Can Spells Be Bounced Off Each Other By Beamsplitter Mages?

Beamsplitter Mage is a 2/2 for UR that allows you to double up your fun with spells by targeting your own Beamsplitter. When you cast an instant or sorcery spell targeting Beamsplitter Mage, it triggers when you cast the spell. If you jumpstart the quasiduplicate effect after targeting one of the mages, you can copy the spell targeting your other mage and then copy that spell targeting another mage. However, this effect does not bounce, as it only gives you an extra beamsplitter and another creature you want another copy.

When casting an instant or sorcery spell targeting only Beamsplitter Mage, choose one of those creatures if you control one or more other creatures that the spell could target. Beamsplitter Mage only triggers when you cast a spell that targets it, not off of becoming the target of a copied spell. Copies of spells are not cast, and neither trigger condition can be fulfilled by copying a spell.

An effect like Twincast or Beamsplitter Mage, which can copy a spell with storm, will only create one new spell. The copy’s storm ability triggers whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell that targets only Beamsplitter Mage and no other object or player.

To make the copy from the first Mage’s trigger target the second Mage, triggering the second Mage’s ability, and keeping bouncing spells back between them, choose one of those creatures.
