Can you use blue conditioner everyday?
Blue shampoos and conditioners contain blue pigments that neutralize unwanted hair hues caused by lightening or bleaching. These pigments are responsible for balancing the color of the hair, causing it to appear yellow in blonde hair and orange in darker hair. However, using more blue shampoo doesn’t guarantee better results. It’s important to use the same amount of blue shampoo as regular shampoo for optimal results. Pigmented shampoos are not meant for everyday use.
Should I grease my hair everyday?
Daily oiling is not recommended as too much oil can be harmful, leaving hair and scalp greasy and blocking hair follicles. To prevent this, use a sulphate-free shampoo like Swish to remove any oil build-up. Oils can provide benefits, but they should be treated like the best friend of your natural hair. If your scalp is healthy and you have a quality, lightweight scalp oil, daily oiling is acceptable. However, if your scalp is free of medical issues and you have a quality, lightweight oil, daily oiling is not recommended.

This product is optimal for natural hairstyles such as wash and go and relaxed hair roller sets. It is most effective when applied to wet hair, although it can also be used on dry hair.

What are the benefits of blue magic hair grease?

At less than five dollars for a 12 ounce jar, it was affordable. How long should I go without washing my hair?
Washing your hair less often can be beneficial for its health, as dermatologists recommend not to shampoo daily. Depending on your hair type and scalp condition, you may be able to wait a week or longer before washing again. This is because washing hair less retains more of its natural oils, known as sebum, which are essential for hair protection, moisture, and strength. Shampoo cleanses remove sebum from the scalp, leaving hair feeling stripped-dry, brittle, and dull.
Overwashing can also make your scalp grease up faster, as the sebaceous glands overcompensate for the loss of oil, producing even more oil. To train your hair to go longer between washes, follow these steps:
- Choose a shampoo that suits your hair type and scalp condition.
- Wash your hair less frequently to retain more natural oils, which are essential for hair protection, moisture, and strength.

… grease is no other than blue magic original super sure girl y’all heard me say it this is the grease that i met my husband on when …
I’m so happy I went back to the old-school way of caring for my natural hair and that is with Blue Magic grease. I bought the one with the Indian hemp and also this one that’s featured in your article. It left my twist outs so very soft, shiny and defined! I only use water, leave in conditioner and blue magic grease. Game Changer! Your hair is absolutely beautiful and healthy!🥰 *New subbie here☺️
I use this on both of my son’s 2b hair and it works amazing. I apply a leave in, hair grease and then I cornrow it. My youngest gets itchy scalp on the top of his hair, he scratches so much it formed a sore. So one day I stared applying hair grease to the area and his itching stopped and his scalp healed really well.
New subie here😀. I have been using grease for a while, the indian hemp version, I don’t like it cos it makes my scalp itchy, I guess it’s because of the hemp in it tho because you can literally see the leaf inside and it’s very very very thick. I intend switching to a different brand that is lighter probably the castor oil or this one. Sincerely, I agree it really seals moisture. Lovely hair you’ve got.
I started using Blue magic faithfully in January of this year. Its now July, and i didn’t realize how thin my hair was in January until I tracked my growth. My hair feels thicker at the roots, my edges wemt from non existent to filling out, and an inches longer. Mixing it with castor oil helps Alot. My hair (4a/4b) gets too dry when I use the cream leave in conditioners though. Liquid leave in conditioner, with castor oil and blue magic workss wonders for me. ❤ Even if my hair feels dry it still looks moisturized with blue magic so I know it’s product build and I need a clarifying wash. I’m going to add Amla oil and rosemary to my routine and see what happens. ❤
I find it quite funny that so many black women are going back to hair grease and being surprised at how great it works on their hair, especially when majority of us grew up on hair grease. Its like we have some sort of amnesia, or perhaps we were so young we didn’t quite comprehend or care that it worked so well when we were children. The phrase that says “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” surely does apply here. Also it makes sense though when you stack up a product like hair grease thats likely been around for possibly 80 years verses these new products thats only been around for the last 15 years. Of course old school is going to win every time. Its a shame so many women called certain ingredients in hair grease bad without even researching what they were originally used for and why they are actually needed and beneficial. But anyway since going back to hair grease I’m not ever abandoning it again.😂😂
I recently combed out my locs and have decided to go back to using the original products I used as a child. Grease, Mane n’ Tail products, water, natural oil, shampoo, and conditioner. That’s it! I have this blue magic and the original one. Same thing with my face. I’ve recently started back using Vaseline and my face has slowly started to recover from years of breakouts, dark spots, etc.
I just bought this one for the first time after combing out my locs! And O M G, my hair loved it. I think I may have used too much but I didn’t even care because it smelled so good, and was working good for my chunky twists. I’m probably going to throw away most of my old products and go back to using what was used on me in the 90s!
