Astrology can provide insight into the types of people men and women are attracted to. Women find versatility, liveliness, and playfulness attractive in men, while rigid or boring types are not. A woman’s Mars is in Pisces, and a Cancer man is looking for his one true love, while a Gemini woman seeks a man to make her his girl.
The zodiac signs are the foundation for understanding people and resolving conflicts. Each sign’s compatibility depends on the element and modality, and understanding these signs can help navigate obstacles. Women are slightly more likely to believe in astrology than men, but there are no significant differences between sexes.
The date of birth of women describes their desires about men, with Cancer being emotional lovers and Pisces being hopeless romantics who fall in love at first sight. Capricorn women are generally attracted to competent men, well-established business types, or accomplished men. They may also be attracted to “outdoorsy”, athletic, or adventurous types and women who are foreign to them by race, religion, or country of origin.
The planets in your birth chart can tell you about who will be attractive to you in a traditional sense and inspire your love and passion. For example, a Libran man is balanced, organized, and calm, while a Sun sign person is attracted to independent, free, and adventurous women.
In conclusion, astrology can provide valuable insights into the types of people men and women are attracted to, and understanding these signs can help individuals find the right soulmate for their unique needs and preferences.

📹 Why Are More Women Into Astrology Than Men?
A discussion between astrologers Lisa Ardere and Chris Brennan about why there seem to be more women who are interested in …
One reason millennials and younger might be more interested is that we grew up with our pop culture being heavily based in amazing magical fantasy worlds. A lot of us literally grew up with Harry Potter. I was reading the books in elementary school and the last movie was released the summer I graduated from high school. I still remember the kids whose parents wouldn’t let them read it because it was “magic” and “Satan this and Satan that.” Now my oldest son’s teacher was reading it to them in first grade. A lot of us wanted the worlds to be real so badly, and I think it just generally made many of us more open and receptive to the real-world versions. Plus, we have the internet where we can easily research topics and meet communities we might not have otherwise.
When I started attending astrology meetings and conferences 12 years ago, there was definitely significantly more women in attendance in general; however, I think that that’s a small and niche sample size of the people who are very interested in astrology. In general in recent years I have noticed a huge increase in the number of people who are interested in astrology across the board of gender, race, class and age, I have even seen a very large increase in very young people, teens and kids, interested in astrology. My mother (71 yo astrologer) would say that women have easier access to both sides of their brain and understanding astrology takes the application of both hemispheres of the brain which is why more women “can get it” and thereby get into it as a subject. She did experience a lot of male dissing astrology as “a chic thing”, in her day, and that’s what I saw her rebut that with. But again, I see more modern people evolving to embrace astrology from every identification.
Missed points. Post 9/11 the frustrations with the religious right influence and control of governments and society boiled over lead by much of the scientific and philosophical community which I can say played a part in my generation not being that into astrology. Generation being late gen x and early millennial. Perfect for a nomadic lost Gen to not have a generation name. Just to say as something to watch for, you could argue Hellenistic astrology being brought back to the forefront is somewhat misogynistic if you begin looking through that lens which isn’t true, but often going down a rabbit hole creates tunnel vision. I often suggest Gabor Mate interviews as an example despite personally liking him; he just has an limited scope of only seeing addiction that’s intensely reductionist. Me being ridiculously contrary… I enjoy the Leo hate so I’ll point out I just noticed the 1st two zodiac signs on the logo are scorpio and Aquarius.. man, that chart ego.. nah, a Leo may say to not worry or care about acceptance and to just be confident and not tolerating toxic attitudes. What is astrology? It’s just a study of if we live in simulated universe with limited free will which is where science is headed, and someone opposed to astrology argues against that you can just point out the matrix illusion we may be living in a article game which is the scientific angle it’s moving towards. With Leo, it’s just either trying to set aside personal biases used negatively OR just being open about it humorously which I prefer.
I have found men are more likely to study alone & try self employment; women incorporate it with other therapies. Personally, I know more practicing male Astrologers, than female, but definitely more females at workshops/ retreats etc. Went a bit off topic at the end tho.. Astrologers charge fees; not everyone can afford it no matter their sex/gender or skin colour!
After listening to this conversation I felt compelled to refer to C.E.O. Carter’s, “An Encyclopedia of Psychological Astrology”, and look up astrology. It seemed like a logical way for an astrologer to address the subject. Yes, it’s an old classic, but a good study and it’s proven true for so many folks I’ve known, as well as myself. Time passes, planets move, events change, but some points remain true. Perhaps it’s worth consideration.
Political cringe aside (lol), more women are probably into casual astrology because, like you say, the women’s magazines etc. But I think the gender gap closes the more advanced/technical you get. I’d also hazard a guess there’s more traditional male astrologers due to the demographics I’ve seen on some forums. This probably reflects a similar kind of dynamics you see in occult practice, i.e. you’d probably get more women who identify as spiritual and more who practice things like wicca, but then it would start to heavily skew towards mostly male with things like hermeticism, thelema etc.
This debate of “gender” is always so interesting. Masculine and feminine not only live within every human but transcends humans beliefs and ideas. Masculine energy is up and out energetically and feminine energy is down and in. That’s why it is an anatomical correspondence. Anyone is open to being whatever they desire but on some level I feel people are attempting to tear down a natural law that has been distorted by humans. Just throwing an objective viewpoint. I love all the changes that are occurring and can’t wait to learn more about “SJW” and “cis” ideas as I am quite ignorant to these words.
Thank you Lisa and Chris. Important discussion. My view is that this is fundamentally related to the patriarchy of global culture. Men have wielded too much power and people on the margins need to and are taking back power around the globe. Therefore, this has naturally emerged in the astrological community, mostly unconsciously. But the dominant culture will not submit without a struggle. In my view this is fundamentally related to the way “science” has become the global religion which has spread since the beginning of the “scientific revolution” starting about 500 years. This is also when astrology was pushed out of universities because astrology could not be tested with a “scientific experiment”. Rick Tarnas in “Passion of the Western Mind” said “The crisis of modern man is essentially a masculine crisis and I believe its resolution is already now occuring with the tremendous emergence of the feminine in our culture……” The astrological community is on the vanguard of this cultural revolution. Thanks again.
what a weak guest. wish i could’ve been on here . ive studied longer and have a lot i could say about “gender”. it would’ve been good to have another woman not coming from her perspective to challenge her and round out the discussion more. it’s awful when people think there is a consensus amongst women about gender politics. or just a right vs left attitude when there’s a lot more to be said. she’s not a good speaker and just parrots the same patronizing gender politics that has forced its way into popular consciousness
I like the Yin /Yang terms better, I prefer stating like in my Sun and Moon explanation articles that the “feminine” term just means internal receptive emotional feeling side while “masculine ” is rational outer awareness . Astronomer wants to calculate mass, how fast it moves. Astrology looks at meaning. I think “Feminine ” humans are more into Astrology because I think theyre more sensitive to trying to get along in relationship w others and nature, less detached. However I also think it’ll be part of our evolution to rid of those terms. If you look at history The plenty times they wrote out female contribution to our history and we were only behind scenes. Burning witches and suppressing our sexuality.( The ascent of woman great documentary on Netflix) It seems Patriarchy suppresses Venus, damning her as temptation along w the distortion That is because she represents true knowledge. The less consciousness humanity has the better for the elite . I think Astrology is a language of higher consciousness and universal language A new system and unity of all The Leo polarity of Age of Aquarius transition were in now Leo= ego Aquarius is higher self multi dimensional Just thoughts.
