Gohan’s Mystic Power-Up transforms his ki into a Kai, ensuring his appearance doesn’t change when he goes Super Saiyan. However, Super Saiyan taps into an individual’s potential power relative to their base form, unlocking an amount fifty times greater than the base. It releases a portion of their hidden potential based on their base form’s strength.
Gohan cannot go Super Saiyan after getting the Mystic/Ultimate form, as it’s not a form as much as a full power. Gohan can turn into SSJ but not at the same time as Mystic. The only evident reason Gohan chooses Mystic over SSJ is probably strength. There is no clear definition on the matter, but there is no evidence that Gohan is able to stack his forms to become stronger.
Gohan’s Mystic Powerup IS his Super Saiyan transformation, and elder Kai tells him to powerup as if he were. He shouldn’t stack Super Saiyan on top of Potential Unleashed, as he should be able to access all of his power in Mystic. However, there is no reason why Super Saiyan can’t ever be stacked on top of it, or that transformations in general can’t be stacked together.
In conclusion, Gohan’s Mystic Power-Up is his Super Saiyan transformation, and holding his own doesn’t imply he can directly defeat Goku. Full power mystic Gohan might be stronger than SSJG.
📹 Ultimate Gohan Explained
Mystic Gohan Explained IS HERE! After Dragon Ball Super Episode 88, we finally found out the TRUE NATURE of Gohan. On this …
Can Gohan go Super Saiyan 4?
Broly, a character in Dragon Ball Heroes, can use his unique Super Saiyan, Legendary Super Saiyan, to transform into a Legendary Super Saiyan-type Great Ape, achieving a “Legendary Super Saiyan 4”. Hybrid Saiyans can also achieve Super Saiyan 4 without tails, as seen in Dragon Ball Heroes. The Super Saiyan 4 form, designed by character designer Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru, is a combination of Super Saiyan and Great Ape forms attained through the Golden Great Ape form.
It gives the Saiyan primal power while maintaining a humanoid appearance. This form may appear once every 1, 000 years, as Goku in “Saying Goodbye” describes his struggle to control his power at this level.
Can Gohan combine potential unleashed with Super Saiyan?
Potential Unleashed refers to all of one’s potential, including Super Saiyan Blue and Super Saiyan God. Gohan doesn’t need these forms as they already count into his potential. However, stacking them would weaken Gohan and make him weaker. The Ultimate/Mystic Form isn’t compatible with God forms, like Kaio-Ken can’t mix with Super Saiyan while alive. Goku can use Ultra Instinct alongside Super Saiyan God/Blue, but only with SSG and SSB, without a power boost. In the canon, Goku has only used Ultra Instinct with SSG and SSB, resulting in only SSG and SSB power and Autonomous Movement.
Could SS3 Goku beat Ultimate Gohan?
While not included in the original manga series, the Goku SSj3 is demonstrably more powerful than the Ultimate Gohan character, as seen in the Dragon Ball GT anime. It is a character that is recognized as part of the official Dragon Ball canon. Other popular manga series include Dragon Team, Frieza Force, Red Ribbon Army, Organization of Babidi, Team Universe 6, Pride Troopers, Dark Empire, Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Kai, Super, Daima, Super Dragon Ball Heroes, Dragon Ball GT, and Dr. Slump.
Why doesn’t Gohan get God Ki?
Gohan’s Ultimate/Mystic Powers are limited due to his lack of knowledge and training in Godly Ki. The original SSJG form introduced the concept of God Ki, as it was temporary and unstable. Gohan could have gone Super Saiyan or even Super Saiyan 2 in his Ultimate Form, but chose not to due to no need. If he did, Frieza in his Gold Form would have gotten blown away in one hit. Some believe Gohan should have been the Super Saiyan God and trained with Goku, Veeta, and Whis. The original SSJG form was a temporary introduction to God Ki in the series.
Why can’t mystic Gohan go Super Saiyan?
The ritual performed by Gohan with the Old Kai resulted in the unlocking of his power and its subsequent expansion beyond the limits of his Base form. This suggests that he is unable to surpass the boundaries of his Super Saiyan capabilities. In the Z series, Mystic manifested as a power-up rather than a form.
Is Mystic Gohan stronger than SSJ Gohan?
Ultimate Gohan is the character’s most powerful form, significantly stronger than other Saiyan transformations like Super Saiyan 3 and Super Saiyan God. The Elder Kai’s mystical ritual and additional training made Gohan’s previous transformations obsolete. In the anime, Gohan is equal in power to Super Saiyan Blue, but the manga makes the form even stronger. In the 2022 film, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, Gohan reaches an even more powerful transformation called Gohan Beast Form, or Gohan Final.
Triggered by the rage he felt after Cell Max killed his mentor Piccolo, Gohan completely maxed his limits, becoming a beast powerful enough to go toe to toe with Cell Max. Gohan Beast took a massive hit from Cell Max and annihilated his enemy’s core.
Can Gohan combine mystic and SSJ?
Gohan is unable to combine Super Saiyan with his ultimate form, as the latter’s objective is to harness the full extent of available power, thereby surpassing SSS 2 and utilising a more potent force without the drawbacks associated with it.
Is Super Saiyan 5 real?
Super Saiyan 5 is a hypothetical Saiyan transformation mentioned in Dragon Ball GT. It was speculated on by Bulma in reference to her Blutz Wave Generator, which she hoped would allow her husband, Vegeta, to ascend to Super Saiyan 4. Vegeta wondered if such a thing were possible and noted that with it, he would surpass Goku. In the original Japanese version, Bulma believed Vegeta could “surpass Super Saiyan 4”, to which Vegeta refers to the possibility of a Super Saiyan 5 by name.
In the Funimation dub, Bulma is the first to mention a possible Super Saiyan 5 by name. The transformation is a potential way for Vegeta to surpass Goku and surpass the previous Saiyan transformations.
Is Gohan potential unleashed stronger than SSj3?
Gohan’s Potential Unleashed form is said to be greater than the Super Saiyan 3 transformation, as it is a different power boost from Super Saiyan. Gohan’s immense dormant capacities require him to continue for several more hours, and his transformation sent massive shockwaves across the Sacred World of the Kai. Old Kai explained that Gohan’s unchanging appearance was due to his naturally harnessing so much power that there was no need to transform.
Gohan’s Ultimate state releases enough force to split the clouds and improves one’s sense, allowing him to maintain this state indefinitely throughout his daily life. Regular training is required to keep up with his peak performance, as lack of such training will leave the person unable to access this state.
Gohan overpowers Super Buu with little effort after a reunion with Goten, Trunks, and Piccolo. Super Buu blows himself up in an attempt to kill Gohan, but Gohan escapes the explosion and takes Piccolo and the boys to safety. Super Buu returns an hour later, insisting on finishing his fight with Gotenks before battling Gohan. However, once the boys fuse into Gotenks, they are immediately absorbed by Super Buu.
Can mystic Gohan beat Super Saiyan blue?
It is not possible for Gohan to undergo a Super Saiyan transformation while he is in his “ultimate” form, as Old Kai has already extracted the entirety of his power in its original, unadulterated state. Other popular games include Dragon Team, Frieza Force, Red Ribbon Army, Organization of Babidi, Team Universe 6, Pride Troopers, Dark Empire, Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Kai, Super, Daima, Super Dragon Ball Heroes, Dragon Ball GT, and Dr. Slump.
Can Gohan stack Mystic with Super Saiyan?
It is not possible for Gohan to become a Super Saiyan once he has acquired the Mystic/Ultimate form, as this is not a state of complete power but rather a form. Other popular games include Dragon Team, Frieza Force, Red Ribbon Army, Organization of Babidi, Team Universe 6, Pride Troopers, Dark Empire, Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Kai, Super, Daima, Super Dragon Ball Heroes, Dragon Ball GT, and Dr. Slump.
📹 Why Gohan STACKED Super Saiyan on Ultimate
In this video, we look at the World of Dragon Ball in more detail. Credit Source – KFTragic on X (KillaFoe)
According to what Elder Kai said that Gohan’s ultimate form is supposed to draw all of his latent potential to the maximum. At one point Elder Kai even suggested that Gohan could do that Super Saiyan thing and stack on top of his awakened abilities. Which if I’m being honest I think that’s what happened to GT Gohan during Dragon Ball GT when he fought against Omega Shenlong.
I’m going to take it one step further and say that eye “style” is unique to Goku and his kids. Yeah other people had partial outline and other people also have the full outline of the eyes, but with it changing between partial and full line I’ve noticed only Goku and his offsprings have that unique trait as saiyajins. Vegeta’s and trunk’s eyes were always fully outlined.
This form always bothered me because we never got any idea if this was possible during the run of GT because Gohan went Super Saiyan for his battles. The ultimate form always seemed like a foundation for Gohan to use after not training for a while, but his body could still reach a serious level through rage or absorbing the power from another source like a friend who is far stronger. For me it would’ve been easier to show a different hairstyle or eyes like Super Saiyan 4 to show there was something different about the power and if any variant of Super Saiyan was possible, then add the golden color or something else like orange to show the merging of powers.
Saiyan Scholar, it was said that in GT, Gohan did NOT possess the Ultimate form. However, in the original trailer for Battle of Gods, he had transformed into Ultimate then stacked Super Saiyan on top of it. Although not present in the movie, it is still present in other Dragon Ball files, either in article games or otherwise.
If Gohan actually kept up with his training I believe he would have unlocked a ssj – hybrid type of transformation different from a normal full blooded saiyan, showing just what a half breed is capable of. Or something cause I swear the writers don’t like Gohan he such a square until he goes mystic.
I tune out anything GT related. It’s not canon so I don’t care anything GT does. I always viewed Ultimate as a form beyond SSJ2, and that his hair went back to being dark because of his ultimate power behind derived from both his saiyan and human biology. I now view Beast as a form that is achieved by him being in his Ultimate form then having even more power unlocked through his rage boost. Kind of like how his rage boost pushed him behind SSJ and into SSJ2. I think that wherever Gohan’s base power is the determining factor with him pushing beyond his current limits; now that he’s almost 30 and has had a life filled with intense battles, training, and having his potential unlocked by a God, he’s able to reach a form similar to a God’s form. Edit: dude I love your articles but this one was kind of ridiculous. You focused half the article on his eyes 😅.
I like that fanfiction from Dragon Ball Absalon were it seems he draws energy from the planet so depending on what planet he’s on he could be more powerful though he didn’t seem to realize he even had that ability to draw energy from the planet like some sort of human spirit bomb or even maybe a sage I guess if he was fighting ninjas man cant wait for new material from Dragon Ball Absalon it’s been to long
The only inconsistency in GT for me is, that when baby was seeking out the greatest warrior he chose vegeta instead of gohan. If gohan truly never stopped training and was even able to stack super saiyan on top of ultimate, I doubt vegeta would have been comparable to gohans power. I don’t like ultimate as it’s portrayled in super as another kind of transformation and give credits to GT in that regard. Still gohan being able to stack super saiyan on top of ultimate feels somewhat sad? His ultimate form showing off his more human side of things, perfectly resonates with his personality and super saiyan on top of it kinda destroys this nice symbolism.
GT Gohan is pretty cool ngl. Its pretty obvious on if hes ultimate or not, the hair ain’t the indicator, its the eyes. If the eyes are filled then hes ultimate, if its halfway then hes base. Super definitely confuses the audience because they do both whenever hes ultimate or not, while super hero fixes it.
What’s funny about this article coming out today is how after perusal Yesterday’s article about Super Saiyan 2, I saw a article saying about how sorely underestimated GT Gohan is, and now today you consistently highlighted how broken he was by stating that he was going Super Saiyan while Ultimate throughout GT and my mind is blown. Like GOD DAMN, that’s glorious. Ultimate Super Saiyan Gohan was no match for Omega Shenron, that’s INSANE. The article I saw after your Super Saiyan 2 article yesterday was this one: youtu.be/UGfeFTfYR9Y?feature=shared
I’d like to say I remember in the 90s. When it came out that ultimate power sealed his super syia-jin form and wouldn’t become any stronger than whatever His top potential is, that’s why goku. Decided to pass on it because it would limit his power. And that’s not what goku is about. And I remember in the later 90s. Why people having a big deal about GT was because he turned super saia-jin and shouldn’t have been able to do. It should have been sealed. And it just felt that GT was just breaking more and more rules. I remember when I saw the teaser for resurrection f. And it showed gohan, not turning super saia-jin. And I got so happy saying to myself. Oh my god, he remembered, but it didn’t happen in the final product…
Isn’t the answer no. The Elder Kai says Gohan has access to all of his power without the need for transformation. Thats maximum Gohan baseform + maximum SSJ multiplier+ Oozaru this is the reason for the power jump. ( low estimation 2×-base, 100×-SSJ, 10×-Oozaru= 2000x increase. Goku around 400x.) When it comes to Beast that seem to be more in line with Broly’s wrathful form. A controllable rage boost.
I love the passion to theory crafting, and we all have to admit, this was left vague by the original author, and every author after didn’t know what to do with it. My head canon is that it’s his “FULL POTENTIAL” including Super Saiyan forms. Thematically Super Saiyan is something with you that you can tap into, it’s apart of their potential. I think Gohan can access ssj, but with no power gained. My reason for that being, why wouldn’t he use that against buu. He was ready to fuse with Goku, but not willing to try ult +ssj2? Seems weird. I agree that it super fumbled it, I wish it replaced his forms instead of being a form itself. Beast reminds me of true UI in that his emotions are the key to his power.
I believe i understand. Ultimate ability for Gohan is Gohan utilizing his latent Ki potential. That Ki surge he used to get whenever he was enraged or put in extremely frustrating situations. Ultimate ability for Gohan is more a representation of the full circle of this character’s historical story arc: The transcendence from youth to full adult-hood.
Gohan shouldn’t be able to stack SSJ on Ultimate at all. Toei just reverted Gohan back to his status quo too much, because the scene with SSJ Gohan in BOG was changed in the final movie. Yet in ROF they are back to acting like Gohan forgot. Then in Superhero he just goes Super Saiyan and Gohan “Beast” was just pulled out of nowhere based on a fanfic character, even though it doesn’t make sense or need to exist. Toei’s handling of Gohan is just all around bad.
I’ve always looked at the Ultimate power-up as having two levels, mirroring Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan 2, but with higher multipliers. Level 1 being Base x 500 and Level 2 being Base x 1,000. When Old Kai tells Gohan to power-up, he goes from Base to Level 1 Ultimate. He stays that way until going face-to-face with Super Buu. He then reaches Level 2 Ultimate. His power clearly increases between those two points in time as indicated by Piccolo’s dialogue. During the Fusion Saga, I believe that the Ultimate power-up overrides Super Saiyan as a whole. In GT, we know Gohan continues to train. I think his Level 2 Ultimate power eventually becomes his Base and he’s able to use Super Saiyan on top of that. Here are some numbers. Obviously, not official, but just to explain where I’m coming from… FUSION SAGA (Z) Base Gohan: 7.5 billion (after having his potential unlocked) Ultimate Gohan, Level 1: 3.75 trillion Ultimate Gohan, Level 2: 7.5 trillion BLACK STAR DRAGON BALL SAGA (GT) Base Gohan: 7.5 trillion Super Saiyan Gohan: 375 trillion When it comes to Super, I have no clue what’s going on.
Ultimate Gohan: Brings out the maximum of his latent potential as a hybrid saiyan, WITHOUT activating S-Cells… hence much calmer, less violent, etc. It’s the “human” side transformation, because he isn’t using Saiyan-inherent techniques. Beast Gohan: When the S-Cells in Ultimate Gohan activate. Essentially Super Saiyan of ultimate Gohan. Just like SSB is Super Saiyan of SSG (to be fair, the Super term in SSG is a misnomer, since its just Saiyan that can use God Ki… which is why SSG always looks like a red colouration of the base forms, not the super saiyans).
