What is the day without SpongeBob?
The SpongeBob SquarePants, an animated series created by marine science educator Steven Hillenburg, first debuted on Nickelodeon in 1999. The first theatrical film adaptation, “The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie”, introduced the quirky underwater characters to a wider audience. In 2007, the fifth season featured a “No SpongeBob Day” episode where residents of Bikini Bottom celebrate the day. In 2009, fans began celebrating the day in a fun manner, imitating secret parties shown in the episode.
The tradition has grown over the years, with food and beverage establishments offering special promotions for the day. In 2019, SpongeBob SquarePants celebrated its 20th anniversary, bolstering its popularity. To celebrate, fans can throw a SpongeBob-themed party, visit an aquarium, or attend a SpongeBob-themed party with friends.
What is the oldest SpongeBob episode?
“Help Wanted” is the series premiere and pilot episode of the American animated television series SpongeBob SquarePants, which premiered on Nickelodeon in the United States on May 1, 1999, following the 1999 Kids’ Choice Awards. The episode follows SpongeBob, a yellow anthropomorphic sea sponge, as he tries to get a job at a local fast food restaurant called the Krusty Krab. Series creator Stephen Hillenburg conceived the show in 1994 and began working on it after the cancellation of Rocko’s Modern Life in 1996.
The original pitch for the series was to have SpongeBob and Squidward on a road trip inspired by the 1989 film Powwow Highway. However, Hillenburg gave up on this idea and started anew with the story he and Derek Drymon came up with, based on an experience Hillenburg had in the Boy Scouts. The episode was written by Hillenburg, Derek Drymon, and Tim Hill, with animation directed by Alan Smart. “Help Wanted” also re-popularized the Tiny Tim cover “Livin’ in the Sunlight, Lovin’ in the Moonlight”.
Why didn t SpongeBob end in 2004?
In 2002, Hillenburg accepted a film adaptation of SpongeBob SquarePants from Paramount Pictures, assembling a team from the show’s writing staff. The film, originally intended as the series finale, was renamed The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie. The movie premiered in Los Angeles on November 14, 2004, and grossed $141 million worldwide, becoming the seventh highest-grossing animated film of 2004. Two theatrical films based on the series have since been released: The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water and The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run, with a fourth film, The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants, set to be released in December 2025. The film opens with a band of pirates finding a treasure chest containing tickets to The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie.
Is SpongeBob autistic?
In a recent interview, actor Tom Kenny, who voices the popular animated character SpongeBob SquarePants, publicly shared his personal belief that the character may be on the autism spectrum. He was asked by an individual on the autism spectrum whether SpongeBob is autistic in character. Kenny replied in the affirmative. “Undoubtedly, he is.” During his recent appearance at the Motor City Comic Con in Michigan, Kenny disseminated the video via social media.
How old is SpongeBob to this day?
SpongeBob SquarePant, a character in the popular animated series SpongeBob SquarePants, is believed to be an adult, with evidence from Kamp Koral and his grandmother referring to him as an “adult” and “grown-up” multiple times. He owns his own home, pays bills, and works a full-time job, putting his age between 18 and his mid-20s. Despite the 1986 birth year appearing twice in SpongeBob, no evidence suggests the in-universe timeline aligns with the episode air dates. Stephen Hillenburg initially conceived the character as an adult, but SpongeBob’s official age may remain a mystery without confirmation from the creator or writers.
Despite the surreal nature of SpongeBob SquarePants and dark origin theories, guesstimating SpongeBob’s age seems mild. However, assuming SpongeBob’s age is between 18 and mid-20s, it is possible to ascertain the ages of other characters, such as Patrick Star, Sandy, and Squidward Tentacles. The only SpongeBob characters with confirmed birth years are Mr. Krabs and Plankton, who were born on either November 30, 1942, or September 25, 1960.
Assigning age values based on human longevity statistics to marine creatures may not be the best way to answer this question, as some sponges live for thousands of years.
Is SpongeBob still going 2024?
SpongeBob SquarePants is set to return for its 15th season, marking its 25th anniversary in 2024. The show, created by Stephen Hillenburg in 1999, is an animated kid’s show about SpongeBob, a sea sponge who lives in a pineapple. The 15th season will consist of 26 episodes, bringing the total to 345 since its debut in 1999. The cast is expected to include the series’ mainstays, but no guest stars or specific episode plots have been announced yet.
The show has spawned 319 episodes, 3 movies, multiple video games, and various media pieces. The 15th season is expected to arrive in 2024, marking an important milestone for the show and making it one of the most memorable so far.
How old is SpongeBob in 2000?
In the episode “Sleepy Time”, SpongeBob’s license lists his birthday as July 14, 1986, which falls under the minimum driving age of 16 in the U. S. However, this date appears in a dream sequence, raising questions about the canon status of SpongeBob’s birthdate. The Season 2 episode “Grandma’s Kisses” confirms SpongeBob’s age as an adult. After being bullied by Squidward and Krusty Krab patrons for kissing his grandmother, SpongeBob decides to act more “grown-up”.
Despite the challenges, his grandmother assures him that he can love her no matter his age, reminding him that he can still love his grandmother. This episode highlights the importance of recognizing and respecting one’s age and identity in the world of television.
Is SpongeBob 36 years old?
SpongeBob SquarePants celebrated its 36th birthday on July 14, receiving widespread love from fans worldwide. Nickelodeon celebrated the occasion with a tweet, stating that every day is a special day for SpongeBob. Fans expressed their love for the iconic cartoon, with one fan wishing SpongeBob a happy birthday and another expressing their love for his favorite character. Despite turning 36, SpongeBob remains busy and busy, despite his age.
Is SpongeBob 44 years old?
The date is July 14th, 1986. According to the character of Spongebob, he would be 33 years old on this date. Therefore, the reliability of seeing his driver’s license in a dream may be questionable.
What are the 2 banned SpongeBob episodes?
Nickelodeon has re-added two previously banned SpongeBob SquarePants episodes, “Kwarantined Crab” and “Mid-Life Crustacean”, back to streaming rotation. “Kwarantined Crab” was part of the show’s 12th season and featured a virus-focused storyline involving quarantine due to the Clam Flu. Nickelodeon removed the episode due to sensitivities surrounding the global pandemic. “Mid-Life Crustacean”, originally aired in 2003, was removed from rotation due to “some story elements being not kid-appropriate”. The episodes were part of the show’s third season and followed SpongeBob and Patrick’s attempts to cheer up Mr. Krabs during a mid-life crisis. The episodes are now available to watch once again.

📹 The SPONGEBOB CONSPIRACY Compilation (with 8 NEW MINI THEORIES!)
4 and a half hours of Alex Bale’s SpongeBob conspiracies! 2 hours of brand new content! 8 new mini theories! No one can …
Ah, A Day With Spongebob Squarepants. One of the most infamous pieces of lost media IMO. Anyways, thanks for perusal! I know this mystery has been done to death, but I felt like taking my own spin on it; cultivating the complete history of the search into one mini documentary. And, like I said on twitter, I plan on doing more mini documentaries so stay tuned! BIG thanks to Mullet Mike, Jack Nolan, Ketsa, Spin Master Mugen, Nolan, and everyone who helped me make this article!
-The kid on the cover of the movie is from a stock photo -The quotes on the cover of the movie are all fake -The company that “made the movie” has multiple aliases and even its supposed ex-employee admits that it’s a sketchy cash grab -The company’s website has a virus on it -The company freaks out after its fucking answering machine gets leaked -An “ex-employee” of the company tries to encourage people to stop looking for the movie -Someone shows up to the companies headquarters only to find an abandoned tenant in a random mall -Nobody wants to have anything to do with the company -The supposed owner of the company has an alias -The company address that Lorenzo provides leads to a random sexual massage business -The supposed owner of the company is noticeably awkward and evasive during the calls -Every time it looks like the movie is going to be released, literally nothing happens and there’s no explanation -There is no evidence that anyone has seen this movie or that it exists This must be totally legal activity, there’s definitely nothing weird or sketchy about this!
This was definitely some kind of money making scheme, three different companies tied to regal films that have nothing to do with filmmaking, the peoples standoffish attitudes about regal films and anything involved, abandoned locations, the managers secrecy about his films, this just stinks of something far more suspicious than lost media
Are Viacom even aware of it at this point, because this sounds like bullshit. If Mr. Orange really wanted to make a Spongebob related movie, he should’ve just pitched it to Viacom. Why make a film based on another property and not have the original company that owns said property produce the movie, even if it was a parody. It just doesn’t add up and nothing makes sense, sorry.
5:18 Let me tell you something about Hastings. They were (RIP 2016) like a Best Buy / Radio Shack where you could place orders on games, movies, and hardware. I remember placing an order in 2004 for a Command & Conquer game that was supposed to arrive in two weeks. I called back periodically for six months with each time being told “two more weeks”. For the lols, I called back in 2014 (10 years later) to find my order still pending, and the employee who answered told me “should arrive in two weeks”. Good memories.
One word: Nostalgia. Even tho I was never involved in the Search, I would always get so excited when more stuff about it was uploaded online. Edit: I was looking over the comments and saw a comment mentioning the Rebeltaxi article! I remember being so excited when he uploaded it 😂 (this account was made in 2017 but I have an older account from 2014 that I used to use to watch articles if anyone was wondering btw)
A Day With SpongeBob’s premise does sound interesting. If it was official and it really was made by Nickelodeon or the team behind the show, I can picture it in my head as a live-action/animation hybrid film set it in Burbank and the LA area. I Picture a SpongeBob take on Who Framed Roger Rabbit or Looney Tunes: Back in Action, where cartoon characters live with real people, SpongeBob is a big-name actor living in Hollywood, and he and a big fan go on this crazy adventure.
Great job on making yet another fantastic mini documentary. I have to admit, I went into this article hesitant. I was’nt expecting much. I thought, “I’ve heard about this a bunch of times, there’s nothing he’s gonna say that I have’nt heard but I’ll watch anyway since I like this guys’ articles.” Needless to say, I was pleasently suprised. Yeah I heard some things I already knew, but I learned alot of new stuff too! Once again, good job! Keep up the good work!!
I am legit creeped out by the article itself. Edit: My Reasons: 1: Creepy talking 2: Honestly, if i’m taking to a phone machine, I become fucking creeped out because of said machine. 3: All of the talking about how it is fake and cancelled, how that studio was just a small room in a building just feels… wrong.
i’m not usually one to search for lost media, but i do have a small piece of info. the supposed theme of the movie is an edit of a song by marco z3ta called “darkomet”. its certainly an edit, because while darkomet has a similar drum beat and melody, its much clearer in the theme. my guess is the person running the youtube website just took the song and screwed with the audio a little. that isn’t an uncommon occurrence on youtube.
Is it possible that “Jason Boritz” might have changed his number and whoever has it now is the one who was angry? Cause I don’t imagine the mere question of “is this Jason?” would make him angry, unless it was someone who was tired of getting calls looking for another person. My friend used to constantly get calls of because whoever had the number before owned a lawncare business lol
hey jorge, i really love your articles! you never cease to impress me with the amount of detailed info and research you give on each mystery/case in your documentaries. My favourite article so far is definitely the search for clockman, but this is one is hella awesome too (i love lost media stuff) keep it up, and when im scared, i’ll blame it on you 😉
The worst thing about it being a hoax is the fact that I like the premise. Spongebob feeling like he’s becoming irrelevant, creating a mass media buzz only to have to cater for an event winner on a chaotic day is an oddly interesting idea. I could picture it as a weird animation with the “Seth” character being live action like Patchy the pirate.
I really love all of your content, especially the stuff you make on Lost Media. Do you think you could make a article on lost Disney media? There’s some random things from cuts of films to almost full series from Disney website that are lost, and I think it would be interesting to see your take on them
It’s stuff like this that I always wanna genuinely know about the origins of. Someone made this, or at least someone made the cover art. This came from somewhere. It had to have came from somewhere. It didn’t come from nowhere. The person who made this know what they did. The person who came up with this is out there somewhere. They’re not nowhere. They didn’t go to nowhere. Someone was behind this, and I wanna know.
I have lost media to report not many people really cared so far so I won’t be surprised if nobody cares about this comment but I’ll say it just in case So I saw a article on YouTube in like 2014-2016 where some guys are inflating a giant balloon that looks like the guy from the Hasbro operation game at night and then some guy that I think was dressed as a pig and then he got eaten by the balloon and then the screen turned black and there was a logo that was a 🚫 on top of half eaten fruit and a message at the bottom I couldn’t see and I think the article was recorded at an airport because it was very similar to one
It’s funny that they mention a Hasting’s, because I remember seeing a cover that reminded me immediately of this one there as a kid. Like I’m sure I’m imagining that, because I want to find some lost media, but it was on an end cap near the humor movies and children’s movies in the store that used to exist on 4th and Slide? I think it was a rental, so no way to buy it as far as I know. It was before Marsha Sharp was built… This was in Lubbock, Texas btw.
What if Donna was actually Mrs. Puff’s criminal partner? When Mrs. Puff first sees Donna at the chili line, she says hello in a very friendly manner that reminds me of when you see an old friend. While we don’t see Donna during Mrs. Puff’s carjacking, she could have been someone she used it rob banks with. This isn’t a super concrete thought, but I just wanted to throw it out there.

3:37:11 Alright so you guys.. you remember that episode where plankton gets a customer?? And remember that KAREN payed off the customer? Where did she get the money? Maybe plankton isn’t selling the bots.. KAREN IS SELLING THE BOTS WITHOUT PLANKTON KNOWING THATS HOW SHE PAID OFF THE CUSTOMER AND HOW SHE FUNDS PLANKTONS BOTS WHICH SHE KNOWS FAILS SO SHE CAN EVENTUALLY SELL THEM
Mother of Pearl is an actual official name for a kind of very large pure pearl found in oysters. Since Mr Krabs likes money doesn’t him yelling “mother of pearl” basically equate to saying “gold dabloons!” Or “great hope diamond!” I think he named his daughter pearl because it’s a money reference, his favorite valuable underwater treasure and form of wealth status.
23:34 That’s actually probably the craziest thing you said in this entire article. I noticed this as a kid and was like “huh, how’d he get back” but never paid too much attention to it. It makes so much sense he just got replaced, but then I guess why did no one question it? Like it makes sense that Spongebob and Patrick wouldn’t because they’re stupid, but Squidward? Really? I suppose we’ll never find out. However, seeing Mr. Krabs crawl into that vent knowing he’ll never appear again (or at least, that version of him won’t) is REALLY creepy this is also completely unrelated but I never realized just how weird of a concept Patchy the Pirate is until perusal this (like as a character, just this disheveled old man obsessing over a cartoon character who’s also real and making it his life goal to meet him)
Interesting Theory: Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy can’t return to the surface easily due to how deep they are in the water. As you enter higher depths, your body slowly fills with gases that, with the pressure you’re under, can’t leave your body. So as you leave those depths, those same gases- including nitrogen- slowly ignites underwater, cooking you from the inside. This is called compression sickness. Some underwater repairmen live underwater in order to make the ascent easier since it would be on a later day. They can slowly, day by day, ascend to the surface, and they don’t have to go in and out of water to risk their blood literally boiling in their veins everyday. Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy live underwater after their fame because it’s literally the safest option due to their age. And maybe even the pressure got to them and made them a little… altered. Who knows! Update: Edited it to make sense, and with a little more research. Learned about this stuff from the Byford Dolphin accident, check that stuff out, really cool stuff (and horrifying… technically) ty 4 reading
1:29:33 Another bit of evidence in favor of Donna being the old student: look at her design. When in prison, she has a five o’clock shadow and large muscles. But in the car, her face is clean and her arms/fins are slender. Obviously could just be Mrs. Puff’s mind making mental gymnastics to make some old friend or running buddy Donna fit the “prison aesthetic” but it could also be more of that image of the past like with the news anchor fish and his hair and the design of her in the car being Donna’s true design.
The part that scared me so much about the Imaginary Krabs, is if it was with the Pearls mom theory. Real Krabs would’ve eventually ran out of whale meat and probably after ending up caring for Pearl . Planned to probably sell the joint and retire. But now this is Imaginary Krabs. Imaginary Krabs will do anything for money Including saving her up for the harvest … Real Krabs under the vent probably crazy and old still aimlessly crawling in the dark, if he’s not dead already . No one would find him for a long time .
51:41 I have another theory on where Bucky’s diving suit and presumably skeleton is: In the season 2 episode “Squid’s day off” Mr.Krabs gets a dime stuck in the sink and eventually loses both arms to the sink from him and spongebob trying to pull him out. He hits a wall, knocking a shelf off balance and sending multiple objects crashing down onto his head. And you wanna know what one of those objects were? A DIVING SUIT (one similar to the suit Bucky wore before he died). Could that suit belong to Bucky? or is it the suit of some other diver that died trying to help film the show?
i think its pretty simple to explain why the robot news anchor had hair. plankton wanted to make a believable robot and so he gave the one he originally made hair but as time went on he removed the hair to simulate the anchor getting older so no one would be sus that he is actually a robot that cant age
It makes sense that Hillenburg would pitch the show that way, with documentary style aspects, because before he created Spongebob he worked in the marine biology field. He used his time teaching about marine life to help inspire his creation of the show and pitching it that way prolly felt the most natural for him and a way to really get network execs to see his vision
2:37:21 Blue Dog, So Blues Clues. Cereal Bird, SO the Froot loops Toucan? Music School, And Pastry Cult.. I Got nothin. Magic Blender, Phineas And ferb? Red Car Just makes me think of Cars. And Purple lady just triggers my Deltarune hyperfixation so maybe a thory on susie’s homelife? im really Stretching here. You may have to go back a few frames, its a split second Hint.
In regards to “Kraby Patties are made from Pearl mother”, here’s a “fact” that might further prove that. I’m no SB lore buff, but I do remember an episode (Growth something?) where Pearl was in pain, hunger pain induced by her rapid growth. No amount of food satisfies that except a single Kraby Patty, which in my opinion might have been a form of cannibalism withdrawal (but not really). The idea is that although not 100% confirmed, cannibalism does have a series of health problems, including neurological degradation which might have been the inspiration of the real life Wendigo folklore, while in the show might have been represented to the withdrawal Pearl experienced.
What a wild journey this was. From Squilliam being a fraud to an ARG about Big Freaky Monsters eating Meat. Gonna be honest these set of articles are probably my favorite things that ever come out of Youtube, it’s definitely up there. The way you mixed the legitimately good theories with the insane Muse Story, and the fact they actually narratively connect in some ways just fascinates me. All of your theories are great, even the non-Spongebob ones, I will patiently wait for more theories, and I will watch anything you make. The Theorizer has always been one of my favorite youtubers, and you exceptionally imitate the same energy his theories have. Ridiculous ideas, convincing evidence. When he appeared in the Robot theory that was one of the most hype moments in the entirety of Youtube, one of my biggest crack dreams is that you and The Theorizer will make a collab together, collectively going insane over whatever idea you guys come up with. And yes, I would love to see a Breaking Bad theory. Thank you Alex Bale for creating these
Here’s a unofficial bonus theory I came up with myself that relates to explaining Patrick’s inconsistent family Patrick Show Patrick Isn’t SpongeBob SquarePants Patrick, they are two separate characters. -Obviously there’s the fact that Patrick in the Main Show Has 2 completely different parents From The Patrick Star Show ‘ -Patrick Star Show Patrick has a adoptive sister named Squidina who doesn’t recognize Patrick in the Goofy Goober episode of SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick in the Main Show has A Sister named Sister Sam -Grandpat isn’t referenced in the main show for the most part, also in the Sponge who could fly Patrick thinks back to what his grandpa said only for the gag to be SpongeBobs grandpa in his flashback -Patrick’s Patrick show Parents Made a cameo in a new SpongeBob Episode (Sheldon SquarePants) and Patrick’s Old Parents made a cameo in a recent episode (Patrick’s Tantrum) so Patrick can’t have 2 sets of parents and it’s because he doesn’t -also why would Patrick just randomly one day leave his television show to go live under a rock in bikini bottom it’s never really explained -in the first episode of the Patrick show the parents ask (“who is this guy”) to Patrick The Main reason I think Patrick show Patrick is Not The Same As Our Patrick is because Patrick in the Patrick star show has somewhat different wardrobe in ten Patrick star show. Patrick Show Patrick has A Green Hawaiian Shirt and SpongeBob SquarePants Patrick is obviously shirtless with green Hawaiian shorts On the surface this doesn’t mean anything but in Season 3’s Chocolate with Nuts we see Patrick Interact with a identical Starfish with the only difference being this one has a green Hawaiian shirt (“it will keep you from getting any uglier” “just in time”).
Alex I aspire to be like you when I get older. The muse arg is genuinely my favourite arg, it is so well made and the story is amazing. All the theory’s are well crafted and make sense. Old root had a lot of good mystery elements. Thank you for making all these amazing things. I hope you keep making quality content and ARG’s. Thank you so much.
1:50:32 I feel like I have a explanation for this We all know Bikini Bottom is radioactive? Yeah so when Mr. Krabs brought Pearl home or brought her to Bikini Bottom, she must’ve been affected by the radioactive waters and after living there for so long, she became an Evolved Fish. Although this may not have concrete evidence I hope it still helps Mini explanation for 3:24:16 … a wig that was glued on
1:41:16 HOLD ON THERE BUCKO! You just opened an interesting can of worms when you mention the “prehistoric” episodes, BUT we never have a clear answer for what rules time travel exits in sponge bob. Specifically, in sb-129, we see squidward break out of space-time while using the machine. Squidward could just have easily crossed into a completely different continuity of their universe where events happened earlier/differently. It’s also possible to say that the mere act of squidward traveling through time caused massive ripples in space-time that distorted the radiation present in the waters, and causing them to become a perpetual part of the environment I.e. “Neptune’s green moon” Edit: NEPTUNE IS THE ORIGINAL TIME TRAVELER!!! He isn’t some god if the fish, but an even further evolved fish from the distant future of the timeline, when they discovered time travel. Neptune, being a narcissist, traveled into a distant past of the continuity to rule over fish kind as their god-king. (Apart from appearance, there’s nothing that really separates Neptune from other fish. All his abilities instead come from his technology while he himself doesn’t appear smart enough to create such devices)
3:24:17 actually I think there might be a way that this could be possible. When he had hair back then, he also had a different voice as well. He could’ve living fish that look weird and was probably plankton’s first successfully robot replacement. Also if we’re going off with the Bikini Atoll Theory, he could be a primal fish that didn’t fully evolve.
With the imagination theory you just made Camp Koral cannon. There was an episode they questioned them not being able to breath under the water, after which they magically got the abilities to. I was always stunned of the inconsistancy of that single scene but now it is staring to actually make sense
What an amazing way to close an era of a website, I enjoyed this 4 HOUR LONG article from start to end and I seriously can’t wait for the High School Musical theory, I loved the first movie when I was 11 so much. That doesn’t mean I don’t want to see more Alex Bale horror shorts, they were the reason I stayed subscribed for a long time until he started the Muse ARG, so either films or theories, I’m here for them.
Fun fact! Pirates didn’t usually wear eye patches because of missing eyes. It was for crude night vision on the lower decks of ships. You covered an eye, and when you went below, you’d switch to the other eye. This way you’d already be adjusted to the poorly lit lower decks. Correct me if this turns out to be wrong.
Honestly perusal this article was really fun but kinda bittersweet, your conclusion on the SpongeBob theories and the nature of art, it’s weird to think the first theory was 3 years ago, back when i was still in high school even, thanks for the spongy theories and I really look forward to especially the blues clues theory you teased
Bruh that imagination and skeleton theory scared my to by frickin core now I’ve seen some cursed crap but NOT THE FRICKIN CURSED SCENES THAT HAUNTS YOUR BRAIN LIKE A RANDOM DAMN MOSQUITO TO YOUR EAR WHEN YOUR SLEEEPING i had to turned this off i was literally perusal this on the tv making it 10X DAMN SCARY
Alex Bale used the power of Evolution and Imagination to make a Television show with Squidward the Director, who fought in a Human War against Squilliam and Pinhead Larry. They proceeded to frame Neptune for being the one who killed Grandpat, so that Mrs Puff could Time Travel and meet the Goofy Goober Alien Jellyfish, but they turned out to be disguises for a ROBOT INVASION.
While I do like seeing Spongebob content, it’s the work and the personality I like the most. I like your other content and I can’t wait to see more from you, whatever it ends up being. Don’t Feed the Muse was so much fun to see play out and I want to see more of your storytelling. I really enjoyed the new mini theories and the Death Note soundtrack in the background, it fit suprisingly well
I love this article beyond human comprehension and I need you to know – I somehow watched all of this in one sitting and genuinely had the TIME of my LIFE. I’ve been following you since your Pizza Time Pizza days (shoutout Inside a Mind fr) and perusal you grow as a creator has made me so proud, congratulations for everything that you’ve done and I can’t wait to see where you go from here 🥰💖
I have a theory about the goofy goober alcoholic ice cream joke if you watch the bit in goofy goober’s you can see that SpongeBob is in a different bit and my theory is that the bit that SpongeBob was if for adults where the ice cream is like alcohol and the bit where the kids are in just serves regular ice cream
3:58:08, The “UP WITH BUBBLES, DOWN WITH AIR” comment could also link into the human war theory. As fish would want air, the area of humans, to be down and bubbles, more commonly associated with water to be up. Then again, in the Krusty Krab training article, it’s stated that the war happened way before the opening of the Krusty Krab, so I don’t know if people would still be commenting on the war at that time. Don’t really have much with this idea, just something I thought of.
38:40 now that just made the theory more convincing, any animation errors or possible seemingly logical inconsistencies are realized by the show runners and hinted at to be purposeful and just part of the lore. That detail right there is proof of any leaps in logic or stretches that you might make in these theories could actually be taken as purposeful and no longer just “leap of logic”. Now it’s not like the showrunners are aware of every “happy accident” that was made in past episodes and brought up in future was but its them telling us that “were aware of these inconsistencies and problems, just pretend that there’s an in universe reason for it all and whatever you find is probably the reason”. This just indirectly supported every theory you’ve ever made on spongebob and I’ve been waiting for someone to find a detail like this, good find. Also, 42:50 I have seen a lot of “debunking alex bale conspiracy” vids and showing that this along with many other things in your theories are stretches but none have been quite convincing enough or have demonstrated good enough counter evidence to really debunk what you’re inducing and now we have the pitch bible lore too. So this just here made me even more skeptical of those questionable debunking vids yikes
16:16 as someone who studies ancient history, I can actually answer this! In Persia there was this thing called Greek Fire (don’t know why the greek part) that, allegedely, didn’t go out with water and used to attack ships that would still be on fire as they sank. What greek fire is made out of is unnknown however, since it was illegal back then to discuss it or leave the recepy in records out of fear that enemies could recreate it. I do like your theory too tho! I like multi headcanons.
So SpongeBob’s world basically works on thoughtform logic? Edit: I just want to say,I’m so glad you’re not actually mad about being the SpongeBob guy. You have a genuine talent for this kinda thing and I’m very excited to see your future theories on other franchises. Your Pixar one especially was incredible
Wait hear me out: I have two theories about the human war that support both the evolution and nuclear atoll theory. A: Evolution theory: the nuclear tests over bikini bottom weren’t actually tests, and were actual offensive bombings to stop the evolved fish of bikini bottom, during the height of the war. B: nuclear atoll theory: This one is similar to A, but the war started because the Nukes destroyed the environment, a little bit like this: nuclear tests > destroys environment > fish get smart from radiation > fish start war against humans for destroying environment
Just thought I’d mention that pterosaurs are not ‘flying dinosaurs’. They are archosaurs like dinosaurs, but not actually dinosaurs, just related. Also, I believe in the section under the Krusty Krab, it’s again, not a dinosaur under water, but a mosasaur of some type, and a tanystropheus, both also not dinosaurs, but marine reptiles nonetheless. If it is a tanystropheus, kudos to the showrunners, for including such an unknown animal in the show. By the way, I’m only saying it is a tanystropheus due to SpongeBob so often taking care in scientifically accurate depictions, with Stephen Hillenburg being a marine biologist and all that.
hey alex love the vids! could you do a theory on it’s always sunny in philadelphia? they have a ton of inconsistencies with the characters and they even address that the characters can alter reality through their thoughts and then it becomes real in the show, in the newest episode an entire episode happens in dennis’ mind anyways keep up the good work 🙂
There’s a really simple fix to the whole robot news anchor fish Road bump. During that time puff was imagining her past, she was doing it with recent characters. So the news anchor fish in Mrs Puff’s flashback may have been an entirely different person in her past. Just like how she sees SpongeBob taking the place of the student that she let drive in her past. But because she remembers that particular person as a news anchor he takes the form of the modern news anchor fish. Does that make sense? Did I explain it well?
2:13:30 Neptūnus was actually originally a completely different god from Greek Poseidō̂n if you look at older Latin texts and material culture. Among other differences, Neptūnus was a fresh water god, not a sea god. The (partial) conflation of Neptūnus and Poseidō̂n is from later cultural contact and is never fully complete (no matter what the Ancient Roman government decreed). Also, you were right about Apóllōn being a Greek god; the Romans just adopted him. Thanks for a phenomenal article!
About the bikini nuclear atol theory as you said in article that the epizodes like URGH were recorded in the Krusty Krabs lost and found isnt possible because when to episode starts we get to see the Island with pteranodon completely above water completely out of the lost and found so the nuclear test theory doesnt make sense please read it or I will feed you to THE MUSE
I have a counter theory to the Mr. Puff in the episode Hysterical History. If the newspaper article is about Mrs. Puff running due to the events of Shell City, then she would be married to Mr. Puff already. Meaning they would most likely have the same last name. So if her name is Bobbi Blowfish during that time, and that would mean that Mr. Puff would actually be Mr. Blowfish. So why does Mrs.Puff go by Puff? Well, she could’ve reverted to her maiden name to separate herself from Mr.Blowfish and the events of the Shell City job. Even referring Mr.Blowfish as Mr. Puff to SpongeBob, so there’s no way to trace what exactly happened in Shell City as looking for a Mr. Puff in the news or documents would only show relatives to Mrs.Puff. This way, Mr. Puff is an actual relative to Mrs. Puff, and Mr. Blowfish could still very well be the pufferfish in Shell City. Not only that, but the Mr. Puff in Hysterical History is way too similar to Mrs. Puff from looks to even how they speak. It’s clear that the creator’s intention was to make that Mrs. Puff’s ancestor. The only other option that I can see for this to make sense is that the Bobbi Blowfish name isn’t actually cannon as it only shows up in the storyboards, and that Puff might still be Mrs.Puff’s original last name, but her first name had changed. At least from the writer’s intentions.
Bro I’m so glad you patched the bikini atol thing in the evolution theory. The idea of the fish evolving millions of years ago seemed so pointless, as in order for that to work that would mean that you’d have to make the extreme leap in logic that bikini atol nuclear explosion just didn’t happen, which given the context of your human war mini theory just seems so implausible. The revised version is so much better in my opinion and I’m happy you corrected it so well 🔥🔥🔥
2:35:11 What if this is what happened to Posidon when Neptune took over? To upsur the corrupt king Neptune transformed Posidon into a seastar and is forced to live his days not just as a mortal but as the dumbest species in the sea, starting the dumbest family line of the sea? And in his freetime Grandpat indulges in his gluttonous lifestyle he used to have as Posidon, eating grapes and lounging around, old people also love casinos
Here is my strange theory on what happened to the real Mr Krabs after he was left behind in the underground vent system. After traversing in the vents for a long time finds the camera room and sees the fake Mr Krabs through the cameras, but instead of finding a way out and confronting the phony, he uses him to his advantage. By letting the imaginary Krabs live out his life while secretly recording the footage’s for the tv producers he secretly works with. Since there’s camera fishes that knows this room there’s a good chance that they would know where Krabs is and supply him with enough resources to live off of while remaining underground carrying out the agenda of the humans.
1:59:49 ok, my theory is: y’know how some of the architecture in spongebob is just trash thrown by humans, that are now repurposed as buildings? Like houses resembling car mufflers, or the university which is a graduation cap, or spongebob’s house which is a pineapple. So what if the Krusty Krab is a forgotten lobster trap now repurposed as a building? idk, what do you think? edit: alex mentions this later so yeah.
31:28 fun fact that further confirms the “fake gorilla” claim that you didn’t mention, the person voice acting the gorilla is Frank Welker. Frank Welker is the actor for Fred Jones and Scooby Doo, the people who unmask the fake monsters. Thought it was worth mentioning how this narrative is supported in the fine print
4:35:33 if you wanna know about the other 4 theories are the one below the high school musical is about cars as evident by McQueen and sally’s pose. Above it looks like a pop-tarts commercial ad evident from a shot in the photo booth commercial. The top left is the magic bullet blender because of the shot i used to love that commercial. And lastly above the blues clues I’m not sure on what it is but based on it, it looks like a stitcom
2:47:45 With your new mini theory, if Squidina is really self-aware of The Patrick Show being just a show then she’s not Patrick’s beloved sister but just a coworker from long ago, and it’s possible that Patrick was so insufferable that she would not want to acknowledge/associate with him outside work.
So Mr. Bale if you do end up seeing this comment….. I REALLY loved your SpongeBob theories and your website as a whole, you and MatPat have been my fav youtubers of all time for theories and your very interesting takes on SpongeBob and other properties like Pixar and the magic school bus. I love the effort you put into every article and your film stuff. It makes me truly inspired and makes me wanna make these kinds of theories and film in the future. Your films are in my eyes perfect, the stories and the editing and acting is awesome and very professional in every sense. I’ll still stick around for your new theories and film that isn’t SpongeBob, because your just such an amazing guy. Keep on going with your career, its very promising and unique. I can’t wait for that big film once it comes out, its gonna be awesome. Thank you for your amazing SpongeBob theories and content, here’s to the future! :face-red-heart-shape::face-red-heart-shape::face-red-heart-shape::face-red-heart-shape::face-red-heart-shape::face-red-heart-shape::face-red-heart-shape:
1:40:24 Remember at the end of Feral Friends, after Neptune’s Moon went away, another magical entity called Neptune’s Sun appeared, which had the exact same effect on mammals/land creatures. It transformed Sandy into a smaller realistic squirrel, as well as de-evolved Patchy the pirate into a Neanderthal and Potty into a prehistoric pterodactyl-like parrot. Anyway, this implies that Sandy isn’t an ordinary squirrel, but rather an evolved squirrel. Although I highly doubt it was by King Neptune’s magic considering Sandy is a land squirrel from Texas. Let’s not forget that Sandy was “hired” by scientists (and/or presumably the company that runs the Spongebob nature documentary TV show) to spy on the citizens of Bikini Bottom. Perhaps Sandy herself might be a laboratory experiment (similar to Pinky and the Brain) created specifically for that purpose? It would explain why she can walk and talk like humans, as well as her genius intellect of course. Not to mention also the fact that Sandy is basically superhuman, WAY stronger than any ordinary squirrel, or even humans! IDK what kind of genetic enhancements or mutations they put in Sandy in that lab, but it looks like they must’ve injected her with some kind of super soldier serum like Captain America! Well whatever the case is, it’s basically been confirmed that Sandy is an evolved squirrel, though how her evolution happened isn’t exactly made clear. But I’d say it was likely an artificial evolution via genetic enhancements/experiments in a lab, rather than natural or magic rapid evolution like the Bikini Bottom citizens.
1:01:27 don’t worry, the reason he probably used to have hair and not any more is that they switch him out with a new copy every couple of years, after all if you were to make a robot invasion you would switch the robots out every couple of days/months/years for repairs, upgrades, and making them look older in case someone questions why they don’t age.
Regarding what you said about the prehistoric episode UGH possibly being faked, IDK… Spongegar, Patar and Squag, presumably the main characters’ prehistoric ancestors, they don’t seem like they’re acting, and it’s highly unlikely that they are, because Spongebob, Patrick and Squidward don’t know their lives are being filmed. If they did, it’d probably make more sense that they were just acting their parts for a caveman themed special, but they don’t know. And of course we already saw Squidward travel back in time for real and met primitive ancestors of Spongebob and Patrick, I highly doubt that was faked either.
ok hear me out- With Spongebob teaching ms puff, and how “it doesnt make sense”, remembrer- hes a TEACHER, most the teachers do is talk, and observe, spongebob has prooved himself to be smart, and he knows everything, but just cant do it himself. So that doesnt mean that he has no idea what hes doing, he could easily be an instructer cause of his knowladge. So maybe hes quailifewd??
3:24:19 This actually could work out. A lot of media that revolves around robots have multiple robots in different stages of their life so that they can go out in the world and no one will get suspicious of the “person” looking 25 for 50 years. So maybe whoever made the news fish made one version of him with hair from when they first integrated him onto television then had him go bald to show age? idk but I watch a lot of media with robots and this was the first thing that came to mind. But I think it works!!!
I hope no one has mentioned it, but Spongebob could also just be imagining his Tv working (connecting it to the imagination theory), meaning that it‘s not a functional Tv in the first place and only is functional because of Spongebob. In the clip that was shown, it even has the Tv not plugged in but still working? And when it broke in half, Spongebob‘s imagination was broken as well.
Couldn’t access the internet for the last few days, and just now saw this had been uploaded. Guess I know what I’m doing for the next four and a half hours. Edit: Just finished the article. Did not disappoint. Loved all these theories new and old, as well as Don’t Feed The Muse, and I’m definitely looking forward to more non-Spongebob stuff on this website.
When my dad and I watched the evolution theory article for the first time, he proposed an interesting idea: “Millions of years ago” could have meant for Bikini Bottom society. As far as I’m aware, there’s nothing in the show that says time passes the same way for us as it does for them. Ten years ago for them could have been just a few months for us. Although if you do have something to disprove this, please let me know. I never really watched Spongebob growing up, but my dad and I LOVE discussing theories, especially dark ones
When Mr. Krabs is lost in the vents and he is only in SpongeBobs imagination, how nobody notices his disappearance ? I mean dont he at least need to pay bills or pay the salary ? What about Perla or his mother ? Someone would have noticed it sooner or later. Mabe the story SB told took longer and he found them to some time, an evidence for me is, that SB, Patrick and Squidward are sitting in other position (more comfortabel during a break) after Plankton was thrown in the small vent and SBs story ended.
2:36:00 Well, we know Neptune has the power of turning normal creatures into (demi)gods, so maybe that’s the case with Grandpat? He lived extremely long but eventually grew old, showing he is not a full god. Which also could explain why he can visit the royal chambers and seems to have a sentient beard.
I watched all of the articles when they came out and they were soooooo good. Like other stuff like game theory (rip matpat) i didn’t watch theory articles… but once i watched your articles i got into it a little too much lol. My favorite theory is the flying Dutchman one it not only is amazing but damn did i get jump scared first when patchy and the parrot’s legs were sticking out of the sand and then when i saw patchy beheaded but when i saw patchy dieing i was dead bro. I also watched that at like 1 in the morning so that probably made it scarier then it needed to be but still damn
My personal theory about mr.krabs is that maybe spongebob didn’t make a imaginary krabs but in fact ripped Mr.Krabs from where he was in the vents and the interruption of plankton made him realize he had to break the flashback and join back with them since he almost explained the secret formula. I think this because Mr krabs admits its a flashback, if this is true this would mean he is admitting that he is imaginary unless spongebob has the ability to teleport people in the moment he is retelling. I know this is weird but I don’t like the thought that everyone sees this and dosnt question it at all
Ok, I love the SB Theories, but people, honestly. What else is there? There are only as many conspiracies as there are, what do you want? Mr. Krabs abandoned Larry the Lobster at birth? The chocolate guy wants all the chocolate to make sure the old chocolate lady dies? Gary is secretly real like Bill Cipher and went back in time to create the SpongeBob show? All good things must end, otherwise we’re basically asking Alex to become Disney… No one wants that.
