Auras Revealed By Any Catholic Mystics?

The Church officially does not teach anything about auras, but encourages its members to practice their beliefs and be good Catholic Christian witnesses. Mystics, such as St. Joan of Arc, St. Teresa of Avila, and St. Hildegard of Bingen, seek an intimate union with God through prayer, contemplation, and meditation. They believe that God’s love and grace can be experienced through spiritual visions.

The Illumination of Conscience was described by mystics and saints in recent Church history as God’s opportunity for repentance and salvation before the Final. Two well-known mystical saints, St. Gemma Galgani and St. Catherine of Siena, experienced sublime ecstasies and visions. Miraculous visions are not unusual among Christian mystics, but they range from private dreams to public apparitions.

Catholics are not bound to believe in any private revelations, even those like Fatima and Lourdes. The Catholic Church prohibits any engagement with occult practices. Most who claim to read auras are simply con artists, but the concept of auras is not holy or unholy.

Auras have fascinated many people, with some seeing them around their priest at Mass and others witnessing them around birds. Pope Benedict’s aura reading is a historic first, and the Church encourages its members to practice their beliefs.

According to spiritual beliefs, an aura or energy field is a colored emanation said to enclose a human body, any animal, or object.

Who is the head of the mystical body?

The mystical body of Christ is a concept in Roman Catholicism that combines all Christians into a spiritual body with Jesus Christ as their head. This concept is rooted in the New Testament and may reflect Christianity’s roots in Judaism. St. Paul’s letters to the Corinthians and Romans use the image of a body with a head (Christ) and many members (Christians) to describe the relationship between Christ and Christians. Later Church Fathers, including St.

Augustine, reaffirmed Paul’s assertion that the Christian church is a spiritual extension of Christ’s body. Pope Pius XII popularized the phrase in his encyclical Mystici corporis christi. The Second Vatican Council issued the “Dogmatic Constitution on the Church” or Lumen Gentium, which reflected the broader, universal nature of the mystical body.

Does the Bible say anything about aura?

While the Bible does not explicitly discuss auras in contemporary metaphysical terms, it is evident that divine beings’ presence and power often involves radiant and transformative light.

What is a Catholic mystical experience?

A mystical experience of God often leads to personal transformation, as it challenges our preconceptions and provides clarity into God’s love for us and our life. This experience should result in beneficial reactions for ourselves and those around us. Bernard McGinn, a theologian, believes that the only test for determining the authenticity of a mystic and their message is personal transformation. As Catholics, we believe that the meaning of life is to learn to love selflessly and become united with God, and the point of Catholic mysticism is to achieve this end. This personal transformation is the only test that Christianity has known for determining the authenticity of a mystic and their message.

Is an aura a warning?

Auras, a type of seizure, are often considered to be a manifestation of a minor seizure, which can be identified through the use of an electroencephalogram (EEG). Both seizures and auras are the result of disturbances in the normal functioning of the brain’s electrical signals. It is postulated by experts in the field that auras are formed when a seizure creates a new neural pathway that crosses an existing one, thereby establishing a permanent connection. This new pathway may facilitate the experience of a feeling, sensation, smell, sight, or sound.

How do you know if you have an aura?

Migraine aura symptoms are temporary visual disturbances that usually occur before other migraine symptoms, such as intense head pain, nausea, and sensitivity to light and sound. These symptoms usually occur within an hour before head pain and last less than 60 minutes. Sometimes, migraine aura occurs without a headache, especially in people aged 50 and older. Symptoms may include blind spots, zigzag lines, shimmering spots or stars, changes in vision, or flashes of light.

What religion are auras from?

The concept of auras was first popularized by Charles Webster Leadbeater, a former priest of the Church of England and member of the mystic Theosophical Society. Leadbeater believed he had the capacity to use his clairvoyant powers to make scientific investigations, and claimed that most men came from Mars but the more advanced men came from the Moon. He illustrated the aura of man at various stages of moral evolution in his book Man Visible and Invisible, published in 1903. In 1910, he introduced the modern conception of auras by incorporating the Tantric notion of chakras in his book The Inner Life.

Leadbeater’s ideas on the aura and chakras were adopted and reinterpreted by other theosophists such as Rudolf Steiner and Edgar Cayce. However, his occult anatomy remained of minor interest within the esoteric counterculture until the 1980s when it was picked up by the New Age movement. American esotericist Christopher Hills published Nuclear Evolution: The Rainbow Body in 1977, which presented a modified version of Leadbeater’s occult anatomy, presenting each chakra as a sequence of centers associated with a color of the rainbow.

Chakras became a part of mainstream esoteric speculations in the 1980s and 1990s, with many New Age techniques developed to clear blockages of the chakras. By the late 1990s, chakras were less connected with their theosophical and Hinduist roots and more infused with New Age ideas. Holistic healing within the New Age movement claims to use aura reading techniques, such as bioenergetic analysis, spiritual energy, and energy medicine.

Seizure auras are typified by a pronounced sensation of déjà vu, intense fear or elation, unusual tastes, odours or visual disturbances. The specific symptoms may vary depending on the location of the seizure in the brain. The most frequently observed symptoms include:

What is the mystical body of the Catholic Church?

Migraine with aura is a condition characterized by intense headaches, sensory disruptions like dizziness, ringing in the ears, zigzag lines in vision, and sensitivity to light. About a quarter of migraine attacks include auras, but not every attack. Some people experience auras without head pain. Although they can be painful, these headaches are not life-threatening. Lifestyle changes, medications, and devices can treat and sometimes prevent migraine headaches with aura.

Which saint is a mystic?

St. Teresa of Avila, a renowned Catholic mystic, was known for her visions, religious ecstasy, and body levitation during prayer. However, her religious writings aimed to de-mystify the religious experience and focus on its potential to help people grow in love for God and humanity. Despite being a Carmelite nun and reformer of the Carmelite way of life, she often muttered “God save me from pious nuns” under her breath. Despite her devotion to prayer, she was also practical and valued mundane activities like cooking and eating.

She had a keen understanding of the challenges posed by a life of prayer, admitting to depression and impatience for her release. Despite her mystical experiences from the beginning of her vocation, her interest in prayer expanded due to her mystical experiences, which made the daily communal recitation of prayers burdensome for her soul.

How can you tell if someone is a mystic?

Mystics, as a term used to describe someone who is out of touch with reality, are actually those who have gotten in touch with what is real. They possess powerful receptivity and sympathy, are porous, and can stretch beyond their protective ego. They are often courageous and find ethical opportunities out of this wide stretch.

Other people can be ordinary mystics, experiencing moments of mystical moments that extend their boundaries and increase empathy with others. These moments can occur in various aspects of life, such as art, parenting, creativity, and personal growth. As the mystical moments multiply, individuals become less prone to self-protection and have a greater empathy for the world around them.

If religion is defined as a strong sense of the divine, daily mysticism contributes to this sense by drawing individuals out of themselves and into nature and beyond. This perspective highlights the importance of embracing the mystical moments and the potential for personal growth and connection with the divine.

  • What an extraordinarily eloquent, intelligent man. I could listen to him talk for hours. Huge intellect! Thank you so much for having this guest on. I think this is my favourite of all your articles. I love his mention of the Irish fairy faith as well as his vast theological, spiritual and historical knowledge. 💚💚💚💚💚

  • My granddad’s land is in Moytura, which is said to have been the site of that big battle and where the Tutha De Dannan went underground. When my daughter was born, the first thing I noticed about her is that her ears bore resemblance to the ears of the Fae. I’ve always felt connection to the Fae. This confirmed to me that that connection is true. There are many fairy forts and circles around Sligo (where I’m from), and I have photos of some of them that are full of orbs. I too was raised catholic and have been recovering from that since about 17/18, when I went back to my pagan roots. The awakening that’s been happening the last 15 years or so has been so interesting to see.

  • Alex, I understand the fireworks you put behind Sean (what he was saying…meant etc) however I don’t remember ever seeing you do this before. Now I’m wondering what made you do this or have I missed it in the past? And Sean is absolutely cool, beautiful and awesome. As are you and your podcast. Keep it up!😊❤

  • I resonate so deeply with all of this. Homospiritualis on this earthly adventure over here. So many great points made throughout this interview. I guide people to reconnect to their heart’s wisdom instead of allowing the knowledge of the intellect to override the beauty and the whispers of the heart space. 🙏💝✨ Thank you for sharing your amazing journey with us.

  • Alex, Sean’s closing words for you are spot-on!! Bravo to you and your courage for taking this journey. I agree with Sean, you bring light to earth.🙏🏽 I’ve been following your show for sometime now. I hope to continue to watch your show, hopefully it wont get too pricey😬. May the force stay with you💜

  • As Alex brought up at around 39 minutes in, how God has been portrayed by da Vinci, it occurred to me, what if da Vinci was expressing himself as God, as in, we are all God, but it’s also deep in patriarchy so everybody took it as God is male energy? Interesting to contemplate anyway. Thank you so much, I love your guest’s work!

  • Excellent interview Alex. Thank you Fr. Sean. Yhoroughly enjoyed all you were able to share. Much gratitude However, the Dalai Lama who I spent over 20 yrs following and practising the principles of Buddhism until I saw the articles of him with Klaus Schwab and that he was implicated in child trafficking. Sadly, not all is as it seems.

  • Yes absolutely, i agree! And like David Vose says, Jesus have probably been here as 5 different bodys then Jesus! And we are now about to se him for the 7 time”complete” the only happening that remains in the scriptures is the Devestation of desellation or what they call it, sorry fore my bad English! Auto correct is not active😅 Be please understand fore us now in this time! Jesus is The TRUTH the WAY and the LIFE✝️
