What makes you so wonderful… the page of swords.. You are smart, you uave a good head on your shoulders, but you also uave a youthfulness about you. You can see the world through the eyes of an old soul while maintaining curiousity about life. The page is about youth. It can be an immature energy or it can be a playful energy…or both. Swords are air energy. They show intellect but can also show some tendencies to overthink. Sometimes anxiety. Page of swords is a pleasent energy in the context of what you are asking.
So I have found that most tarot readers will refuse to do pregnancy or fertility readings because of the ethical issues surrounding it. Also, yes there are assigned meanings to the cards but it’s more about following your intuition when it comes to reading each card. Sometimes the cards will have a totally different meaning to the reader than the traditional ones. It can also completely change based on which deck they’re using and the art work on the card. Most of the time when you look up the meanings of the cards you’ll find the traditional meanings behind the Rider Waite Smith artwork but there are a lot of decks that don’t follow that tradition that will have totally different meanings based on the artist’s intentions.
Ive been doing tarot for quite some time now and i must say seeing these tiktokers doing tarot radiates ignorance. Tarot isnt supposed to be used to predict the future thats a misconception, tarot is meditation depending on what card u got u reflect on its meaning and how it plays a role in ur life. Another thing to note is that yes or no questions aren’t effective since asking blunt yes or no question isnt meditation. Also meanings of cards change depending on the questions u ask and context the 10 of wands u got in this context mean yes since here the card means over bearing exhausting and too much. Apart from that i really love your deck!!
I went to some hippy-dippy hangout downtown and started asking people if I could practice reading on them 🙂 It helps when they’re open to the idea. Tarot is really just a fun narrative tool to help people tell their own stories. There are no ‘yes’ or ‘no’s, only context and a fun cartoon to go along with it. A tarot spread is basically a DIY comic strip, and you get to be the narrator. For reference, I use the Pulp Tarot. It’s in the style of those old pulp fiction paperback covers. I spoke to the artist directly, and he said he used that old art style because it was so loud and expressive. It’s true though – I don’t even have to reference the little instruction booklet when I’m doing a reading because the pictures speak for themselves. The dude spent 30 years working on them and he did a goddam good job
