The company will also accept Google’s upcoming Android Pay. Rite Aid also supports tap and pay credit and debit cards.

Tap to pay is an increasingly popular payment method that allows shoppers to make contactless purchases by tapping their card or scanning an app on their phone. This way, they don’t have to swipe their card or use cash. Rite Aid stores will accept mobile payments, including Apple Pay and Google Wallet, starting on Saturday, August 15. The Merchant Customer Exchange (MCX) consortium includes some of the biggest retailers in the US, such as Walmart.

Rite Aid also supports tap and pay credit and debit cards. Apple has been working to expand Apple Pay support among other retailers. Installments with Afterpay is a service that allows customers to make purchases now and pay for them over time. Rite Aid accepts checks for purchases at all corporate store locations with no maximum limits or cash back.

In addition to accepting Apple Pay and Google Pay, Rite Aid has joined the Kubra retail cash network, allowing customers to pay bills at the brand’s 2,257 locations across 17 states. The company’s official payment policy states that “most all Rite Aid stores do accept Apple Pay payments both in-store and online as of 2023”.
