This guide is specific to BGEE and discusses various spells that become more or less useful in BG2EE. Gorion, a level 9 mage, spends the past 20 years holed up in Candlekeep, where he has been in contact with the Bhaalspawn. He casts Contingency and Protection from Magical Weapons, both 6th-level spells, and fires a chain contingency. The race of Gorion is likely Human or Half-Elf, as they are the only two races with no boost or abilities.
Spell progression tables show how different classes gain more spell slots and spell levels. When picking up Gorion’s scroll, dialogue with Imoen is provided, and the choice between burying him immediately or informing the Gatekeeper is made. Level 9 spells include Time Stop, Chain Contingency (CC), Spellstrike, and Wish.
Magic Missile is one of the most used “spam just always” spells, but its low power score makes it mostly useless in BGII. Gorion is levelless and classless, having 290 HP and a thaco of 11. He is a monk, skilled spellcaster, learned sage, and respected Harper. In each dream, Gorion’s Ward acquires a special ability due to being Bhaalspawn.
Gorion’s level is determined by his magic missiles, which fire spells. Permanent spells with an Adventure you aren’t casting won’t trigger this ability. The master book of magery, passed down from Gorion, may be a useful reference for understanding his abilities.
In the story, Gorion was a powerful wizard, possibly even worthy of the title of Archmage. However, in game, he is not very powerful, around 7th level or so.

Who finally kills Ward?
Grant Ward, a former Hydra leader, joins forces with Gideon Malick to search for the ancient Inhuman Hive on an alien planet. However, Coulson kills him, allowing Hive to use Ward’s body as a host. Ward is Skye’s boyfriend and fellow Hydra agent, now working for the Inhuman resistance led by Jeffrey Mace. He was recruited by Victoria Hand at a young age. Ward was cast in November 2012 as a traitor, inspired by Jason Bourne and Ethan Hunt. His initial costumes were based on function and a muted color palette to reflect his serious attitude.
After being outed as Hydra and becoming a prisoner of S. H. I. E. L. D., Ward grows a beard for the character, explaining that S. H. I. E. L. D. would not provide a razor for a prisoner, so beards can have an evil connotation. Trenton Rogers and Austin Lyon portray a young Ward.

Who killed Jaheira’s husband?
In Baldur’s Gate 2, the Harpers, along with Imoen, Minsc, and Dynaheir, were kidnapped by Jon Irenicus. Jaheira, escaping Irenicus’ dungeon, discovers her husband’s lifeless body and suspects Irenicus used him in twisted experiments. Khalid’s body is too damaged to be magically resurrected. Despite her husband’s death, Jaheira is a romance option for male human, elf, half-elf, and halfling player characters. Players can rescue her from a curse and help her renounce her status as a Harper after discovering corruption within the organization.
If romanced, Jaheira would not marry the player but would have a stable relationship despite often spending years apart. Khalid, a quiet warrior, is often chosen by Irenicus to avoid fights, making his chosen few often the right ones.
Was Ward brainwashed?
Garrett had spent years in close proximity to Ward, effectively indoctrinating him into becoming a devoted and obedient follower. Despite the relatively brief period of time that Garrett spent with the bus team, his influence on him remained considerable. This is analogous to the phenomenon observed in cases of domestic abuse, whereby the victim is conditioned to remain in the abusive relationship.
Is Ward a good guy?
Ward, initially a loyal S. H. I. E. L. D. black ops specialist, later became a sadistic, manipulative, and delusional double agent of HYDRA. He rose to become one of the organization’s remaining leaders and is considered the most personal and dangerous adversary of the S. H. I. E. L. D. agents from his old team. Ward is the arch-nemesis of Phil Coulson, their leader, and his former love interest Daisy Johnson, who is also the girlfriend of his Framework counterpart.
Portrayed by Brett Dalton, Ward was recruited and trained by John Garrett, who was secretly a mastermind known as “the Clairvoyant” running the Centipede Group. During this time, Ward developed genuine affection for his teammates, particularly the hacker Daisy “Skye” Johnson, whom he developed feelings for.
Who killed Gorion’s Ward?
The question of who or what Gorions Ward was is a difficult one, as Abdel Adrian is dead and killed by Viekang, a cowardly character who disappears in a lightning bolt in the SoA and ToB games. The murder in Baldur’s Gate happens a decade before Descent Into Avernus and Baldur’s Gate 3. It is possible to bring back Gorion’s Ward, similar to Sarevok Anchev, and possibly bring back all Gorion’s Ward brothers and sisters. However, the Canonical hero of the Baldurs Gate series, Abdel Adrian, is still alive in “Murder of Bladurs Gate”, so it is possible that Abdel Adrian might be present.
Is Gorion’s Ward a bhaalspawn?
Gorion’s Ward is a Bhaalspawn raised by Gorion at Candlekeep, unaware of their heritage. They were raised alongside other orphans, including Imoen. Is Baldur’s Gate like D&D?
Baldur’s Gate 3 is a video game adaptation of the fifth edition of Dungeons and Dragons, a classic tabletop RPG. However, the game has several unique elements that are difficult to translate into a video game, making changes to the game’s rules necessary. Some changes are minor, affecting certain actions, while others fundamentally alter the experience. Baldur’s Gate 3 effectively adapts the Dungeons and Dragons experience to video game form, but there are significant differences between it and its inspiration.
Some core aspects of Dungeons and Dragons are fundamentally impossible to translate, while others work better in tabletop play. Most of these changes are minor, but some overhaul the experience significantly. Comparing Baldur’s Gate 3 and Dungeons and Dragons offers insight into the strengths and weaknesses of each experience, as well as the work Larian Studios put into creating a game around Dungeons and Dragons concepts without letting rules take over from fun.

Does Baldur’s Gate have all spells?
Gorion’s Ward and select party members can cast spells from two categories: Wizard and Priest spellbooks, which consist of spells from eight different schools of magic. The priest spellbook has seven spell levels, while the wizard spellbook has nine. Only the first five levels from each spellbook are available in the game.
The eight schools of magic include Alteration, Abjuration, Conjuration/Summoning, Divination, Enchantment/Charm, Evocation/Invocation, Illusion/Phantom, and Necromancy. Each school focuses on different aspects of magic, such as altering reality, protecting against elements, conjuring armor and creatures, identifying magical items, manipulating creatures’ minds, summoning weapons and damage-inflicting spells, altering appearance and invisibility, and allowing life and death.
Spells can be categorized into one spellbook, but some exceptions exist at different spell levels available in the different spellbooks. Wizards and priests use spell slots, which can be filled with a memorized spell of a specific level and can only be used once. Spells assigned to slots are restored after resting in inns, dungeons, or outside in the wilderness.

So, normal for the unpatched 5 disc version then. You know the one, where The Armor Figure has the same HP values as Sarevok, and Gorion throws out like 200 damage on his maximum values, which required a patch to give The Armored Figure like 250 health. That then required a second patch, when Gorion crit a few times in a row with his attacks, still killing the Armored Figure.
