The Lightning Spell is the first Elixir spell unlocked in the Spell Factory and is automatically unlocked once the factory has finished being built. It is used to damage enemy building and defending troops, particularly when dealing with air defenses. The Lightning Spell is predictable and only applies damage to the one grid square where the spell is placed. If you use your own Lightning Spells, you need to use 4 Lightning Spells to kill an Air Defense. A donated max Lightning spell allows you to kill an Air Defense with 3 damage.
The new Poison Spell eliminates the need to use your Lightning Spell to kill Troops, as it deals only 2 damage. Instead of 2, the new Lightning Spell uses only one space, the same space as the Freeze Spell and Dark Elixir spells, allowing up to 11 attacks. This allows you to take advantage of their best advantages in your attacks.
Lightening spells can be used to kill/injure heroes directly by dropping them on them and simultaneously kill Clan Castle troops if the timing is correct. However, as of July 1, lightning spells can only affect ground units and ground defenses and cannot affect any storages. Lightning spells do damage all troops that get hit by individual strikes from the spell.
Although all AOE magics hit your troops as well as enemies, such as Chain Lightning, Banishment, Fiery Phoenix, and Ruination of Cities, they do not harm your own troops. Understanding how these spells work helps you know when to use them, how to place them, and take their best advantages in your attacks.

How many zaps to take out Inferno?
The Inferno Tower is a powerful defensive structure that can be a significant threat to heavy troops and light units. It can be destroyed by a combination of Lightning Spells and a group of Minions, especially if it is behind multiple walls and defenses. Small troops are stronger against the Inferno Tower in single-target mode, as it must heat up again every time it targets a new troop. Golems can be destroyed quickly, but if surrounded by Archers or Barbarians, it can be defeated quickly.
In single-target mode, it can only target one unit at a time, making it an easy target for attacking units. The Inferno Tower’s top can indicate whether it is in single or multiple target mode. A loaded tower glows with lava and flame, while an empty one is unlit, black stone. It takes 2 maxed Lightning Spells and one maxed Earthquake Spell to take down an initial level Inferno Tower. The Grand Warden’s Eternal Tome allows all troops in his range to be healed, preventing the loss of troops for a short amount of time.
Can a 3 level 7 Lightning Spell destroy level 8 air defense?
Lightning spells are a powerful tool used to defeat strong defenses, such as Mortars, Wizard Towers, and Air Defenses. They can be used to destroy enemy Clan Castle Troops, Builder’s Huts, Barbarian King or Archer Queen Altars, Barracks, or Army Camps. A good trophy-hunting strategy is to use Lightning Spells to take out an Air Defense and then deploy Dragons. It takes no less than 3 Lightning Spells to take out an Air Defense of any level, and higher level air defenses require more.
Pseudo-Wall Breakers can also be used with Lightning Spells, as troops may partially damage a wall during a raid before being wiped out by the defenses. If the wall is lower level or sufficiently damaged, one or more Lightning Spells can be used to finish off the wall and open the path. However, higher level walls have a great deal of hitpoints and may require several Lightning Spells or have too much health entirely.
Dropping a pair of Lightning Spells directly between two Defensive Buildings (e. g. a Wizard Tower and a Mortar) can actually destroy both structures if the Lightning Spells are of sufficient level. A common strategy is to lure Clan Castle troops near defenses and then drop a Lightning Spell to eliminate them if their health is low enough and simultaneously damage the defenses in its radius.
Lightning spells can be used to kill/injure Heroes directly by dropping them on them and simultaneously killing Clan Castle troops if the timing is correct. As of the July 1, 2015 Update, Lightning Spells will no longer damage Gold Storages, Elixir Storages, or Dark Elixir Storages but can still damage Gold Mines, Elixir Collectors, Dark Elixir Drills, Clan Castles, and Town Halls.
Does Poison Spell affect your own troops?
The Poison Spell is the first Dark Spell unlocked in the Dark Spell Factory, which slows down all enemy Clan Castle Troops, Heroes, and Skeletons within its area of effect. Its effect lasts for an additional 6 seconds after the unit leaves the poison radius. However, buildings remain unaffected from Poison Spells. The Poison Spell slows down the movement and attack speed of opposing heroes, except for the Grand Warden, which is a defensive building on defense. Healers and Heroes are not affected, as they cannot attack enemy troops and have limited targeting range.
Can you destroy Eagle artillery with Lightning Spell?
The Eagle Artillery is a powerful defense that can be quickly destroyed by melee troops, especially if protected by a layer of walls. It can be destroyed by 6 level 8 Lightning Spells and 1 level 5 Earthquake Spell, making it commonly used in Zap Lalo or Hybrid armies. To defend the Eagle Artillery, place it in a location with a covered blind spot, like a Mortar, and centralize it to prevent easy access. In an anti-three-star base, centralizing the Eagle Artillery is more important than protecting the Town Hall.
Keep it away from other important defenses, such as the enemy Queen and Clan Castle, as this allows for easy value. The Eagle Artillery is best supported by an Air Defense, which destroys air troops while picking off ground troops. For extra support, a Wizard Tower can cover the blind spot. Offset the Eagle Artillery to keep it firing while troops are in the core, as many troops tend to be clumped in the core. Keep the Eagle Artillery separated from other main defenses, such as Scattershots and Inferno Towers, to prevent attackers from using Zapquake or Overgrowth Spell.
Stun the Eagle Artillery before it fires to force it more time to fire. When paired with a Rage Spell Tower, the Eagle Artillery is too powerful, so it is advised to destroy it as soon as possible to prevent further damage to the army.

How does the Lightning Spell work in Clash of Clans?
The Lightning Spell is the first Elixir spell unlocked in the Spell Factory, which is automatically unlocked after the factory is built. It damages buildings and enemy troops within a small radius, except for resource storages, the Town Hall, and the Clan Castle. If struck, a Defensive Building or troop is stunned and retargeted. When combined with the Earthquake Spell, Lightning Spells can destroy high hitpoint buildings like Eagle Artillery or Scattershot. However, this is often not worth the cost unless at least two buildings are destroyed or the enemy Archer Queen is defeated simultaneously.
Do skeleton spell trigger spell tower?
Skeleton Spells are a powerful tool for destroying single-target Inferno Towers, as they distract the tower while other troops finish it off. However, multiple-target Inferno Towers can quickly negate this spell. The Skeleton Spell is the 4th Dark Spell unlocked at level 4 Dark Spell Factory and requires the Town Hall to be at level 9. It summons weak Skeletons on the battlefield, providing a good distraction and preventing damage to resource buildings.
If leaving the defending Archer Queen for something else during the opening phase, wait for the Balloons and Lava Hounds to come around, rage them, and drop a Skeleton Spell. This will distract and take out the Queen and other buildings, while raging your main army. Beware of splash surrounding the Queen and consider taking her out if there is a Bomb Tower nearby.

Endless haste is surprisingly good for the bigger troops. Super drags, especially, benefit a lot from endless haste. Their dps is already very high, and the spell eliminates their usual weakness of being very slow. Pair endless haste with frost spell and most big troops will have no issues shredding bases.
If I’m not wrong I remember after the eq spell was introduced there was an update where repeated eq spells cause less damage or eq spells deal less damage to a damaged building. So I think keeping that in mind that the eq might not be able to be used it’s full potential,it’s used first on an undamaged building🤷🏻♂️👍
