An Outlook On Fighting The Good Battle From A Mystic?

In the Pastoral Epistles, Paul applies the Greco-Roman idiom of “fighting the good fight” to pastors fighting for a heavenly kingdom. He urges Timothy to fight against false teachers for the sake of their faith. In 2 Timothy 4:7, Paul says, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith”. This passage is significant as it was Paul’s last.

Paul believed patriotism involved perseverance, courage, and steadfastness in the face of life’s battles. As believers, we are called to fight the good fight of faith, which involves turning our thoughts to God, good, and striving to outwardly express our innate godliness. Pursuing righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, and gentleness is essential for fighting the good fight of the faith.

In Christian doctrine, there is a concept called Original Sin, which states that humanity is called to fight the good fight in life, the battles God has called us into, and the bad fights we should avoid. The question is whether we are on the side of good or evil, whether on the side of Jesus or Lucifer.
