In LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7, players can switch characters, choose spells from the spell wheel, lock on targets, swap spells using the right control pad, or use the square button to switch between outfits. However, access to “fun” spells has changed in the game. Students default to Wingardium Leviosa, while adults default to Leviosa.
The controls in LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 are simple and limited to a few, but they keep switching every second, which is annoying. To move one to another spot, use the multipurpose button X, which is used to cast and cancel spells. Spells and magic abilities are referred to by shortcuts, which are grouped in order of their use.
To switch spells, press and hold Y to bring up the list of spells and go to the red ones. The “C” button is required for it to display, and the thumbstick must be used to choose a spell and then press “Z” to cast it. Two shoulder buttons can be used to switch spells.
For LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7, players can head into the main menu and select “Extras” from the cheats section. The guide provides shortcuts for each spell, and players can find cheats in the cheats section.
In summary, LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 offers a more engaging and challenging experience for players. Players can switch characters, choose spells, lock on targets, swap spells, and find outfits using various shortcuts. However, some players have reported issues with certain spells and difficulty in completing story missions.

Thank you! I’ve been looking for a character to unlock the dark items and everyone was telling me I need Tom Riddle, Voldemort, etc. however their ideas didn’t help with what I was trying to actually accomplish. Your tutorial actually answered my question as well as showing me where & how to find the character token. I’m really happy that it’s Prof. Snape! He’s quite a strong character and I like choosing him for game play as well as the ability to open the dark chests. Liked & Subscribed ^_^
