Can A Special Amulet Be Anointed?

The patch notes mention the availability of Oils, a new type of item, among the loot dropped by the Blight. With two Oils, Cassia can Anoint rings with powerful tower-boosting effects. Passive skill anointments are available by anointing amulets and Blight uniques. These anointments vary in price and some are extremely powerful.

The Stranglegasp amulet is a rare item in Path of Exile that can be obtained with four oil anointments from Cassia. Players can apply Oils to blighted maps, rings, amulets, or Blight unique items to add an additional effect. The Constitution effects on an amulet take up the enchantment slot, increasing its life by 20 to maximum life.

Cluster jewel-only notables are not anointable. Oils can be applied by the player via Cassia to blighted maps, rings, amulets, or Blight unique items to add powerful new build possibilities. However, players should not get the oils back as they can be replaced.

The Stranglegasp amulet can be anointed four times, making it relatively good in many builds. However, this is not the reason for its high cost. After anointing it, players can use the amulet to enhance their abilities and build more powerful items.
