Can Ranged Spellstrike Be Used With Cone Spells?

Eldritch Archer is a Magus archetype that can be used to cast melee touch spells modified by Reach. However, it is not required to use ranged spellstrike, as scorching rays can be cast with spell combat and without spellstrike. A spell with (**) after its name indicates that you can only put up to 2 actions into the spell per the Spellstrike RAW.

A spell with a cantrip (acid orb) works with ranged spellstrike. It is important to avoid using ranged spellstrike with higher-level spells that are important to hit with. Spells targeting a creature or having an area of a burst, cone, or line have either targets or target points.

Eldritch Archer can cast a spell and use their bow simultaneously as long as they toggle on “Ranged Spell Combat”. At 16th level, an eldritch archer can use ranged spellstrike to deliver a cone- or line-shaped spell as a ray, affecting only the creature or object struck.

Starting at 7th level, when you hit a creature with a Spellstrike, you infuse additional power binding them, reducing their movement speed by 10 feet. Touch spells cast in this way benefit from your weapon’s crit range and reach, allowing you to cast damage spells that crit on a 15+ or land debuffs from a distance. Starting at 19th level, when you use a spellstrike, you can spellstrike again with the same spell without expending a spell slot.

In summary, Eldritch Archer can be used to cast melee touch spells, ranged spells, and other powerful spells.

What to mix with Fireball?

FireballCoke is a popular drink that can be mixed with various ingredients, including hot chocolate, ginger beer, coffee, apple cider, carrot juice, and orange soda. The heat of Fireball doesn’t alter its taste, and it blends well with Coke’s familiar flavors. People have been adding cinnamon to chocolate drinks since the Aztecs. To enjoy Fireball, add a jigger of the hot stuff to a glass and top it off with one of these mixers. While Pepsi’s spicy cola experiment may have caused a change, it doesn’t mean you should either.

Cinnamon has been added to chocolate drinks since the Aztecs, and Fireball and hot cocoa takes advantage of this centuries-old tradition and adds a whiskey kick that’s perfect for a bleak winter’s day.

Will two fireballs get me drunk?

The quantity of alcohol that an individual can consume is contingent upon a number of factors, including their tolerance and the composition of their stomach contents. However, it is not uncommon for most people to experience a state of intoxication after the consumption of approximately three to four shots of alcohol.

Does SpellStrike provoke attacks of opportunity 2e?

This text explains that when making an attack with a melee weapon, you can spend Resolve Points equal to the spell’s level to channel a spell with a range of touch and a casting time of 1 standard action or less through the attack. This expends the spell as though you had cast it, but does not provoke an attack of opportunity. On a successful hit, both the normal damage of the melee weapon and the spell’s effect are applied to the target, and on a critical hit, both are doubled. The spell remains charged until expended in a hit, another spell is cast, or combat ends.

What pairs best with Fireball?

Fireball can be used in a variety of milkshakes, including vanilla, chocolate, or espresso ice cream, and milkshake flavors like apple pie, peanut butter, horchata, eggnog, espresso, caramel, or pumpkin pie. To enhance the taste, add whipped cream, graham crackers, popcorn, and other garnishes. It is important not to use more than 1 ½ ounces of booze in your milkshake, as more than a single shot can cause the ice cream to melt quickly.

Mixing coffee and Fireball can give your brew a pleasant cinnamon note. Pour a shot of Fireball into a hot mug of coffee, and if you want a creamy element, add Baileys or your favorite creamer to the mix. This simple and unique milkshake recipe is perfect for those who prefer a stronger drink.

What is banned in Fireball?

Fireball, a popular frozen food brand, temporarily halted sales in Norway, Sweden, and Finland in 2014 due to a small recipe-related compliance issue. The chemical used to contain the anti-freeze ingredient, propylene glycol, was deemed less toxic than ethylene glycol, which was used in anti-freeze. Despite the FDA stating that propylene glycol is generally recognized as safe when used in food, Fireball removed the chemical from its recipe. The incident has been reported by Sazerac.

Can Fireball be mixed?

Fireball is a popular cocktail that pairs well with both hard and non-alcoholic seltzers, with citrus flavors like lemon, lime, and grapefruit being the best combination due to their strong cinnamon notes. However, experimentation is encouraged to find the perfect combination for your taste. Fireball’s website recommends the Hard Seltzer On Fire, which is a unique drink made by adding a shot of Fireball to a can or pint of hard seltzer. However, it is important to note that combining Fireball with another alcoholic beverage increases the boozy effect, so it should be enjoyed responsibly.

Both hard and non-alcoholic seltzers are low in calories and sugar, making them a great option for lighter, healthier cocktails. Guinness, a stout beer with subtle malt, vanilla, chocolate, and coffee notes, complements the cinnamon in Fireball, creating a creamy, well-balanced drink with a bit of heat. Mixing Fireball with beer also makes for a potent beverage, so it is recommended to drink only one or two at a time.

How does ranged Spellstrike work?

Upon reaching the second level, an eldritch archer is able to cast a ranged spell utilizing a ranged weapon in lieu of the typical free ranged attack. This enables the archer to undertake one free ranged attack with a ranged weapon at their highest base attack bonus, without extending the range of the spell.

Why is Fireball being discontinued?

Fireball Whisky is being recalled in Europe due to its high levels of propylene glycol, an additive that prevents evaporation and stabilizes foods. The product is being recalled in Norway, Sweden, and Finland due to a batch of the North American recipe, which contains higher levels of propylene glycol. The manufacturer claims that Fireball liqueur is prepared according to North American food regulations but does not meet the European Union’s stricter standards on propylene glycol. However, it is not being recalled in the United States.

How many actions is Spellstrike?

A spell can be channeled into a combined attack by casting a spell that takes 1 or 2 actions and requires a spell attack roll. The effects of the spell are imbued into the attack, while a melee Strike with a weapon or unarmed attack is coupled with the spell, calculating the effects of both attacks. This doubles the attack’s multiple attack penalty, but only applies after the Spellstrike is completed.

The spell’s arcane trait grants the Strike magical properties. Recharging the Spellstrike requires a single action with the concentrate trait and a conflux spell that takes at least 1 action. Focus spells do not recharge the Spellstrike.

How do you recharge SpellStrike?

Once Spellstrike has been utilized, it cannot be reused until it has been recharged as a single action with the concentrate trait. Recharge occurs when a conflux spell requiring at least one action is cast, and a focus spell of another type does not recharge it.

  • I’ve been playing a Span magus and Tanglefoot is really good when you can deliver it at sniper range. The one thing I don’t think you really mentioned is that you get to use spell attack rolls with weapon attack accuracy, which means you’ll be both landing hits and getting those potent crit effects more often than a caster would. Force Fang (level 2 feat) is also an excellent burst damage option because it gives you straight damage with no MAP or save and also recharges your spellstrike in one action.

  • i’m playing a laughing shadow magus in a campaign that’s been going for a while but i just joined- last session, my character was dueling another player character and on round 2 she made her first attack with a spell strike, crit, and did 104 damage, instantly knocking the other player to 0 HP. it was fun!

  • Was this article before the psychic class came out? Because imaginary weapon is crazy with this class. Also, with the new rules in the remaster, it’s ALOT easier to manage focus spells. It’s so much harder to deplete a magus with the new rules on the refocus activity. I rarely use spell slots to spellstrike with because of how good the psychic focus spells are.

  • Excellent article! Would have really helped when I was creating my Magus^^ Playing my Twisting Staff Magus. I am thorougly enjoying him. Wanted to point out that expansive Spellstrike is even better if you have reach since you get way more flexibility with how you place your cones/lines. (As origin select any square adjecent to the target you hit!) Also it is a slight DPR decrease but Spellstriking every second round with True Strike and then recharging and doing other stuff the next round makes him strategic as hell!

  • What action do you use to recharge? I’m new to the game and a little confused. The vid says repeatedly recharge then spellstrike. Is there a single action called recharge that has the concentrate trait in it or do you just choose a random single action with said trait or am I completely wrong on both counts. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Great vid by the way.

  • I feel that they made the Magus over complicated in P2e.Honestly its really not that much fun. All they really needed to do is allow them Spellstrike and give them their own spell list (pulled form existing spells, no need to reinvent the wheel) and a restricted number of spell slots but more than they have now. Most players, like the vast majority of players, are casual RPG’ers. They want to play some sort of spell blade but don’t want a graduate class to learn how to play it. No need to have all these subtle ways to max their number of Spellstrike attacks and clever ways to get more spells (requiring you to know 2 classes now and the Archetype rules). The hard core gamers that know P2e inside and out, sure but the majority of players, not so much.
