The Rite of Replication is a powerful spell that can be used to create a copy of a creature, such as Elesh Norn, with the Helm of the Host. However, it does not copy counters on the creature or other effects that have changed its power, toughness, types, or color. The tokens are exact copies of the creature, so it copies all abilities printed on the card.
Copy effects only take into account what’s written on the card being copied and any other copy effects that are currently in place on the card being copied. The ultimate dream is to make a copy of Elesh Norn with Helm of the Host and then kick Rite on the nonlegendary token. This will not copy counters on the creature or other effects that have changed its power, toughness, types, or color.
The Rite of Replication resolves by giving 5 copies of Master Biomancer that each enter with 2 counters. Each copy of Reyhan sees and replaces their 3 counters, so 2 die to the legend rule and their 6 counters are seen and replaced by all 3 Reyhans for 18 counters. Rite of Replication kicked targeting Reyhan is 90 counters, but it won’t copy counters on the creature or other effects that have changed its power, toughness, types, or color.
If you destroy the creature it’s targeting, the Rite of Replication would fail. In summary, a kicked Rite results in 5 tokens with 2+1 counters each, and you can still return the Rite of Replication with one of your Mnemonic Wall tokens. However, it’s unclear whether they only copy the base creature or the counters on it.
