Are Bay Leaves On Fire Considered Witchcraft?

Bay leaves, also known as laurel, have been used in witchcraft for centuries and are a popular ingredient for spell casting. They are believed to have magical properties such as protecting people from harm, attracting good luck, and warding off evil spirits. Bay leaves are also known for their medicinal properties, such as lowering blood sugar levels, helping with muscle and joint pain, and aiding digestion issues.

Burning a bay leaf can cleanse the energy of a space, banish negativity, communicate wishes to the gods, and break curses. The most common manifestation method is to write your desire on the leaf and burn it. Bay leaves are often associated with the fire element, making them an essential part of rituals. Passionate burning indicates a positive omen, while troubled burning indicates a negative one.

Daphnomancy is a form of pyromancy whereby the future is predicted by burning bay laurel leaves. A loud crackling from the fire is a positive omen, and using bay leaves in manifestation can bring magick to your life, food, and wallet. Bay leaves act as a tool, focusing intentions and reminding you of your goals. They can be used as a tangible symbol, not a magic cure.

In a TikTok video, KANNER shares his experience using bay leaves for manifestation, stating that they make all your wishes come true when burned. This powerful method of manifestation has been a staple in witchcraft and other magickal practices for centuries.

  • People, when you do this, don’t expect it to hit you like pot. The way for it to work is to calm yourself down first for a few minutes of relaxation, start burning them one or two at a time, and note that it has to be partially to almost dry leaves for it to burn. You can burn them green but needs a steady burner like a stove. Lay down, relax and ponder on how you’re gonna explain to your hysterical wife, coming from work and was sitting on a two hour traffic jam, smoke comin out of her nose and ears, sink fulk of dirty dishes and no food to eat, that this bay leaf really does relax you

  • I did…not sure how it turned out, didn’t feel much that relaxing feeling…but the burnt smell is not going away from my house and it is the evening… don’t think I want to do it again. but was fun to try, espec how the bay burns with firework effect(that made me relaxed for sure,as I love perusal fire). my hubby got completely opposite reaction,he almost exploded,as the smell of smoke was too much…:)))) I burned as many leafes as U did…

  • Hi, Emily! I love perusal you doing your thing, your tools emanate wonderful energies! ❤ I agree with what you said that we need to concentrate and know exactly what you want to manifest, many people fail because they are too brain scattered!! Thank you for the reminder, so important during Mercury retrograde!
