Can We Give Someone Astrological Shoes?

Gifting shoes to a lover is not a strict rule, but it can be seen as a curse if the couple is dating but not living together. Vastu Shastra suggests that pens and handkerchiefs can cause disharmony in the life of the person receiving these gifts. Black clothes are associated with Saturn, and while astrology is not a strict rulebook for gifting, it can offer guidance on what to avoid to ensure your gift resonates positively with the recipient’s energy and preferences.

Sharp items, such as knives, should not be given as gifts. Astrology posits that our sun sign also reveals similarities in our personalities and interests, making the zodiac a great place to turn when thinking about what to give. Leather purses, belts, shoes, bags, and even items for decoration purposes alone are primarily rules by the planet Ketu. Gifting of such items is like gifting Ketu to a person.

Astrology can help us find the perfect gift for various people, including picky individuals, employees, Gen-Zers, and dads. However, consulting someone’s star chart is not the only way to find the perfect gift. Astrology can reveal personality traits, love languages, and more about someone before even getting to know them.

It is believed that gifting shoes may feel disrespectful, as it comes in pairs, and if gifted to someone who is far from us, they may get away. In astrological shoes, the influence of the Saturn is present, so it is better to avoid shoes for gifting.

Blessing shoes, drawing protective sigils or runes under the insert, and making the shoes unlucky are also considered astrological gifts. Mirrors are believed to reflect negative energy, so it is best to avoid giving them as gifts. In some cultures, giving shoes as a gift can be seen as an attempt to walk away from a relationship, inviting bad luck into the relationship.

What is the shoe gifting theory?

The “shoe theory break-up” is a Chinese superstition that states that giving someone a pair of shoes triggers a curse, causing them to “walk away”. The phenomenon first appeared on TikTok a few months ago, and unmarried women have been sharing heart-breaking stories, including those who were left shortly after getting a pair of shoes. TikToker Angela Chan claims that her mother introduced her to the theory when she was a little girl.

What is the tradition of gifts in shoes?

Many countries celebrate St. Nicholas separately from Christmas, with St. Nicholas Eve and St. Nicholas Day on December 5th-6th. One tradition involves putting “offerings” in shoes, exchanged for gifts or treats. This practice is popular in European and Eastern countries, particularly those with a strong Catholic following. The tradition grew from the story of St. Nicholas throwing bags of dowry money into impoverished families, and has become the main focus of St. Nicholas Day over the years. To have a great Christmas, leave clean shoes by the fireplace or window, as St. Nick might fill them with luscious treats.

Can we share shoes to someone?

Vastu Shastra advises against sharing shoes and slippers with others, as they are associated with Shani, a factor that can bring problems and poverty. It also states that borrowing others’ pens is considered wrong, as a person’s fate is associated with their pen. If the borrower is experiencing bad luck, it is advisable to return the borrowed pen. Additionally, a watch, which indicates the time and future good and bad times, is associated with the owner’s difficult times. If the borrower is going through a difficult time, it is advised not to borrow and wear someone else’s watch, as it can negatively affect one’s life.

What not to donate astrology?

In certain cultural beliefs, sharp objects like knives and scissors are considered inauspicious for donation, as they symbolize the act of cutting ties or severing relationships. Despite being universally considered noble acts, it is important to exercise caution when making certain donations. Astrology suggests that donating items that are no longer in use or damaged should be discouraged, as it may not align with the intended purpose of donation.

In Ephesians 6:15, the shoe is used as a symbol of readiness to preach peace. In Exodus 3, God instructed Moses to remove his shoes, thereby demonstrating reverence to God and establishing a master-servant relationship, given that the ground he stood on was considered holy.

  • Thank-you Preetika for such an amazing amazing article!!! Your meticulous hard work can be seen in this article and how nicely you have tried to cover so many intresting topics with such awesome questions.. You have helped me SO MUCH with your article by bringing out this knowledge through Deepanshu Sir… Thankyou😊

  • I am NOT saying guru is wrong about cats being Rahu and dogs being Ketu. But the way I see it is Cats have more Ketu personality qualities (introverted, private, reclusive, mysterious, detached, goes unnoticed) and dogs have more Rahu personality qualities (extroverted, outgoing, networking, loves to explore, loves ATTENTION, get jealous, noisy, want a more more and more). But the common understanding is what Guru said.

  • What can be gifted – new clothes, used clothes after dry clean, plants, money, bags, sweets, untensiles made of copper, silver, gold, brass, books, itar which doesn’t have alcohols . You can gift moon, venus,Jupiter, sun related items What should not be gifted – utensils made of steals, kach, electric items, perfume

  • I see a lot of negative comments here, for starters it’s her website, she can do anything! Secondly just because you are his student you don’t get the right to bully her or leave negative comments, you are basically being disrespectful to your own guru! Be grateful first for this interview and that too you are perusal it free!!

  • In south India we generally give fruits, coconut, sweets, flowers, plants, cloths, sindoor and glass bangles . Glass bangles are not Rahu. Perfumes, chocolates, leather bags, alcohol electronic home appliances, mobile phone are Rahu, steel iron, oil, til are saturn. We don’t give oil, salt and pickle on Tuesdays . We don’t give cash on Tuesday and Friday. We don’t gift things or cloths in black colour. We don’t give dry fruits.

  • Hello, I saw the interview. It’s a good interview and you try to cover a wide range of topics but there are couple of observations and points which I would like to share 1) There is a marked difference between Gift and Donation both on the physical and spiritual plane so in my view you could have a different session for each. I would try to explain with the following points why I am saying so 2) Himanshuji has mentioned that Saturn Related items should not be given, for example shoes(Saturn) . I understand what he is saying that but assume the following scenario which is realistic \t- A person’s business is going great. He is going to his office around 11:00 AM and saw an old man going barefoot on the coal tar road in the peak summer. He felt compassionate by looking at his condition as how he is moving barefooted. He thought of giving his used shoes to him so that he can get comfort. But a thought came to his mind that if I give my shoes saturn would not be favorable for me which can affect by business moving ahead so refrain from doing that and instead offer sweets(venus) to him which is there in car as well. \t- There is another person passing on the same road and his business as well is going well. He felt the same after looking at that person and decided to give his shoes out of compassion. He did that. \t \tNow the points to ponder, who would the old man bless the one who gives sweets or shoes? Would the business of the person donating shoes be in loss in future? Lord Saturn would be pleased by whom one who thinks about his business refrain from donation of his shoes or the one who donated that?

  • OMG….so much of complexity can never be followed practically. The west never follows this way….but still they r doing good. If u are filling all this into daily mundane life….its so difficult. Last Jan.all thatKarma baggage…..all these calculations r beyond the real of human calculations. We should not bother too much excepting that keep ur mind and hear pure and truthful ASAP. This is the best way to live.

  • Gratitude for this wonderful session 💐 continue…… And according deepanshu sir to win emotiona balance we should offer sindur to Hanuman Ji.. And deepanshu sir tald in earlier article, saturn 4th house native should try to balance her emotionaal level . Then my question is that saturn 4th house native should offer sindur to hanuman ji🙏

  • I usually like Deepanshu’s stuff, but a lot of this is totally rubbish. Not giving electronics or steel items, really? Not throwing away shoes when you’re business is going well – give me a break. Giving anything with open heart and the person receiving being joyful provides a lot of punya – not “bad luck”. None of this is in Shastra and is all made up.

  • Brass utensils for wedding gift because brass is one of the significations of sun? All three sun, saturn and jupiter makes abusive and adulterous husbands. Also, gold is not the original metal for sun. He stole it from another entity most probably from Brahma. However, it does carry the malefic effects of the sun and to some extent jupiter’s. This is what makes western men as spouses less violent and abusive compared to eastern men as spouses because westerners barely wear gold in their weddings. This also makes western men more likely to divorce rather than cheat on their wives

  • I bought a durga statue and a rakhi for my cousin who lives in the US last rakshabandhan. I told him that and he said it’s okay because it’ll cost me to courier it. He is much older to me, by the way. It has been four months and it’s still at home. I haven’t couriered it to him. Is he saying it’s okay a sign that giving him this gift isn’t good for me or either of us? (Was it like a warning?) Or will it be good if I courier it? (I mean could be also be gathering unwanted energy holding a gift that I bought for someone else.) Any thoughts on this?

  • Again wrong concept dog is Rahu and Cat is Ketu. Lal Kitab is very clar on this point. Lal Kitab says if you have problem with Ketu, keep a Black Dog. Note that it says remedy. For example if there is high temeperature you need AC (cold). If you there is too much cold, you need fire or blanket. Therefore rememdy of Ketu is to bring Rahu to balance out the energy. See how this guy is actually misleading people.

  • Preethika just because you know basics of astrology you think you can discuss/converse with Deepanshu ji. He is an expert, so you have to be a student or seeker. So simply ask questions and get the answers from him. This is not the place you exhibit your knowledge, you have to let the guest speak and get maximum information from him. Please note this for future interviews.(Not to hurt you,but just an suggestion)
