Action Surge is a powerful ability that allows spellcasters to cast two leveled spells in one turn. However, it cannot be used to gain an additional bonus action. If you have already cast a bonus action spell, you can only cast cantrips. If you cast a full action spell, you can use Action Surge to cast another full action spell, but you cannot cast a bonus action spell.
Quickened Spell does make it possible to cast two 1-action spells by turning a 1-action spell into a bonus-action spell. However, if you cast a spell of level 1 or higher as a bonus action, you cannot cast any non-cantrip spells with any of your two actions.
Action Surge can be used for any action, including attacks, spells, and other abilities, but it cannot be used to gain an additional bonus action. The eldritch knight archetype grants you the ability to learn and cast select cantrips and spells, so you can use your Action Surge to cast more than one spell in a turn as a fighter.
However, the cantrip limitation only applies if spells are cast with your bonus action. You can cast two leveled spells with Action Surge, as long as you don’t cast a spell as a bonus action.
The rule on bonus action spells has nothing to do with Action Surge. You can cast one proper spell per round, and possibly cantrips. You cannot ever cast multiple proper spells in one round. The only way to cast three leveled spells in a round is using two Actions (with Action Surge) to cast leveled spells, and then triggering the right conditions.
In summary, Action Surge allows spellcasters like Sorcerers to cast two leveled spells in the same turn, but it cannot be used to gain an additional bonus action.

Can you cast multiple spells with haste?
The casting of a second haste spell on a target will result in the maintenance of the same effect as that of a single haste spell. Nevertheless, the duration of the second spell will undergo a transformation concurrent with its dissipation. Consequently, the target will no longer be hastened if its duration exceeds that of the initial spell.
Can you shove twice in a turn 5E?
The question is whether grappling or shoving counts as an attack action. The Attack action counts as the Attack action, but features that trigger when you take the Attack action, like Extra Attack, are not invalidated by grappling or shoving. For example, a level 5 Fighter with Extra Attack can grapple someone and punch them in the face. The Attack action entitles you to make two attacks during your turn, which can be spent on anything that counts as an attack and doesn’t require a separate action. Grappling doesn’t invalidate your second attack because it was granted when you took the Attack action, not when you made an attack of a particular type.
To determine if it’s possible, read the rules for the feature or spell in detail. If it only requires the Attack action, it’s compatible with grappling or shoving. If it requires making a melee weapon attack as part of the Attack action, it’s not.

Can you use two spells in a turn 5e?
A bonus action is a swift spell that requires a bonus action on your turn, unless you have already taken one this turn. You cannot cast another spell during the same turn, except for a cantrip with a casting time of 1 action. Some spells can be cast as reactions, which take a fraction of a second and are cast in response to an event. Longer casting times, such as minutes or hours, require you to spend your action each turn casting the spell and maintain your concentration. If your concentration is broken, the spell fails, but you don’t expend a spell slot. If you want to try casting the spell again, you must start over.

The Quicken spell turns a 1 Action spell into a 1 Bonus Action spell, allowing you to use your bonus action. However, a warlock’s eldritch blast is a cantrip, and raising its level is not possible. Action surge allows a second action, but you cannot take a second bonus action, so you cannot cast another quicken spell. The PHB rule states that if you cast a spell that takes an action, you can only cast another spell in the same round if it is a cantrip that takes a bonus action. 📹 DnD 5e Explained: Using Action Surge with Spellcasting
I was curious about this interaction myself and saw some forums explaining it, but the text was sort of misleading or not fully …
I don’t find it hard to see an entire party taking 2 levels in fighter for action surge, I don’t even find it hard to believe that they all have the dex requirements to multi class despite being spell casters But tell me how they got far enough that they had to be revived and hadn’t used their action surge yet?
Actually seen the happen in real life. Star Wars Imperial Assault, big bad just showed up in his AT-ST. Sniper took a reaction shot, then his normal shot, then a second shot with his ability. Then the Wookie used his ability to charge across the map AND attack in the same turn to finish it. The look of disappointment on the GM’s face when he didn’t get to play with his new toy was almost soul crushing. As he had just received the dude as a birthday present.
In one of my campains I made a machete gun. At first I simply combined a crossbow & replaced the arrow with a machete. Then I had the idea of *what if I somehow make it auto-matic machete gun*. After getting seriously lucky rolls & enchanting certain aspects with some help. I use the my special magic storage bag that held 6,278 machetes to move to my crossbow that reloads in 0.2 seconds & fires a fairly accerate machete at 65 mph with a range of half a kilometer. All of my party also helped in making it. Also about half the machetes are poisoned, heated, or have a chilling effect. Best weapon I’ve ever made with my partys support. I used it & let everyone use it. Until the ranger droped it & the boss a arch-lich picked it up & stole my machete storage bag. Blasting us to kingdom come. All in all a super fun sessions even if there is a op lich that has undead craft & enchanting machetes to power his machete gun. Now we gotta figure what to have to kill him since he can blast up.
