated the “momentary god”, mostly based at Karse until its abandonment.

Why is Plague Inc so expensive?

Plague Inc: Evolved is a premium game that includes all paid expansion packs from the last four years, future content updates, and new features for PC, Mac, and Linux. The price point of $14. 99 is considered fair, reflecting the value of the additional features without being significantly more expensive than Plague Inc. on mobile. The game is currently available in multiple languages and is currently available in English, French, German, Russian, Spanish, Italian, Korean, Portuguese, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Norwegian, Polish, and Turkish.

How many times has Mystra died?

Mystra, a character who has been killed on three occasions, has consistently manifested in a slightly altered form upon each resurrection. She was killed by Karsus the Netherese Wizard, who made the ultimate sacrifice to prevent his destruction of the Weave.

Is Plague Inc evil?

The Protagonist, also known as the Player, is the villainous main protagonist of Plague Inc., aiming to create a plague to infect the world and kill or enslave every human being. The game suggests the player is behind the plague via 4th wall breaks, but this would technically give a real-life person a moral ranking, making it impossible to morally scale them. Additionally, the protagonist might not be a character, but rather the plague itself or a supernatural force controlling it, making it impossible to scale.

Which God killed Mystra?

The Forgotten Realms Campaign Guide states that Mystra, a goddess of magic, was murdered by Cyric, leading to the Spellplague, which caused significant changes in Toril’s world between editions. The Second Sundering mechanic was used to transition the game from 4th to 5th Edition, undoing the effects of the Spellplague and restoring the world to its pre-Spellplague state. Mystra is also listed as the goddess of magic in the Player’s Handbook and the Sword Coast Adventurer’s Guide, providing information on her worship and connection to magic and the Weave.

  • There are so many errors in this, including: Confusion about white wine being created from white grapes and red wine being created with red grapes. Champagne is typically made from 3 grape varieties Pinot Noir (Red), Pinot Meunier (Red), and Chardonnay (White). Red wine is made by leaving the dark skins of the grape in contact with the wine as it is made. (No contact results in white wine, short contact results in rosé, and longer contact results in red wine). The colour of grape juice is not determined by the colour of the skin. Wine from the previous year is not always added to champagne. Champagne houses regularly use wine from many years to replicate a signature taste. Champagne that comes from a single year of production is considered to be vintage thus it will have a year on the label… non-vintage will not have a date on it. The term “vintage” does not mean “old” in the wine industry. (vintage clothing, or vintage records, or vintage dolls etc. means old) Only about 5% of champagne is vintage. Champagne bottles are not stored horizontally during the manufacturing process, they are always stored with the cork down to allow sediment (aka “lees”) to settle in the neck of the bottle. The neck of the bottle is then frozen, the bottle is opened, the lees are removed, and the bottle is topped up with older wine (and some sugar to help secondary fermentation), known as “le dosage”. This is most important distinction between conventional wine and Méthode Champenoise. etc.

  • a lot of the price has to do with marketing. The known brands are indeed very expensive. If you visit the region however you can go to the local producers and buy excellent champagne for less than half the price of a bottle of Moet & Chandon or Veuve Clicquot. Same logic applies to cognac. just skip the big brand names and you’ll be surprised on what you can find.

  • I drank a $5 bottle Andes and $198 bottle of Dom Perignon and the bottle of Andes tasted much better. A local wine bar did a champagne blind taste test and $10 bottle of Cooks was the top voted champagne/sparking wine over bottles that cost up to $500 (at the restaurant/bar, probably less retail). Cheaper champagnes/sparkling wine is much sweeter than aged dry champagnes!

  • Same with Bourbon whiskey in Kentucky and Ham curing techniques in Virginia. These products are why Kentucky and Virginia are technically “commonwealths”, not “states”. Along with the Derby horse race, Kentucky can license out its name because of the exclusivity of Bourbon whiskey. Likewise VA can brand Smithfield and Virginia Ham. Pepsi-Co took Kentucky out of the name when they acquired Kentucky Fried Chicken so they wouldn’t have to pay commonwealth dues or create a satellite office for KFC in Kentucky.

  • Yeah same with diamonds you should explain on why they’re quote rare unless if you did that already then I haven’t seen it but the reason why I said this is because I’m tired of people saying oh look at me I have Diamond that slapped on in that they’re not that special I was to get a ring it would be something worth value then just a rock that was being crushed for a long time turn into something shiny and not rare also we can make diamonds not fake diamonds they sell you at the dollar store but diamonds that were manufactured in a factory made with different chemicals to make a diamond fun fact

  • I feel personally attacked, I may be a peasant but for that I am so greatful because that means I am not an elete who is currently distroying freedom world wide. If they win we can all kiss the ability/freedom to pay top dollar for good liquor. I couldn’t be more glad I am not an elete who can afford at $80,000 bottle of alcohol just to give it away to someone you don’t even like… Cough cough looking at you Tim P💩💩l

  • No it does seem crazy, because while that bottle is stored away and sits in a basement maybe turned every now and then, a Rolls is worked on the entire time with a lot more labor cost from manufacturing each part to assembly and ultimately delivering the vehicle ..how hard is it to serve a bottle to a customer?? Give me a break ..this is a ridiculous product for pretentious people ..
