Conspiracy theories, often associated with societal harms like QAnon or COVID-related conspiracies, can be influenced by personality traits and motivations. People are prone to believing in conspiracy theories due to their intuition, feeling antagonism, and superiority. Far-right QAnon communities have frequently used celebrity deaths as a basis for their conspiracy theories. Musicians Beyoncé, Paul McCartney, and Avril Lavigne have faced rumors of being replaced by clones, while some versions claim that a shadowy group called the conspiracy is behind the events.
Despite numerous studies examining conspiracy theories, it remains unclear who demographically is most likely to believe them. Psychologists’ research offers insight into why people put faith in conspiracy theories, such as QAnon. Misinformation spurred the mob that stormed the Capitol, highlighting the disastrous effects of such theories.
Conspiration theories about the deaths of individual persons or groups of people can be dangerous. For example, wealthy and powerful sex offender Jeffrey Epstein has been invoking him in conspiracy theories. However, polls show that less people believe these theories.
The impulse to use celebrity deaths as fodder for bigger conspiracy theories has gone into practice. For example, Kurt Cobain, the lead singer and guitarist of the American rock band Nirvana, was found dead in 1994. Karen Douglas, PhD, discusses psychological research on how conspiracy theories start, why they persist, who is most likely to believe them, and whether they are based on adult obsession.

📹 Joe Rogan | Chester & Chris Death Conspiracy (With Eddie Bravo)
UFC commentator and the host of the JRE podcast, Joe Rogan, is visibly upset when long-time friend Eddie Bravo discusses a …
Eddie does have a point, Chris Cornell had broken ribs, fractured skull from blunt force trauma, blood spatter on the walls and on two doors, defence wounds too, that doesn’t happen from just hanging yourself, and pretty much the same happened with Chester but Chester did not have head trauma just broken ribs, the detective on the scene where chesters body was said this is a murder made to look as a suicide as he picked up on all the tell tail signs right away. I hope the clintons and all involved with their deaths die of painful cancer! R.I.P. Chris and Chester we all love you xx
Talking about or speculating on someone’s death in and of itself is not disrespectful. Saying something “hateful” about the deceased would be not a generic discussion. Where does this bs come from. The minute someone dies you can’t say anything out of “disrespect”. Fuck that. That’s how people get away with murder.
Eddie is not being disrespectful. If I was MURDERED and someone set it up so my poor family believed I committed suicide, I WOULD ABSOLUTELY WANT THEM TO KNOW THE TRUTH!!!!!!!These two men were friends and both died under very similar and very odd circumstances. Neither left a note which is funny because theyre both lyricists and were writing poems and songs before they were singing in bands and writing is what they compulsively do. I know, Ive been writing poems/songs/lyrics since I was 13 and I have no less than 40 notebooks with every line of every page filled. I can’t believe Chris & Chester would leave their 8 children behind without so much as an explanation. Especially after Chester just saw what Chris’s suicide did to his children, friends and family.
Joe behaves like he doesn’t want to talk about it because he is so close to Chester which isn’t the case at all, Eddie used to be in a few bands and was trying to make it in the music industry with his metal bands before he rolled into Jiu Jitsu, he has way more of a connection to Chester than Joe ever had.
Joe Rogan always has to be right, he always has to have the “cool” point of view. Eddie is just talking about certain circumstances that are already being discussed. Things that should be discussed. If they were victimized, and brutally murdered, its disrespectful to not talk about it. Especially when it has already been stated that Cornell would have never killed himself. Listening to Rogan is like listening to my ex girl half the time.
Soon as I heard about Chester and how Chris Cornell died the same way, I felt something wasn’t right. Especially because Chester/Chris was about to reveal something that they had found related to their foundation. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if he was murdered along with Chris Cornell and Prince. Prince was always speaking out against the powers that be, he spoke out about a lot of things. I think all three of them were killed to be honest, but that’s just an opinion. I don’t think it’s disrespectful to question and seek the truth about their deaths. There have been many deaths that were staged by those in power. The CIA does these things all the time so why not question it? They’ve tried to make Corey Feldman disappear by trashing his reputation by focusing the media on his drug abuse … I’m guessing that given the foundation that Chester & Chris had; the big thing they uncovered might have been related to what Corey came public with. There are certain people in power who would kill to prevent that sort of thing from becoming public; it’s a viable motive to target both of them and make it look like their depression was the cause. By most accounts, Chester and Chris were doing well in their struggle against depression. Being one who suffers from depression and have been all my life; when you’re in a good place, it’s not likely for you to take that sudden turn. I’m not saying it doesn’t happen, I’m saying it doesn’t add up for me; even with their depression.
I agree with both of them, but more with Eddie. 1. Every suicide should be investigated as a potential murder and the investigation should start IMMEDIATELY. 2. People (especially the media) should refrain from baseless conspiracies. If you have evidence or have information regarding a criminal investigation, take it to the station. 3. There’s one 2 times you should go public on these sensitive matters. a. You’re life is in danger, or fear repercussions from making a statement to law enforcement. b. You need the public’s help finding a suspect or witness. At the end of the day, this is America and you’re free to say what you want, however in my 14 yrs exp as Multnomah County Deputy District Attorney, baseless conspiracies only complicate investigations and get in the way of bringing those accountable to justice.
EXACTLY, Be respectful by speaking truth to power, for their legacy. Chris Cornell — no way did he commit suicide, period. Chester’s supposed suicide, ( MURDER) just solidified the fact that it wasn’t suicide, his death wasn’t and Chris’s wasn’t. They were MURDERED. It’s NOT DISRESPECTFUL to seek the Truth, dude, you’re a shill for those who kill. (obviously) Totally with you Eddie Bravo!!! ~ It’s a heroic act to speak the truth in times of epic deceit. You rock!
Personally, I would be honored that friends or fans would care enough to look into any possibilities of foul play or alternative explanations, if I suddenly left this world without explanation. AND… I would actually consider it apathy and indifference, not honor of my memory, if people who claimed to care about me flat-out refused to look deeper into the facts or evidence surrounding something so tragic as my final moments, with suspicious circumstances. When you are an empath, with a lot to say, especially gifted with a voice to share your thoughts (via music or artistic notoriety), death can sudenly silence all you were trying to say in this dimension. The only voice you may still have left here… Is the voice of those who loved you, daring to speak up. Daring to keep alive the vision of how you lived, and for what causes your heart beat for the strongest. This “conspiracy” of child abuse was a fact that Chester openly experienced and promised to battle. He spoke with gleaming eyes of looking forward to the baby stages of his newest child, and relished in the beauty of every aspect of that innocence. He also publicly raged against those twisted beings who hurt or defile those innocents (from personal memories of abuse himself). He joined Cornell in battling what they both believed was a child sex trafficking ring that needed to be exposed and stomped out. He was a soldier for that cause, in hopes of rescuing future children from the unthinkable. Whether he was snuffed out in battle by an enemy “sniper” so to speak.
Same with Kurt Cobain, where he had a really high Heroin level on his blood that he couldn’t have even pick up a gun from how stoned he was, let alone a gunshot. The dude wasn’t suicidal when his daughter was born, and was willing to get himself clean and maybe “dump” Courtney Love as well, that’s why I never wanted to believe the suicide theory at all. Layne Staley, on the other hand, well, that’s a different story. He planned everything from 1996, when he lost his fiancee Demri and he bought that condo. The guy was severely ill from all the Heroin he did, he wasn’t “no longer on this planet” the last day of his life, according to Mike Starr (the last person who ever saw him alive). He knew what he was gonna get into, had no hope left for his life, and he just wanted to end it all. Chris, Kurt and Chester, on the other hand, I don’t think they ever wanted to end their life.
There are plenty of reasons to be suspicious of C.C.’s and C.B.’s “suicides”. Both of these men were prolific WRITERS, but neither of them left a note? It does not make sense. For either of them, but especially Chester. New album, new tour, wife, SIX KIDS, tons of success, millions of adoring fans. And no note? People who commit suicide leave notes. I have trouble believing either of them committed suicide.
Joe is not making any sense right now if there was any kind of chance that she did not kill himself and there was foul play you should use your platform to have people look into it and demand answers or a better investigation if some kind of foul play occurred and he was murdered and didn’t kill him self and it seems like Joe’s kind a skating away from that for some reason it’s not even disrespectful for Eddie to be looking into this because it’s just bringing awareness that something could’ve happened and if they wait too long to talk about it like Joe saying a lot of people just lose their interest because that’s how the American people are there attention spans are the same as a goldfish and they’ll move on and forget all about it and then justice will not be served if there was something nefarious that happened
Joe, I can say with conviction that both Chester and Chris would feel disrespected by you silencing a voice of integrity. Both men spoke out about the same treachery and perversion at the hands of many politicians, had many names to name, and then extemporaneoisly died in the same way within three months of one another. Both their bodies bore immense evidence of having been broken in places shortly before being discovered dead. The most disrespectful thing a person could is silence those who speak the truth.
Eddie Bravo is 100% correct. There is no coincidence in life. Everything happens for a reason. EVERYTHING!!! While perhaps this discussion should have happened much later after Chester’s death… it is very important to their families and fans world wide that the truth come out!! They were murdered ladies and gentlemen. I know this as the skies are blue. Not because I knew them personally, not because I am a crazy nutcase, and surely not because I am a sheep who follows anyone. But, because I was a fan from day one of both, Chris and Chester. The truth is all I ask for. God bless their families and Rest in peace <3
Depression is the devil that can exist in ANYONE. It’s not always apparent. I certainly didn’t expect Chris Cornell to commit suicide due to depression. Chester certainly didn’t keep his depression a secret but I was still shocked and heartbroken about his death. Without concrete proof, conspiracy theories will remain just that
There’s numerous amounts of interviews with Chester where he openly discusses his struggles with mental health. Joe handled this in the best manner. To discuss the nature of his passing and correlate it to some conspiracy, is not just disrespectful it’s delusional. People do not think clearly today, Eddie Bravo is a prime example of that. When it comes to his claims about ribs being broken, this is actually quite common during CPR, nurses do it all the time accidentally using too much force. If you’ve ever taken the course they make this a point not to use all your weight and force while performing the movements because while a person is unconscious, they’re muscles are relaxed entirely. Class act move by Rogan. Bravo, get some help.
I think both Chris and Chester would want people to bring light to this subject regardless if they were M or Suic…because the Traff…is beyond real and REAL people were standing up for these woman, children, men victims of brutality. Look at all these rich ppl into this and getting caught. So, I’m thankful to these people for their art, but having the heart for mankind speaks even louder!
If you’ve ever been certified in CPR one of the things the instructor tells you is “you will crack the ribs of the person you’re trying to revive” Also, bodies are heavy. Lets say chris cornell weighed 165 pounds. That is suspended and rigor mortis has set in. You have lets say 3 people trying to lower the body. One has to cut the rope while the other two are going to be trying to balance a body that has relieved its bowels and is stiff as a board. In order to not get deceased poop on their clothes, they cant get him from the front and back. Knowing he’s already dead, it isn’t exactly a huge deal if he suffers a fatal wound post mortem. Im sure they did their best to not hit him on anything, but he could have slipped from their grip and hit his head on something as they lowered him. If the fall was hard enough to crack his skull, the impact would more than likely crack his ribs. If it was decided that CPR would be redundant, there is a second explanation on the broken ribs aside from CPR. Conspiracy theorists sit around getting high asking questions while other people go out into the world and seek answers. Don’t believe anything you’re told until you found out the evidence for yourself. That being said, everyone in this thread just does what theyre told by eddie bravo. They go to the first fake news source they can find and pollute their brains with nonsense because it “seems legit”
Joe is trying to be respectful..I agree with him and Eddie typically is a bit too farout for me with his conspiracy theories and shit but every once in a while he brings up some interesting stuff, I think it should be discussed but like Joe says.. He had just passed away so I think it should atleast be sent aside for a few days until more information gets out and everyone else has a chance to let it settle. U can’t just start bringing that stuff up the day after a death. Joe has always been a conspiracy guy as well I just think he was in a bad mood and stuff that day she Eddie likes to pay boundaries a bit sometimes… Not intentionally it’s just the way he is, he just wants to know which is fine but give it a little while she then analyze the info. I met Eddie once. My best friend Brandons father is a fighter and trained in tenth planet jujitsu and opened his own gym in Indianapolis. I used to train with him and his buddies and he goes to California every year to get medical marijuana because from his younger fighting days he has been hit in the head and stuff so many times that it’s caused brain damage and he has seizures time to time. The Marijuana helps but on one of his trips her met up with Eddie and asked if he’d be at the Grand opening of his training gym for mixed martial arts so he agreed.. And brought some fucking funk! His weed was insane. We all got fucking shredded and then sparred and stuff. Cool fucking dude
No joke I saw a dude who looked exactly like chester, sounded like chester, in Arizona, he said he lived here all of his life(chester was born there), my theory(based off what I saw) is that chester faked his death to get away from the spotlight after Chris Cornell died, I love LP, but just from what I saw, that’s what I thought, and this was a few months after chester died
There are articles out there on YT of Chester literally screaming out for help where stating that when he is alone with his thoughts he is in a very dark place and that he felt there was “another Chester” inside his head telling him to end it all, he suffered from severe depression and he chose the date of his bests friend bday who also died from suicide to end the pain. If you look at a lot of Cornell’s lyrics you’d see he was crying out for help as well. Pretty Noose, Like Suicide, Outshined, the Day I tried to Live, Blow Up the outside World, What You Are, Face Pollution, Like A Stone, etc all reference suicide. Read the lyrics to the above songs and it’s pretty obvious. These guys had inner demons that got the best of them. No conspiracy, not everything is a conspiracy. People sustain broken ribs from CPR all the time. I’m with Rogan on this one. Yes it’s good to question shit but all of the deceased’s friends and family saw the signs and know what these two went through mentally. People expose high profile sex rings all the time and they’re obviously still with us because those stories got out
Both Chester and Chris fought with addiction, depression, and self loathing. Misery unfortunately loves company. You get people with those struggles and issues together and it could lead to some very tragic outcomes. Things all could have gone the same way had they not befriended one another…then again it could have changed things completely. I loved them both. They were beautiful people that struggled with the same feelings so many of us do. There is no conspiracy. Just a damn tragedy.
If you state the idea of someone’s suicide being a cover for a murder you better have a damn good set of credible evidence and true to form facts before making an ass out of yourself by insinuating that it’s odd and needs to be looked into. Also it’s important to understand Chester was a very influential music artist and amazing person who had a troubled past so for anybody to go on and claim something about his suicide being murder without any leads or evidence is very disrespectful
Whats fuxd up about Joe is he’ll talk about any/everything untill he doesn’t 😮He know chester or Chris didnt kill themselves 😮he knows what happed to both of them🤔(You cant deny the resemblance in the way they passed) And he knows that if he talks about ieither one of them that “THE POWERS THAT BE” will deal with shim😢
Sometimes you’ve got to put your precious feeling aside and steal yourself for what needs to be done, you can grieve after it’s been proven 100% that the headline is true, or you can grieve after the potential piece of shit has answered for what they’ve done. It astounds me how easily people just lay down and accept this shit. Not saying it’s either way, you should just exhaust all the possibilities before you decide on what to accept.
I understand Joes position being this is his podcast and all but… Inconsistencies need to be questioned!! No matter what the case is. If I died under these circumstances then I WOULD want people to ask questions and talk about it. Yeah Eddie believes the world is flat and all but at least he has the balls to form his own opinion and not scared to express those opinions on a public level. The Hollywood Syndicate is REAL. When that much money is at stake people do whatever needed to secure those funds and make sure they keep rolling in. Soundgarden hasn’t had a hit in years… Just imagine how much money will be made on a greatest hits album. T-shirts, memoribilia etc. The argument is there..
Thanks, Joe. This guy, along with many other people, continues to speak about this theory to this day. Normally I would have skipped by, but I respect Joe Rogan. It’s the worst type of disrespect. There’s nothing to back up it up. Anyone who has been that down with depression knows that anything can trigger an opportunity. I was fortunate to live. It’s just that deep.
Hey red shirt guy here tripping bro the truth needs to come out Chris was murdered and so was Chester what is it a coincidence that they both died by hanging over suicides know from all the research I’ve done a lot of musicians are dying because their time is up they make deals with the devil and then it’s time to pay your debt you only get so many years he enhances your ability to do greatness and then he comes for what you owe him I love them both as musicians and he gifted them with the voice in the hands to play Amazing Music but he came to take his end of the bargain they didn’t find anything out look it up illuminati Satanic rituals selling your soul all these things are connected that’s all I got to say
It was for awareness of suicide. Linkin Park – sorry for now perusal the wings cut through the clouds perusal the raindrops blinking red and white Thinking are you back on the ground There with a fire burning in your eyes I only halfway apologize And I’ll be sorry for now That I couldn’t be around Sometimes things refuse to go the way we planned Oh I’ll be sorry for now That I couldn’t be around There will be a day that you will understand You will understand After a while you may forget But just in case the memories cross your mind You couldn’t know this when I left Under the fire of your angry eyes I never wanted to say goodbye So I’ll be sorry for now That I couldn’t be around Sometimes things refuse to go the way we planned Oh I’ll be sorry for now That I couldn’t be around There will be a day that you will understand You will understand Yeah, stop telling ’em to pump the bass up Tried to call home but nobody would wake up Switch your time zones can’t pick the bass up I just passed out by the time you wake up Best things come to those who wait And it’s time to get pumped on any road you take Don’t ever have a problem make no mistake I can’t wait to come back when I’m going away I’ll be sorry for now That I couldn’t be around There are things we have to do that we can’t stand Oh I’ll be sorry for now That I couldn’t be around There will be a day that you will understand Oh I’ll be sorry for now That I couldn’t be around There are things we have to do that we can’t stand Oh I’ll be sorry for now That I couldn’t be around There will be a day that you will understand You will understand You will understand You will understand
His guests really wasn’t picking up on the hint I think that from an administrative point of view Rogan was trying to get his guests to understand that he can’t just blanketly espouse certain ideas and theories if they’re in the slightest way false. Otherwise, Rogan stands the chance of possibly being sued by people for chiming into such a debate. So from a legal standpoint I kind of understand where Rogan was coming from with what he was trying to get across to the guest who would not shut up.
Eddie should be embarrassed for acting this way, his ego won’t allow him to listen to anybody not even his closest friends, clearly. That mindset is contagious and its inevitably a waste of fucking time. Respect to Joe for shutting it down out of respect to the dead, obviously Eddie was being disrespectful but hes totally oblivious to it. And no, I guarantee Joe isn’t afraid of ANY conspiracy coming to get him for talking about it… Conspiracies are being treated like a game to MOST people, like a puzzle to solve and they have fun trying to figure it out and sound educated. It spreads because their like puzzles to most, but people with mental disorders are best served by never even being introduced to that shit. Those are the people that take it seriously, far too seriously, and they ruin their own lives with very real paranoia and other things that keep them from living a good life. Its sad and people need to recognize that most of these “theories” are full of blatant disinformation, cherry picking, lies of omission etc. Very few real conspiracies are out there and even fewer have legit been proven to exist with hard evidence of their crimes or whatever. There are so many supposed conspiracies popping up now, you think thats a coincidence? Its a FAD, its gonna be popular for a couple years maybe and only the radicalized nuts will stick with it and like I said just end up wasting their lives.
Man I fucking hate when people are so dumbfounded when someone “happy” commits suicide that it must be a conspiracy get fucked. It’s exactly that mindset that this couldn’t be real is why this shit happens. If people really understood how easily this shit grips you and ruins you maybe they’d be able to approach it better.
disrespectful? wtf if you really were a fan its disrespectful to look at all the facts and similarities and look at the bigger picture. imagine they were murdered and thats the last thing that went through their minds like fuck im going to get killed. instead of justice they make him out to be his own killer? cmon chris went through so much tragedy and still didnt off himself so did chester. chester looks scarily similar to john podesta as well and chester was abused as a child. idk if you really liked them justice is the best
Joe so firmly repeating he doesn’t want to talk about it or even exploring the idea when they were just talking about other suspicious suicides sure is suspect. Almost like he’s trying to save his own ass from being murdered. 🤔 then at the end when eddies finally like I get it maybe he did do it himself let’s just change the subject, joes like “phew” and breathes out a huge sigh of relief like he dodged a bullet..
I get what Joe was saying. If it had basically just happened the discussion he has on his platform immediately creates a spotlight on him and the subject and gets him into shit with people who are still grieving.. “OH SO CHESTER DIES AND YOU START MAKING A BUCK OFF HIS DEATH WITH THIS BULLSHIT?” sort of thing..
While you can’t rule the possibility of a murder, chronic depression is bound to make a person suicidal. I’ve been struggling for the last 15 years now and never can I ever look forward to the next day. So this is a really tough one to call but my really believe the unstoppable mental anguish took it’s toll on Chester and unfortunately forced him to take his life. RIP.
I don’t know who CC is, just happened on this article, but I looked at TMZ’s site and it shows this elastic cord attached to the top of the bathroom door with the loop hanging down…even if the guy was laying directly on the floor, there is no way he would get enough tension with that rubber tube to be more than an annoyance, let alone sufficient pressure to cut off his air flow. From the pics… @t …I would say the cord is minimum 44 inches, plus the ‘Bionic Body door anchor and carabiner… @t …is good for another 12 inches, subtract 10 inches (under tension) for the noose and that leaves an elastic cord length of 46 inches hanging off a std. 80 inch tall door. So, unless this guy was REALLY short, how does a man hang himself 34 inches off the floor…when the cord will easily stretch that length??? Did this guy know the Clintons?
Rogan was like not having ANY of it, i HATE telling someone to STOP and they jus keep going, and then they continue and continue and then they even go on to saying ok im done and then continue and continue that shit makes my blood BOIL sooooooo badly, jus the persistence when you say shut up you agree and continue its such a peeve its crazy
Whenever the brutal truth is presented the telltale sign is when it is heard people clam up. “You can’t handle the truth” and I can’t handle fucking liars! Bravo Eddie for speaking the TRUTH!! The harsh reality is that there is a divide between those who know and those who don’t want to know because there is only one truth and it will set you free.
I can’t believe that people are really defending eddie. He had just died at this point… to think about this time even hurts. I wouldn’t even care if aliens killed him. He died and you are talking about theories? He killed himself and that’s a fact. When I hear people think that something else happened it makes me sad.
I don’t know if I blame Joe, he knew If he talked about it he’d end up like they did. Theres too much evidence for it to be just two suicides. Either way this is some pussy ass shit. Joe got himself up to the position he’s in right now. He’s the cause of his fame and with his great power comes great responsibility. So speak up. Even if it gets you killed, speak up. No one would let it go down and forget about it if he did. He knows something and he’s not saying. Respect to that other dude for wanting to get to the truth without throwing joe under the bus
FROM SOMEONE THAT HAS LOST SEVERAL PEOPLE DO TO SUICIDE, DRUGS, ETC THERES NO WAY IN HELL CHESTER & CHRIS DIED THE SAME WAY IN SUICIDE. NO DISRESPECT TO THE FAMILY, BUT SOMEONE ALWAYS FEELS OR KNOWS SOMETHING IS GOING TO HAPPEN WHEN ITS SUICIDE. YOU FEEL SOMETHING IS WRONG YOU CANT SHAKE THE FEELING WHEN ITS SUICIDE
Lol people in the comments trying to justify conspiracy theories about a man who just committed suicide, as confirmed by his friends and close family… just so sad how “fans” feel the need to pump baseless bullshit into the ether only for the family of the deceased to be harassed and confronted again and again with the death of their loved one
